Prom was days later. The date was coming soon in less than a week, faster than a blink of an eye; 28 October. Recently to my big huge surprise, Jinyoung had been talking to me when we met up for lunch with B1A4. He wasn’t treating me like glass anymore, but looking at him reminded me of his precious handkerchief. I couldn’t shake that thought off so I had been practically living with it.

Of course my sisters and some very aggressive fans attempted to do some real nasty things to me and Jin Ah. But of course we were very much unharmed.

Sandeul showed his very manly side in protecting his girlfriend. That hidden flaming charisma scared the hell out of those possessive fans. They’re popular! So it was almost every girl’s dream in this High School to be their girlfriend. But we didn’t look at them that way, or maybe it was just our luck meeting them.. in the hallway? ha. I’m sure that didn’t need a reason. Well, I was amazed that I wasn’t even hurt by those weird girls. Jinyoung came to my rescue… I know right! It was a coincidence and I was secretly enjoying the moment but…

Anyway, here was what happened…

Girls: YA YA YA YA YA THAT GIRL THERE YES YOU STOP RIGHT NOW!

Me: Err? What do you want?

Girl A: YA DON’T GET ALL HIGH AND MIGHTY AT US! YOU KNOW WHAT JINYOUNG OPPA IS MINE.

Me: So obviously this girl’s their ‘Boss’. Err so? Jinyoung is friend with me and you’re jealous?

Girl B: YA YA YA YA WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU STILL ACTING ALL MIGHTY HUH?! *slaps my books off my hands*

Me: HEY! NOW THIS IS RUDE! YOU GUYS SHOULD TALK TO JINYOUNG THEN WHY FIND ME?! TSK!

Girl A: *steps on my bio textbook* YOU THINK WE WOULD WANT JINYOUNG TO SEE US LIKE THIS? AT TIMES LIKE THIS WE SLAP YOU! *raises hand preparing to give me one tight slap*

Me: *squeezes eyes shut waiting for the hit*

Seconds later nothing came. I heard her gasped.

Voice: What do you think you’re doing? *I opened my eyes slowly and my jaw dropped*

Girls: Jinyoung oppa, no no this is not what you’re seen, she she she called us names!

Me: *stands up and mega rolled eyes* Okay look who’s talking.

Jinyoung: *look at me while still grabbing that Girl A’s hands* Are you okay? You hurt anywhere? *his eyes literally shooting diamonds at me – too dazzling*

Me: Er.. *dusted my jeans* Nope I can jump! *jump a little*

Girl A: *disgusted face* Jinyoung oppa my wrist hurts! And what do you guys see in this woman and her.. her… eww… her friend..?! OWW OPPA!

Jinyoung: If you girls confront her again. We will ban you from our concert forever. *Monstrous glare*

Alright I was being very very very exaggerating, I wasn’t really seeing any monstrous stares from Jinyoung but I’ve never seen him so mad. He was fuming like literally prepared to push her away or something. I shivered a little to be frank.

Me: Jinyoung I’m fine it’s okay. *Glare at the girls* Now you guys should leave. GO!

Girls: *ran off like rats still uttering their disapproval*

Jinyoung: *turn to me, worried* You sure? I can… I can... nevermind. *bends down and picked up my books*

Me: Erm.. thankyou Jin.. Jinyoung. *Heat filled up my cheeks*

Jinyoung:  Don’t worry about it.

OH GAWD. That awesome glorious gorgeous insert-whatever-words-you-can-think-off smile was back. Beaming at my face. I could never really get used to that smile. A smile that could light up the whole town, and I realised it was the sincere smile I've always wanted to see.

Jinyoung: *still holding my books* Let’s go. The rest are waiting.

Me: OH that reminds me. Why are you here? To…no other meaning… but… you’re here to…f..fetch..m..me? *jaw dropping moment here*

Jinyoung: *looking infront while walking like avoiding my eyes or what* Something like that.

Me: Right boy what the food do you mean by ‘something like that’ OTL nevermind. Erm.. but thankyou. I was quite sure that will be quite a slap back there. *I flinched*

Jinyoung: Um. 

I thought he looked murderous for a moment. Maybe that was once again my very creative imagination. 

So, didn’t you think that his attitude was kind of better? Maybe I was all too mesmerized by his smile and all. Whatever you say. So we met up with the rest later and ate then me and Jin Ah was all gossipy about those girls cause apparently they were the same ones that got to Jin Ah. We did our homework together in their practice studio and they taught us a little of that breeze dance move. It was fun. Always fun hanging out with B1A4.

We’re really lucky.

And Mr. Mysterious kind of texted me often too after our long phone call, but I was totally embarrassed because apparently I fell asleep unknowingly without even hanging up the phone. I wondered if I snored or what. OMG NOWAY. It was the best period of my life so far, if I don’t think about Jinyoung and that cursed handkerchief that much.

I couldn’t help it! I chose him. It was what I’ve decided and no matter what happens I’ll stick to it.
