Reminiscence
HaeSeok was hugging his father tightly. It was like he doesn't want to let him go. My eyes swelled up with tears as I watched them. HaeSeok's dream had finally came true. I've never seen him so happy until now...until this day he finally met his biological father. I'd never thought this would come. I always thought there's no chance for HaeSeok to meet his father. But I was wrong. Because here, right now, HaeSeok was hugging his father like there was no tomorrow.
After finally telling him last night, I thought he'd be in rage. But he didn't. Instead I caught of happy tears in his eyes. "When I first saw him, I really thought he's my papa because we really did look alike." That was HaeSeok's words last night. "Sometimes I even call him 'papa' accidentally and my playmates would laugh at me. But Papa Minseok didn't bother about it at all. He said that I can call him 'papa' anytime I want but I'm just too embarrass. I don't want to be laughed at anymore." I teared up again remembering what he told me.
"Papa," HaeSeok said as he finally let go. There was a sunshine happiness on Minseok's face that made my heart melted.
"Yes, my son..." Minseok ruffled his hair adorably. "Papa is here now, okay? I won't ever leave you, HaeSeok-ah." He said as he hugged him again. Minseok looked up to me and smiled. I smiled back. I must refrain myself, I know. Minseok's here for HaeSeok, for our son, and not for me. Even though his wife already died, I know he still loved her. He won't just simply open his heart for me.
I looked away as I blinked my tears back. It hurts but I've got to move on. There's no chance for me and Minseok. I'm aware of that fact.
"Mama! Papa and I will—are you crying, mama?" HaeSeok asked me as he was looking up at me. I can feel Minseok's eyes on me, too.
"No. Mama isn't crying HaeSeok-ah. I'm just happy," I told him while wiping the corner of my eyes. He smiled widely back at me. In return, I ruffled his already unruly hair. "Now what are you saying?"
"Papa Minseok and I will be going to Lotte World. Come with us, Mama? Pretty please?" He looked at me with his adorable, pleading eyes. I moved my eyes to Minseok who was waiting for my reply.
I smiled as I softly scratched HaeSeok's chin. "It would be better if it's just you and Papa so you will both have time together." I said. HaeSeok looked at his father who only smiled back at him. "You should go alone with your father so you could spend some time together. Don't worry about me, HaeSeok-ah. I'll be fine."
"Are you sure,
