Lay could hear his heart shattering into piece when he heard Soomi ask him such question. She doesn't remember and she probably never will, Lay thought to himself. Everyone around them had a disappointed look on their faces and from there, Lay knew that all they were doing was try to help Soomi remember him. He didn't blame anyone at this point. They were just harmlessly helping.

"Isn't it? He's the guy who saved me?", Soomi asked and the more she proved that she doesn't remember, the worst the heartache stabbed into Lay's heart. Lay lowered his head as he didn't know what to do at this moment. He just wanted to leave and disappear as soon as he can because watching her and knowing she was clueless of who he is was the only thing that could actually break him into piece; making him a complete no one. A soulless person. A person with no motivation, no goal, no expectations and no hope. A person who is just completely... empty.

"Sehun is here!", Baekhyun suddenly shouted out of panic when he saw Sehun texting their group chat saying that he was nearby which made everyone turn their heads. Most of them in shock while Soomi and Lay had no reason to be shocked until Lay heard the next thing that came out of Soomi's mouth. "I never really got to thank you properly and I would like to do so but my best friend has to be here. Please wait for me till I get back with him", Soomi said which made everyone panic even more when they all knew Sehun wasn't suppose to know that they got Lay and Soomi to meet.

Chanyeol immediately shouted, "Soomi no!", but it was too late as Soomi had ran off. Out of the house and into the streets to look for Sehun. She needed to say thank you and she wanted Sehun to be there to do it with her as she knew how much her life being saved meant to Sehun as well. She knew how much he went through because of Lay who saved her. She was excited. She had to admit that, she was excited to actually come across Lay as he had been a kind soul to save her and to actually visit her ever so often and he would bring her flowers each time and it was her favorite flowers.

The minute she was out of the door, Lay looked at Chanyeol and he understood. Sehun was unaware about this occasion and he wasn't about to let his friends get in trouble for his sake; just because they wanted Lay to have another chance to make things right. Probably the last chance he'll ever get. He was going to take the down fall for them willingly. All they ever did was try to help him by... breaking his promise for him. He understood that immediately which got him to run after Soomi to stop her. "Soomi wait!", he shouted which made everyone even more shocked than they already were seeing Lay running after Soomi and knowing they were both headed straight towards Sehun; making all of them run out to stop Lay.

As Soomi ran and searched for Sehun on the path he usually takes to get to Chanyeol's house, she found him standing across the street with the pedestrian light shining bright red. "Sehun-ah!", Soomi shouted which immediately caught Sehun's attention. Sehun waved his arm, "Wait! I'll be right there!", he shouted back but before he could continue speaking, he was cut off by Soomi who shouted back at him. "Hurry up! The guy who saved me is here! I just met him!", she shouted and it made Sehun freeze immediately. What? Who is here? That was impossible but the minute he thought of how impossible it was, he saw Lay himself running to catch up to Soomi with his own eyes which stunned him completely.

Sehun was shocked and he was stuck. He wasn't able to move. What was happening? How did the two meet? Why was Lay going after her? Wasn't he suppose to keep his promise? Sehun couldn't do anything as he was stuck in the moment until he saw Soomi taking a step onto the road and she was literally running towards him after looking frustrated that Sehun wasn't responding to her anymore. He didn't even hear a single word she said after he saw Lay running from behind her. It was like he couldn't hear anything and everything had went silent. "Soomi stop!", Lay shouted as he ran and just as he did, he stopped when he saw a pair of lights on the road.

His mind froze. It was a deja vu. He was seeing what had happened before, happening again in front of his eyes in a different time and a different place. The first thing that came to his mind was that he wasn't willing to lose Soomi again. He wasn't willing to go through it all again knowing the girl he is in love with will be involved for the second time and this time who knows what would the outcome be. He was not about to lose her when he could do something about it. To him, this was a life and death situation. If something were to happen to Soomi again, even if he isn't dead, he would be as a person. He needed to make sure nothing would happen but it wasn't for him. It was for her and for the people who love her. To the people who are important to her.

Yes, he let the girl he loved leave once. He lost himself for that and all he wanted was for her to come back into his arms but he was wrong. He found happiness when he met Soomi. Soomi healed him with her gentle heart. Soomi made him forget, made him want to start over, made him fall in love much deeper than he ever could. She carved a part of her in his heart and he can't seem to forget her; can't seem to let her go. She broke him a million times worst than Jisoo ever did but she made him happy a million times more than he ever was with Jisoo. It was nothing compare and he knows that way too well now. He knows what love is. This was love and he wouldn't have in any other way. In fact, he wasn't going to make the same mistake. He wasn't going to let the girl leave this time. Not Soomi. Never. This time he's going to man up and fight until it was really over. He's going to make her stay knowing she would still feel the same the moment she remembers him again and he was sure that she could with time.

Lay picked up his pace and started running faster while the boys who chased after him couldn't help but notice the situation that was happening in front of their eyes. Was it all going to happen again? They stopped running and saw the danger approaching in front of them. They were left speechless with their feet stuck onto the ground as they saw Soomi running onto the road but then she stopped running immediately the minute she noticed two pair of lights heading her way.

Fast approaching her and the minute she saw the two pair of white bright light, she felt like the light was over shining and it was blinding her immediately with a flashes of visions of herself running across the street seeing the exact same thing that she was seeing during that very moment; as if she had gone through this before. She was scared. She was stuck staring at it like she was traumatized. In fact, she was after that tragic incident. She couldn't do anything to move. She was frozen in place even if she wanted to. It was like her nerves were out of her control. Somehow, she felt like this feeling was familiar. She felt her heart sank and she knew she felt this before; making her instantly terrified, shocked and extremely sad with tears immediately taking over her eyes.

She felt the pain she once felt and had forgotten everything about but she didn't know why as she saw flashe

To be honest, at first I feel like the story is kind of boring but the more I read it, the more I understand about the whole situations. This story gives me some moral advices too somehow. Chapter 33: Author-nim well written! What a intricately written story, the varying levels of emotions was well displayed in all the characters and there was a lot of maturity from Lay. The strength and variety in the words and tones used throughout the whole story was probably the strongest point about your story :D
