"What took you so long?" Kai asked, frowning

"We had to stop by the site." You said, rolling your eyes

"We're sorry." Your father said, sighing as he sat down

"No, it's fine. Kai just got here as well." Mr. Kim said, smiling at you

"I thought we took long." You said, kicking Kai under the table

"You did. He's only saying that to make you feel better." Kai said, kicking you back

"Then we should just leave." You said, kicking him back

"Maybe you should." Kai said, kicking you back

"Ji Hyun!"

"Jongin!"

"Appa! He keeps hitting me!" You complained, sticking out your tongue at Kai

"Look who's talking!" Kai snapped, rolling his eyes

"Yah!" You yelled, glaring at Kai

"Can we just have some peace and quiet?" Mr. Kim asked, sighing

"Fine." Kai said, looking away

"Fine." You said, crossing your arms

"How was business?" Mr. Kim said, looking at your father

"Same as usual." He said, nodding his head

"That's good. I'm assuming Ji Hyun will be leaving soon." Mr. Kim said, looking at you

"No, I'm staying here." You said, shaking your head

"Why? I thought your father already explained the situation." Mr. Kim said, worried

"I know but I'm not leaving. I'd rather stay here." You said, smiling

"Then you're just being stupid." Kai said, glaring at you

"No, I'm being selfless." You said, chuckling

"No, that's being stupid." Kai snapped, standing up

"Oppa, calm down." You said, looking at Kai

"Whatever. Do whatever the hell you want." Kai said, walking out the restaurant

You stood up and followed after Kai, holding onto your chest as you ran. You stopped once you saw him sitting down on a bench in a nearby park,  holding his head in his hands.

"Why do you have to be so rude?" You asked, sitting down next to him

"Why do you have to be so stupid?" Kai asked, looking at you

You shook your head and closed your eyes, leaning onto Kai's shoulder. He closed his eyes and rested his head on top of yours, grabbing your hand as he played with your fingers. Kai pulled something out of his pocket and slid it onto your finger, smiling softly.

"It fits." Kai whispered, looking at you

"Are you that happy?" You asked, opening your eyes

You stared down at the ring on your left finger, the diamond sparkling. You looked up at Kai and kissed him on the cheek, chuckling as he wrapped his arm around you.

"How long before the big day?" Kai asked, looking at you

"About 3 months." You said, nodding your head

"Really? So long?" Kai asked, pouting

"Yeah, why? You want to get married already?" You asked, wide eyed

"Why not? We've spent out entire lives with each other." Kai said, smiling

"That's what's frustrating." You said, shaking your head

"Why? You want to see other people!?" Kai asked, wide eyed

"No, I'm just saying that you're not so mysterious anymore." You said, laughing

"Mysterious? You like the bad boys?" Kai asked, shaking his head

Before you could respond, you began to cough, holding onto your chest. Kai stood up and leaned in front of you, breathing alongside you, making sure you were looking at him. You reached into your pockets and grabbed the bottle, swallowing several pills.

"Op-opp-oppa." You gasped, grabbing onto Kai's arm

"I'm here. Look at me." Kai said, wiping away your tears

"It hurts. Oppa." You gasped, coughing

You fell onto the floor and your body rocked as you began to cough up blood. Kai grabbed you and held onto you, rocking you back and forth as you struggled to catch your breath.

"It's okay. I'm here with you. I'll stay by your side." Kai murmured, kissing you on the head

"Do you need some help?" Someone called out

*Beep*

*Beep*

*Beep*

"Ji Hyun? Are you awake?"

You opened your eyes and stared at the ceiling in front of you, the smell of chlorine reaching you. You sat up and turned around, staring at Kai and a stranger next to him. You bowed before you began to cough, the nasal tube making it harder for you to breathe.

"Are you okay?" The stranger asked, staring at you

"Yes, thank you." You said, bowing again

"That's good. I was worried there for a bit." He said, smiling

"Oppa, what happened?" You asked, looking at Kai

"You fainted after coughing up blood. The doctor said it's getting worse." Kai said, looking away

"Really? That's strange." You said, shaking your head

"Are you ill?" The stranger asked, a worried expression on his face

You turned to look at him, noticing his pale face and chiseled jawline. His eyes a dark brown, almost black. He had no color on his face, everything was pale, making his dark jet black hair more prominent. You stared at his lips, plump and a pale pink.

"Who are you?" You asked, confused

"Ah, I'm sorry. I forgot to introduce myself. I helped Mr. Jongin-ssi with getting you medical attention." He said, bowing

"Hello, I'm Song Ji Hyun." You said, bowing as well

"I'm Suho." He said, smiling

"Suho? That's a strange name." You said, chuckling

"Yes, I've heard that a lot." Suho answered, nodding his head

"Thank you again for helping me." You said, smiling

"No, it's fine." Suho replied, shaking his head

"Yes, I also forgot to thank you." Kai said, bowing

"It's fine. I should get going now." Suho said, bowing

"Why don't you stay? I should treat you to something for helping me." You said, wide eyed

"No, I have someone else to meet. Someone important." Suho said, bowing as he walked out of the room

Suho headed outside the hospital, his hands clenched tightly as he closed his eyes. Hospitals was something he detested, a loophole to his timekeeping. Suho hated the thought of people fighting against time, against their fates.

But that was what made his job much more interesting.

He headed down the road, his hands fluttering as he heard the noise made by his watch, never leaving his room without something to remind him of what he was.

Tick. Tock.

Tick. Tock.

Tick. Tock.

"She doesn't have much time to live. Why is she still at yellow?" Suho murmured, shaking his head

Suho made his way down to a shady part of the city, noticing smaller apartments and abandoned buildings. He glanced down at the slip of paper in his hands, shaking his head in frustration.

He finally made his way down the correct street when he noticed a body lying beside a building, loud coughs echoing through the empty streets. Suho ran towards the body and smiled, holding out his hand.

"Are you okay?" Suho asked, faking a worried expression

"Please.......help......." The boy coughed, holding onto his chest

"Of course. What's your name?" Suho asked, already knowing

"Baekhyun. Byun Baekhyun."
