After two more hours of water fun, everyone decided to call it a day.

Danji stepped out of the water, and Luhan immediately enveloped the towel around her wet body.

“Danji, you can use the shower first.” Luhan said.

She shook her head, “I’ll take a shower at my house. I didn’t even bring a change of clothes.”

“I can go get it for you.” He offered.

“No, it’s okay. My house is nearby, too.” Danji said.

Luhan rubbed her arms, “I’ll take you home.”

“Tao can take me home. He’s already in his wolf form.” She pointed out.

“Okay,” Luhan agreed, “Tao! Come here!” The gray wolf trotted over with a questioning look.

“Take Danji home and bring her back after she’s done showering.” Luhan ordered. Tao bobbed his head up and down. Luhan narrowed his eyes, “And DON’T try anything funny.” Tao showed off his white teeth. Luhan rolled his eyes. He lifted Danji onto Tao’s back. “See you soon, gongzhu.” Luhan kissed her.

Danji waved at the others and left with Tao. He sped through the forest so fast that her eyes started to water. He came to a halt, and she gladly got off of him. Danji sneezed, and Tao whined sadly as he nudged her. “I’m fine.” She patted his head and went into her home.

Tao paced around in front of her cabin for a bit. Then he found a good space to lie down and curled up into a ball. Tao had just closed his eyes when he felt a presence nearby. Wide alert, he stood up and barred his teeth. A low growl emitted from his throat. His keen eyes scanned the trees for any signs of danger.

No one seemed to be there though.

Tao whined and straightened up. His ears perked up, but he could not hear anything.

*I must have made a mistake. No one is out there.* Tao sat back down and curled up for a short nap.

Danji took a quick shower and changed into fresh, dry clothes. She clipped her hair halfway with a colorful ribbon and applied lip gloss over her lips before speeding out of her house. “I’m done!” Danji announced.

Tao got up and walked over to her. She patted his snout, “Good boy.” He her arm and nudged her body.

“Down.” Danji pointed. Tao willingly lay on his belly.

She climbed on and gripped onto his fur. He got up and looked back.

“You can go.” Danji nodded. Tao traipsed through the forest. She looked up at the clear sky and smiled. *It’s another gorgeous day. The weather is so nice. I hope summer never ends. I wouldn’t mind hanging out with the wolves every day like this.* They arrived at Exo-M’s cabin.

“Thanks, Tao.” Danji patted his ear before heading inside.

Kris, Chen, and Luhan had already showered. Luhan wrapped his arm around her and kissed her hair, “You smell nice.”

“So do you.” Danji fixed his wet hair that was sticking up all over the place.

“Did Tao behave?” Luhan raised an eyebrow skeptically.

Danji chuckled, “Yes, he was on his best behavior.”

“She’s completely right.” Tao said from behind. She looked around, screamed, and covered her red face.

Tao walked past, stark , without a hint of shame on his face.

Luhan glowered at him as he covered Danji’s head and pulled her into his chest. “Will you not do that?! We all agreed not to surprise her like that!”

“Don’t be jealous just cause my pee wee may be bigger than yours.” Tao made a face and went into the empty bathroom. Luhan rolled his eyes and released Danji.

“Is he gone?” She whimpered. “Yes, your eyes are safe.” He said.

Danji sighed in relief and dropped her hands. “I’ll be back. I’m going to put on a sweater.” Luhan left.

Danji went into the kitchen and found Kris peering into the fridge.

“Clueless about dinner again?” She giggled. He straightened up and ran his fingers through his wet hair, “I have no clue what we’re going to eat.”

Lay walked in, “How about barbeque?”

Kris opened the freezer, “I don’t think this is enough to feed all of us.”

Danji jumped to look over his shoulder. “That’s a lot of meat though!”

Kris looked back at her, “You obviously haven’t considered the eating machine Tao. This is probably how much he’ll eat tonight.”

Danji blinked in shock. *All of that?!*

“We can just go get more at the mart.” Lay shrugged.

“Fine.” Kris shut the freezer.

“What’s going on?” Luhan came into the kitchen. Lay told him about the dinner plans.

Kris put on his jacket. “I’ll go with you to buy it.” Luhan offered. He kissed her forehead before leaving with Kris to buy the meat.

Lay and Danji looked at each other. He beamed, “Want to learn more Chinese?” She smiled back, “Sure.”

They went into his room. His room had a very comforting, warm aura. It was bright with all the curtains pulled back to welcome the rays of sunshine. Lay pulled out the textbook and workbooks from his bookshelf. They sat at his desk and started to study Chinese. Lay was a patient but thorough teacher. He corrected her pronunciation and made sure she accentuated the right letters.

“Okay, let’s try this.” Lay closed the book.

“Ni hao.” He started.

“Ni hao.” She replied confidently.

“Ni hao ma? (How are you?)”

“Wo hen hao. Xie xie. Ni ne? (I am fine. And you?)”

“Wo hen hao. You shen me xi qi de? (I am fine. What's new?) 

Danji paused and replied, unsure, “Mei…you? (Nothing much.)”

Lay nodded approvingly, “You’re improving fast. You learn Chinese really fast. You’re smart.”

Danji beamed at the compliment, “Thank you. You’re a good teacher.”

Lay laughed and modest
