After a week, I was finally discharged out of the hospital. Within that week, Minseok only visited me twice while Luhan was always there everyday in the hospital. He'd only go home if Kyungri's there to take his place to watch over me. At Minseok's last visit, I saw him talking with Luhan though as I was just waking up that moment. I didn't know what they were talking about but I had a feeling that Luhan asked him not to visit me again, or something like that.

Or maybe it was just me.

I was discharge alright, but they didn't allow me to come to work yet. They'd given me another three days for an extension to rest. It was an exaggeration, really. But I have no choice but to go with it.

This morning, I was surprised to see Minseok's message on the phone. I actually didn't expect that since he never showed himself in the hospital. He asked me if how I was though, in his message, but the most surprising part was that Hyemi's mom actually wanted to see me. I have no idea why would she though. And I don't have any idea what else did Minseok told her.

Despite the wonders, curiosity got the best of me. I found myself dressing up to meet her. I arrived ten minutes earlier on the agreed time. I spend the whole time sipping a cup of tea while I wait for her. Moments later, she arrived. I squirmed in my seat when she found me and walked towards me. The last thing I needed right now was a slap and cat-fight with a much older woman that could pass as my mother.

"Haekyung ssi~" She smiled and bowed. I stood up and did the same.

"Please have a seat, Mrs Hwang." I smiled. "Would you like to order first or..."

"I'm...I'm really sorry for everything." She started which had me surprised. Why was she apologizing to me? In her eyes, I can see tears in it. "I blamed you for Hyemi's death. I blamed you, when in fact it was...it was Eun Mi who killed my daughter." Mrs Hwang started to cry and my heart ached for her.

"Mrs Hwang...."

She sniffed and wiped her tears. Even though she was trying so hard to control her tears, I know she just couldn't simply stop it. "And I also apologize for what Eun Mi did. Minseok told me everything. On her behalf, I'm really sorry Haekyung ssi. I hope you'll forgive me and Eun Mi for everything she did to you." She sniffed again. "Even though, Eun Mi's really not my own but she's still my daughter. I hope you can still find it in your heart to forgive us."

"Not to worry, Mrs Hwang." I said with a genuine smile. "I don't want to feel any hatred or detest towards her. And also to you, ma'am even though we didn't get along well. It was nothing to me. I'm willing to forget everything. And...I know how it feels when you lose someone so dear to you."

She smiled, her eyes still puffy red. "Thank you, Haekyung ssi."

I smiled back and was silent for a moment. Then I broke the silence afterwards. "Condolences, Mrs Hwang. I know you'll get through this." I told her. She nodded again but I saw her face broke into a sob. Despite everything, my heart ached for her. I understand what she's going through. It was so hard to be in her position. Her adopted daughter killed her own daughter. She was torn. I know she wanted to hate Eun Mi but she just can't because she loved Eun Mi. Despite everything, I pray for her strength.
