There was tragic news eariler this month about ACES maknae Makayla, but now SM Entertainment updates citizens on her health and recent surgery.

May people have been worried since SM Entertainment girl group that debuted in May, ACES went into a recent hiatus after member Makayla flew back to China to undergo rennervation surgery, after finding out she had vocal cord paralysis.

Also to add to that, people were worried since SM Entertainment announced that another girl group would debut this year in August. Recently SM Entertainment announced of Red Velvet, who will debut sometime in August, and is also a four member girl group. Many netizens and citizens have been spearking that Red Velvet would replace ACES and ACES would disband. But SM Entertainment themselves announced that Red Velvet would not replace ACES. Now SM Entertainment has updated us on Makayla's health and what has been going on;

"This is SM Entertainment to update everyone on ACES's, Makayla health and recent surgery she recently underwent. Makayla has been doing well these past weeks and is resting well in China. She has also been going to therapy to get her voice back fully. But for now things have been going smooth for Makayla, and she wishes fans not to worry to much as she will try to come back as soon as possible. For now Makayla will enjoy a normal life back in China and will attend a university in September."

It seems ACES maknae is healing just fine and will continue to heal until she returns to ACES in six months at the least. For now SM Entertainment said that the other members will do their own individual schedules until Makayla can come back in full health.
