Death

The Time Keeper

Suho stared absentmindedly at the panel in front of him, the switches gleaming under the light. One by one, Suho began to turn off several switches, his face blank and emotionless.

He watched as the switches that glowed a bright green dulled into a red color. Suho looked down at the list, scratching out several names as he stared at the panel.

"408 died, 390 are born." Suho whispered, sighing

Suho walked back to the panel and stared at it, closing his eyes as he was soothed by the ticking of the large clock. He opened his eyes and flicked off some more switches, scratching more names off.

Suho was the time keeper.

Death.

The creature who would carry away souls, their aura forever vanishing into thin air.

He was the one who decided when people would die. Suho controlled the fate of others.

For thousands of years, Suho kept his distance from humans. Emotions to him were pointless, something that was seen as childish. It was against all rules to help humans, to make any exceptions as to when they died.

Everything was set in stone.

Everyday was a burden to him, the fact that he was responsible for killing people. He was considered cruel yet no human seemed to realize that he also brought happiness and joy.

He was responsible for life as well as death.

After years of the same thing, Suho came up with a game to see who would die first. There wasn't much of a choice really.

Sometimes, Suho would visit the world, his curiosity getting the best of him. He would see disease and war that devestated the planet but there was happiness as well.

Suho kept his distance, knowing that there was nothing he could do to stop time.

It keeps going and going.

For every life lost, another is reborn.

For every life born, there is one that is lost.

Suho kept watching, his eyes cast over the large panels, lives that were in his hands. Lives that he could easily end with the press of a button. Lives that shouldn't matter to him.

The survivors, the ones who got away from him.

They were rare, almost impossible.

Until one finally did.

A girl.

Two boys.

A story that captured his attention. A story that made him break the golden rule.

A story that made him finally feel.

A life he couldn't bear to end.

Sorry guys for not updating sooner. I'm not feeling well and I'd rather wait until I get better than to update a crappy chapter. The end is near :(
