College ExperiencesRyeowook could barely contain his laughter, taking in the boy standing crankily in front of him in the food hall line.
“Don't laugh!!!” Kyuhyun grumbled, arms crossed across his ridiculously puffed-up chest as he tried – and failed – to glare menacingly at his friend. Ryeowook had seen many things in the past couple of months on campus, but Kyuhyun dressed up in a cheesy batman costume, cape and all, had to take the cake.
“I'm... I'm not laughing.” Ryeowook whispered, biting his lip in a desperate attempt to contain his giggles as the cafeteria worker eyed the pair wearily.
“I'll have you know its for a dare.” Kyuhyun huffed.
“Oh I'm sure you've already lost then.” Ryeowook retorted, Kyuhyun giving him a light shove with his hip in retaliation.
“Changmin – you know that sports major I hang out with? Well he bet that between the both of us he'd be the one to last longest wearing a ridiculous costume in public. The winner gets whatever they want for the other, and you bet I'm milking him of all his food hall credits.”
At Ryeowook's confused eyebrow raise Kyuhyun just sighed in mock defeat, picking up their food trays and turning to search for an empty table to sit at.
“Honestly I am just amazed you're even still with me right now.” Kyuhyun teased. “You're so shy at times I thought you'd go running the second you caught sight of me.”
“I'm not that bad.” Ryeowook pouted, blush rising as a group of girls they passed began to laugh. “How can you deal with all the people staring at you?” Ryeowook asked, shrinking slightly as Kyuhyun just shrugged.
“Eh, Its embarrassing for awhile but we're young! Life is all about being dumb and making a fool out of ourselves! Next time you can dress up as Robin with me.” he laughed, Ryeowook frowning as he dropped into an empty seat.
“There is no way you would ever get me to do that.”
“Okay, okay you've convinced me.” Kyuhyun smirked. “Catwoman it is!”
Glaring Ryeowook threw a handful of chips at the other, Kyuhyun laughing as they bounced off his fake chest and fell onto the table. Quickly Kyuhyun picked some of them up, shoving them into his mouth with a delighted grin.
“God you are so gross sometimes.” Ryeowook grimaced.
“Just wait for halloween Wook – you're not getting out of this.” Kyuhyun teased, ignoring Ryeowook's complaints as he took more of the others fries. Ryeowook gave him a half-hearted glare, looking over the others shoulder before frowning slightly.
“What's with the frown?” Kyuhyun mumbled between chews. “Thinking about how much effort a wig is going to be?”
“N-No!” Ryeowook blushed, glaring at the others amused smirk. “I was just thinking about the dare--”
Kyuhyun snorted, quickly cutting the other off. “Oh relax would you! Min has more than enough credits, me winning won't affect his ability to eat! Trust me nothing could ever get between him and food, he'll be fine.”
“Oh, I'm not worried about that.”
“You're not?” Kyuhyun frowned. “Then what's with the frown?”
“Its just that,” Ryeowook sighed. “I think I just saw your Changmin friend walk in and he is definitely not wearing any sort of costume...”
Kyuhyun froze. “You can't be serious?”
Ryeowook just raised his hand to point over the others shoulder, the taller twisting in his seat to spot the boy in question stood at the entrance of the food hall, clothes as plain as can be.
“That !” Kyuhyun growled, eyes burning as he turned back to face Ryeowook. “Mind my food Wook, I've got someone to kill...”
Ryeowook nodded as the taller took off from his seat, cape flowing behind him as he chased Changmin out of the building. Ryeowook just sighed, reaching over to take the dessert sitting on Kyuhyuns now abandoned tray.
The taller had technically won the bet – Ryeowook figured he could always afford another one.
