Baekhyun and you were now on the road, heading to who knows where. You were looking out of the window at the sky, which had gradually turned pitch black with only the street lights and a few twinkling stars giving you any light to see with. Baekhyun had turned the radio on before you both had left the Kepton residence, and one of your favorite songs was playing at the moment. Infinite's "Man In Love" played through the car's speakers, and you couldn't help but hum along since it was such a catchy song. 

You glanced over at Baekhyun, showcasing a smile since everything at the moment felt absolutely right.The situation with Kai slipping from your mind. Man In Love's chorus was now being played, and you couldn't help but reminisce on the past events that had taken place in your life. Sure, there were times when you felt like you were on the edge of self destruction, and just wanted to give up on your relationship with Baekhyun completely, but you were glad that you hadn't. All the that you went through was worth every bit of the pain that you had experienced, and it may seem like such a ludicrous thing to be admitting if you were to tell someone exactly what you were feeling, but you didn't care. You were finally happy again. You were happy with Baekhyun. You always were, you realized. 

"We're almost there", he spoke, grasping your attention. You gently placed your hand atop of his, which was resting on the car's gear stick. 

"Will you finally tell me where we're going?" you pouted. 

He chuckled lightly at your attempt at aegyo. "Nope", he replied, popping the P. 

A small frown formed on your face, but you weren't really mad. It was refreshing seeing this side of Baekhyun again after so long. Him acting all childish and stubborn, acting like how he did before he became so busy with work. 

"Don't be mad", he cooed as he gave your hand a loving squeeze.  "I just want this to be surprise".

You showed him a smile in response, telling him that you weren't mad. 

Eventually Infinite's song ended and another tune replaced it. This time, the song playing just so happened to be U-KISS's "My Reason". It was like the world is trying to talk to me, you thought increduously. The lyrics once again related so much to your current situation, that you were a bit freaked out. The song played : 

" I fell for you the moment I first saw you,

You were so beautiful, 

I fell so deeply for you, 

I felt it for the first time, 

The thing called love, and my heart racing, 

I can't help my heart feeling this way..." 

These lyrics corresponded so well with your present-day circumstances, and they also helped to once again open up your eyes to just how much you had fallen for Baekhyun. You knew deep down that you had always loved him, but after going through all that you had with him recently, you knew that your love for him had strengthened. 

I know, you thought. I should be feeling the opposite of what I'm feeling right now, but it's Baekhyun that we're talking about. Who can resist him and his childish charms? You laughed mentally at your remark. 

Baekhyun and you soon came to a stop in front of a desolate field of grass, which was placed in front of a magnificient building. 

If I thought that Mr. Kepton's house was stunning, I definitely wouldn't have thought that if I had seen this place first, you pondered. 

  This is the Chateau de Versailles from a different angle. 

"Where are we?" you awed. 

"We're at the Chateau de Versailles", he answered factually. "It had been a castle in the seventeenth century." 

"It's so old", you commented without thinking. Baekhyun doubled over in laughter, his hands clutching onto his stomach. 

"You're so weird", he said. "I like that", he added as he draped his arm over your shoulders, bringing you closer to his side. "Hah, this time you didn't scream." he pointed out with a smile.

"What do you mean?" you asked, confused. 

"Last time I placed my arm on your shoulders, which was when we were at the Eiffel Tower, you screamed", he answered. You recalled the event he was describing. 

"I did not scream!" you scolded him. 

"Yeah, yeah. Whatever", he stubbornly replied, snatching up your cheeks with his hands. You puffed out your cheeks in annoyment before you lightly pushed him away from you. His continuous laughter only fueled your growing annoyment. 

"I'm going to go back to the car if the only purpose of you bringing me here was to annoy me to death", you declared. 

"Okay! Okay! I'll stop. Don't go", Baekhyun pleaded as he wrapped his arms around you, not wanting to let you go. 

"Aiiish. Fine", you replied teasingly. You then untangled yourself from his hug, grabbing one of his hands with yours. "Let's go and explore this place!"  you exclaimed excitedly. 

He smiled at you in return before leading you towards the open garden area in front of the castle. 

By now, it was nearly 11 o'clock  at night, so it was no surprise that Baekhyun and you were the only people inhabiting the castle grounds. You both wandered around aimlessly through the garden, taking in the foliage decorated with beautiful flowers that you had never seen before. The multiple lights placed around the garden provided a subtle glow that allowed you guys a clear enough view of your surroundings. By now, the sky was completely dark and littered with glowing stars, providing Baekhyun and you with the most jaw dropping sight when you both looked up. 

You breathed in the bittersweet scent of the flowers, savoring the moment as best as you could. Baekhyun and you continued to stroll around the garden hand-in-hand, keeping silent as the gorgeous scenery spoke an inaudible language to you both through its undeniable beauty. Suddenly approaching a large fountain in the center of the humongous garden, Baekhyun came to a halt.  

"Baek, why're you stopping?" you wondered aloud.

"I want to see if we can take a look around the castle." you whined, lightly tugging his arm towards the direction of the building. 

He released a nervous breath that you didn't know he had been holding, then locked his gaze with yours. Before you could even comprehend the current situation, he was kneeled before you on one knee, his hand disappearing into his coat pocket before emerging into sight, only this time, it held a small black  box. 

"Y/N", he began. 

You're eyes widened as you connected the dots and realized what was happening. 

"I may be crazy for doing this right now, and I'm scared less that you'll say no. But that's something that I won't know till I ask. But the one thing that I know for certain, is that I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I love you so much, I can't even comprehend what'd I do without you." Baekhyun declared, his voice showing nothing but sincerity. 

Tears began to well up in your eyes, your mind scattered all over the place from all that he had just said. Your heart felt like it was ready to jump out of your chest and rocket a hundred feet into the air. All you wanted to do was jump into Baekhyun's arms and kiss his lips to shut him up already. Of course you would say yes! You loved him just as much as he loved you. Hey, maybe even more. 

" Will you marry me?" he finally finished. 

You decided to for a bit and remained silent. Seeing the look of worry taking over his face, you did all you could not to laugh. But it didn't work out all too well, and your laughter escaped from your mouth. 

Baekhyun let out a scoff, totally caught off guard by how you reacted to his question that he had wanted to ask you for weeks, but was always to nervous to do so. 

"You know what! I was just joking"  he said indignantly, pouting his lips in annoyment. 

Finishing your laughing fit, you spoke the words that you had wanted to tell him as soon as you had discovered what he was doing.

 "Yes. Of course I'll marry you, you big dummy!" you exclaimed before pulling him up into a hug. 

"Yahh! You had me scared to death!" he yelled as he embraced you tightly. "I thought you were going to say no".

"Why?" you asked, completely curious as to why he thought that. 

"Well, it would definitely have to do with the fact that I screwed up greatly when I cheated on you. Oh, and also the fact that I know you have some feelings for that Kai douche", he answered matter of factly. 

You smiled before answering him, telling him all that had been on your mind the past few days. 

"Baekhyun, I love you, and only you. And yeah, you did up, but I forgive you. It's in the past, and I know that if you ever up like that again, I'll chop your balls off." you joked. 

"But I trust you not to do that to me ever again. Besides, it wasn't entirely your fault that you did what you did, I wasn't there for you. But now that I am, I'm not going anywhere okay? And to make things clear, Kai means nothing to me. That jackass can do whatever the hell he wants, I'm done with him. I want you, and only you. I have no more second thoughts about this. I know in my heart, that I want to spend the rest of my life with you Byun Baekhyun." 

He pulled back a bit from the hug, staring deeply into your eyes, his showing longing and relief. 

"I love you Y/N", was all he said before planting a tender kiss on your lips. 

A/N : I'm extremely sorry for the late update! My friend and I have been working on a new story and I've been focusing on that one more lately, so I'm sorry! My new story's titled Heart Breaker, and it's a Jackson/Mark/OC fanfic. We're planning on releasing it after we've published at least 20 chapters, so I hope you look forward to it :)
