Unicorns For Lay

Kris was busy searching through some boxes when Tao came in. "What are searching for?" Tao sat beside Kris and looked over. "I bought Lay a birthday gift last month. Where did you put it?!" Kris glanced at Tao but the latter just shrugged and looked away. Kris sighed as he continued rummaging the boxes. Wanting to help his roommate, Tao walked around the room to find the gift.

"What does it look like?" 

"A unicorn."

"Unicorn?! They're real?!"

"A plushie, dummy. Idiot..."

"Hey! You should be thanking me for helping."

Kris rolled his eyes, "I didn't ask you to." 

Tao puffed his cheeks and stomped his feet cutely. "Meanie!" Kris laughed at Tao's cuteness and he got up to ruffle Tao's hair. Tao pouted as he tried to straighten his messy hair. "Let's go outside and find." 

They bumped into Suho outside their room. "Hello. Have you seen Lay." Suho bowed 90° and smiled. "No. We are searching for his present." Suho gasped. "Its his birthday?! Oh no! What should I get for him! What does he likes!" "Unicorns." Suho just looked at him in disbelief. "You're kidding." Kris shook his head and laughed. Suho scratched his head before getting ready to go out. Kris leaned close to Tao. "Suho and Lay like each other." Tao nodded in agreement and grinned. "They make such a perfect couple!" Kris rolled his eyes and walked away. "If only you thought like that for us..."

Suho looked around the toy store. He saw many unicorns but was unsure of which to choose. He sighed as he hugged a unicorn tightly and pouted. Girls who passed by giggled at his cuteness, not that he mind. His phone rang and he checked his caller ID. 'Umma♡'. He immediately answered the phone and a bright smile lit up on his face. "Umma!" The woman on the phone chuckled. "My sweet boy, how are you?"

"Fine but I'm having trouble finding a present for a friend of mine."

"Well, what does your friend like?"

"Unicorns."

"Well isn't she cute."

"It's a guy."

"...oh."

"Yeah... but he is a sweet- I mean nice guy." Suho blushed when he almost called Lay, sweet.

"Well, just buy any unicorn. Or just buy him all."

"Really!! Thanks a lot Umma! You're the best! Love you!" Suho hung up and ran around, picking any unicorns he could see and dropped them into a cart. Soon, the cart was full with unicorn plushies. Suho grinned happily. "Lay would love them." He picked up the bags filled with unicorn plushies but he had troubles carrying them.

"Need help?"

Suho looked up and saw Sehun with a bubble tea in his hands. Suho gave an apologetic smile and handed Sehun some of the bags. "Thanks. I'm grateful." Sehun just nodded and walked with Suho. He looked into the bags and chuckled. "This are for Lay right? He does love unicorns." Suho blushed and nodded. "Y-Yeah. It's his birthday. What did you get for him?" Sehun shrugged and returned to drinking his bubble tea. Suho just looked away. They walked silently back home.

While Kris took Lay out, the others were preparing the decorations. "What did you get him, Baekki?" Baekhyun smiled. "Eyeliner, of course. He could use some. His eyes are just... boring. I had to help him look more fabulous." Chanyeol rolled his eyes. He grabbed Baekhyun and brought him to their room. "You need some lecture mister eyeliner diva." Chanyeol closed the door and Luhan immediately placed his ears on them. "What are they doi- ah! Hey!" Sehun lifted him away from the door and sighed. "Finish up the decorations." Luhan puffed his cheeks and went back to do his work, pretending to be angry with Sehun. Sehun rolled his eyes. "Childish."

Kyungsoo was skillfully putting the frost on the cake. Kai leaned on the counter and smirked. "My Kyungie is a great chef isn't he?" D.O smiled at the compliment but immediately glared at Kai when he said, "Kyungie must be awesome in bed~" Kai cackled and ran off before D.O could even throw some frosting on his face. "Yah! Get back here!" Kai just laughed at D.O who was still fuming. Xiumin huffed. He felt tired already, thanks to Chen. "Yah, Baozi! Help me with this!" Chen called... again. Xiumin sighed heavily as he got up from the couch. "Coming!"

Kris and Lay got back from their aimless walking. Kris opened the door and stepped in. The dorm lights were off. "Are they asleep?" Lay asked as he took of his shoes. Suddenly, the lights switched on and the others sprang out from their hidings. "Happy birthday Lay!!"

The boys hugged the blank boy tightly. Lay returned to reality and just couldn't help but smile brightly. "Thank you. This means a lot to me." Luhan looked like he was about to cry. Not wanting to ruin his 'manliness' appearance, he looked away to wipe his tears. "Time to party!!" Baekhyun cheered and ran to get a carton of coke. He passed the cans down and raised his high. "Cheers! To Lay!" The others raised theirs. "To Lay!!" 

They sang and danced around their dorm. Xiumin was amazed that Chen could sing very well. Sehun couldn't help but stare at Luhan who was singing happily. D.O and Baekhyun hugged each other and sang to the music. Sehun, Kai and Lay danced in the middle. Their movements amazed the others. Luhan, D.O and Suho could tell that the three boys were serious dancers. The party ended no sooner and it was time to give the presents. But first, the cake. D.O sang the happy birthday song to Lay as he carried the cake towards the livingroom. "...Happy birthday to~~ you~~ Happy Birthday!" The boys cheered and clapped when Lay blew out the candles. Kris smiled happily at his best friend and Tao noticed it. Tao took note that Kris has been smiling a lot lately.

"Time for presents! I got an awesome present for you." Baekhyun snorted as he handed a small box to Lay. Lay thanked Baekhyun even though he didn't know that it was eyeliner. Kris handed Lay a box containing a limited edition shoes. "For you." Lay's smile widened. He took the present and hugged Kris. "Thank you! You are the bestest friend ever!" Kris laughed and patted Lay's back before pulling away. "I lost my unicorn present so I got you this. Hehe." Chanyeol stood infront and handed Lay a necklace. Lay bowed and gave Chanyeol a hug. He did that for every one of them. When it was Suho's turn, Lay stared at him with anticipation. Suho blushed as he handed bags filled with unicron plushies. Lay gasped at the sight. He took out of one unicorn plushie and hugged it tightly. "This is the best birthday present ever!! Thank you so much Suho! I love you!" Lay pecked Suho's cheeks and hugged the latter. Suho just stood there, face red and body frozen.

The boys around them snickered. Lay realised that he was still clinging onto Suho, he pulled away and blushed. "S-Sorry." Suho just laughed it off and then, there was silence. "Let's go sleep shall we? Theres school tomorrow." Chanyeol spoke and the others nodded in agreement. They soon went to bed.

"Thanks for the unicorn plushies again, Suho. You didn't have to buy me that much." Lay said as he placed the last unicorn plushie beside the others neatly. Suho shook his head and smiled. "I didn't know which you would like so I bought all." Lay laughed and it was music to Suho's ears. Lay tucked into bed, beside Suho. "Goodnight Suho. And... can I hug you?" Suho blushed when Lay wrapped his arms around him. Suho nodded and hugged back. "Goodnight."
