Later in the day, all the volunteers were making debrief of their day.

Of course Eunmi was listening carefully whereas L.Joe was bored and keeps playing with the piece of paper in his hands.

“So next week, there will be 3 birthdays, we have some preparations to do”

The lady started to announce duties and the people in charge of them.

“And finally, Lee Byunghyun is in charge of the banner. Since you are new here, you will do the easiest thing”

L.Joe shot Eunmi a ‘I don’t want’ look.

She rolled her eyes and shifted her eyes on the lady.  

Few minutes later, it ended. Everyone started to leave the orphanage.

At the dinner time, L.Joe was talking about his day with his parents.

“So you have made a banner?” his mother asked.

“Neh, but I don’t know how to do it” he answered while stirring the food on his plate.

“Why don’t you ask Eunmi? I saw her banner at the birthday party of one of my sick child in the hospital. It was really beautiful” His fathers proposed.

“She did it?” He asked slightly surprised.

“This girl is really a heartwarming child. I wish I have a daughter like her” his mother sighed.

He rolled his eyes and finished his meal.

On Monday, like usual, Eunmi was taking her books from her locker. The corridor was empty except Eunmi and a blond boy who was walking toward her. She closed her lockers and turned around. L.Joe was standing there in front of her. Surprised she slightly jumped back.

He piercing gazed was on her, with a sigh he started the discussion “Hello”

She let out a chuckle “Oh Mr L.Joe is not the type to say Hi on his own”

“Okay, I need your help for the project”

She smiled and walked away.

L.Joe followed her “Come on, it’s for the children at the orphanage”

“No way! Let me remind you, you said, it ”

He sighed “Ok, I’m sorry, I was wrong. Please for the children”

All of sudden, she spun around, L.Joe stopped.

“Ok, I will help you, but only at one condition”

He raised an eyebrow “What?”

She took a serious expression “Promise me that you won’t fall in love with me. Never”

L.Joe burst into laugh “Don’t worry, it will never happen”

“No I’m very serious” she shot him a daring look.

He calmed himself and finally stopped laughing “I am”

“Ok, after school at my house”
