My own reflection was totally capable of scaring me. My face looked like a big balloon. My already tiny eyes? Puffy.

I lost track of the time, I just kept crying. Gary told me he left right after I got up. There was something about his expression that looked just as bad as I was.

“WHY ARE YOU LATE JI HYE?! NOW GET INTO YOUR ROOM.” She had to scream at me the moment I got home, and my sisters just sneered.

“Oooo ~ Someone’s upset isn’t she?”

Eww. I would have tried to burn them alive. I swear.

*text tone*

Hi there, Princess. I can’t sleep. Talk to me will you?

Guilt. We knew each other longer than I even knew Jinyoung. Yet I dumped you for him. Not exactly dumped, but I gave you up. Well, you might not feel that way towards me anyway so maybe it wasn’t that bad.

I don’t know what’s got into me, but somehow he was always here when I needed him, I was already dependent on him. He don’t have to speak, I just wanted someone to listen to me.

Alright. I won’t speak. I’ll listen to you, tell me everything. I’ll be here.

I lips naturally curled up into a smile and pressed the call key. He picked that up almost immediately. It was quiet over the phone. So he was alone I suppose, there was no sound until I heard his soft breathing. He didn’t talk of course.

“Err, Hi? Ji Hye’s here. Mmm. So, you’re not gonna talk are you? Nevermind you’re there that’s good enough. We’re still going to prom? Nevermind. I can’t sleep now, someone broke my heart today. Hah don’t laugh okay…”

I thought I was imagining things but I was sure I heard him gasp, I ignored that and continued the story on my pathetic day. I told him about Jinyoung, about him, about how I appreciate him with me and that I was kind of sorry for ditching him.

I heard his soft chuckles and short gasps in between my words. Even though He didn’t speak but that was good enough. I had probably told him everything that I was hiding all these while.

We or should I say, I, talked for a long time. I didn’t realise that my eyelids were getting heavier each minute, with him over at the other end of the phone, I felt safe and secure at the same time.. slowly.. my consciousness gave way.

She called me tonight. I wasn’t exactly feeling all that great either.

Her voice sounds nice even over the phone. I tried so hard to contain my happiness but I guess picking up the phone even before it rang kind of gave that away.

She told me everything tonight.

The most crucial question that I always wanted to know. I got my answer today. I don’t know what I should be feeling. I didn’t know she cried. I was all nervous and trying to keep calm in case I gave my cover away.
