It has now been over a month since former leader Belle left one of SM Entertainment new girl groups ACES, and almost two months since maknae Makayla passed away in a car accident. And with no news or updates from SM Entertainment about ACES at all, allkpop decided to hold a debate article about what we think ACES future could be.

mellisakpop will discuss the positive things on what could happen with ACES and hellojk will talk about the negative things on ACES future.

"ACES future isn't over just yet, yes two members are no longer with us but it doesn't mean they should disband or SM Entertainment shouldn't give up on them. It is almost simliar to what happen to TVXQ (yes a member didn't pass away) but the group still contiune on to be a duo and have been a great sucess over their career. ACES can do the same and be a duo and suceed in their career as music artists.Or if SM Entertainment wanted to, is to add two more members to the group to make it four again. SM Entertainment has never added new members before when old ones left but there is something new to try everyday. Fans will be angry by these actions but if its get ACES to stardom then it should be done. ACES does not have to disband because that would cut off two girls dream after only debuting six months ago. If ACES adds two new members then they would suceed in the kpop world and be a sucessful group once again!"

"From the road ACES is taking its not good for their future. Already one member passed away and another left, leaving only two members of the group. And it would not be a good idea to add new members, as one its not SM Entertainment style and two it would upset the already fans who are asking about updates from SM Entertainment. Yes TVXQ has been sucessfull after their breakup but it was only by chance and the contiues work thst SM Entertainment put into them. Knowing SM Entertainment they might give up on ACES since they are a girl group, just like how they ignore f(x). It would be better if the remaining members (Joo & Jiwon) to either find another company to take both of them in, that would mean leaving SM Entertainment. Or both of them leave should leave SM Entertainment and go to what they were orignally (Joo being a backup dancer and Jiwon a actress) or become solo artists. It wasn't ACES fault that they are split but the road for them ends here."
