The sun has come out and so has the skin. Kids are in shorts though it's still barely sixty degrees. Everyone eats lunch outdoors. Fany searches the crowd for Tae. 

Kahi: He’s not here.

She looks down to find Kahi sitting on the grass.

Kahi: Whenever the weather’s nice, the
Kim's  disappear.
Fany: They just... ditch?
Kahi: No, Dr. and Mrs. Kim yank ‘em
out for hiking and camping and stuff. I tried the idea out on my parents. Not even close.

Fany registers this as Uee suddenly jumps on them.

Uee: I’m going to the prom with Jae! I
just asked him, I took control! (hugs Fany) Are you sure you have to go out of town? 
Fany: It’s a family thing.
KAhi: Oh my God, we need to hit the
stores in town before the dresses get cleaned out.
Fany: Town?(a plan forming in her mind)Can I go with you guys?
Uee: Thank God. We need your opinion.

Thats not really what Fany had in mind.
