don't flirt

There he goes again. Jung Daehyun is talking to a new costumer in the cafe, and Eun Mi couldn't stand watching him being so friendly with her. Just because they're not officially together, doesn't mean he can flirt with anyone! They've known each other for years, and Eun Mi is sure that they have intimate feelings for each other. There were many clues, but neither of them wanted to admit it. As Eun Mi sat in the corner of the cafe, watching the two talking and laughing, she couldn't help but squeeze the ceramic cup in her grasp. 'That freaking Jung Daehyun just doesn't know his limits! How many other girls will he flirt with today? This is like the twentieth one!'

"Miss, would you like some more coffee?" A voice broke out of her thoughts. Her grip on the cup loosened. She blinked a couple of times at the waiter before shaling her head frantically. Was he watching her this whole time? She blushed at the thought. "Oh. N-No, I-I'm fine."
The waiter smiled and bowed before walking away. She sighed and continued doing her homework. Just one more year and she would be out of high school and into college just like Daehyun. She didn't know how long she was in the cafe, but because she was a close friend to Daehyun and the rest of the workers, they let her stay after hours while they clean up. As Daehyun was sweeping the floor near her area, he couldn't help but watch her as she concentrated on this one question.

"Physics, huh?" He asked while looking over her work.

"Yupp," Eun Mi replied without looking up from her problem. This was probably her worse subject so far.

"Ah." He sat in front of her. "Sorry, I can't help because my brain wouldn't work properly during physics."
She sighed. Well, now she knows who not to ask for help.

"Ah!" She screamed and bang her head on the table."My brain is fried. I don't think I can go any longer."

Daehyun patted her head. "You'll be fine. You can do it! If I was able to pass Physics, so can you!" He made the hwaiting sign. Eun Mi couldn't help but blush and smile at his actions. Truly, this bundle of fun is too good to be true. Why can't he be ugly with a nice personality? But no, he's handsome, passionate, caring, and everything a girl wants in a guy. If only he wasn't just her friend. Once again, Daehyun patted her head.

"I'll walk you home, okay? So wait for me." He got up and continued cleaning up the place. Once he was done, Eunmi packed up and the two left. They walked down the streets talking about school and subjects they didn't enjoy at the moment. The two stopped when the lights flashed at the corner. Cars drove by and soon enough a tall slim girl dressed in a beautiful dress had walked up beside Daehyun also waiting for the lights. Eunmi glanced as Daehyun's eyes wander off to the side with the pretty girl.

"Going to a party?" Daehyun asked. The girl smiled and nodded in return. Eunmi rolled her eyes and tried her best to pretend she wasn't paying any attention to Daehyun and his 'friendly' talks. The lights finally flashed a walking figure as Eunmi sped off leaving Daehyun behind.

"I'll walk you home, okay?" Eunmi mumbled his words. "More like let me just leave you and flirt with this beautiful girl."

She turned and saw that Daehyun was still talking with the girl. She scoffed and headed home.

"He doesn't even realize i'm gone," she mumbled and tightened her grip on her books. "Stupid Daehyun. I hope you get beat up when you mess when someone else's girl!"

She was close to her house when her name was called. It was just Daehyun and she didn't bother turning around. She continued walking towards her house acting like she didn't hear him. Daehyun fasten his pace and finally reached the spot beside Eunmi.

"Why didn' you wait for me?" he asked. "I said i was going to walk you home?"

"Oh i was waiting of course," Eunmi turned and sweetly smiled at him. Daehyun tilted his head, "Are you mad at me?"

"Mad?" Eunmi let out a laugh. "Psh, as if."

Daehyun looked at her and softly laugh. "Ok then, well since your house is already right here i'll be going now."

Eunmi glared at him through her mind and then thought of something.

"Do you have Youngjae's number?" Eunmi asked. Daehyun tilted his head, "Yeah...but why?"

"Since you can't help me with my physics homework, i can ask Youngjae," Eunmi brightly smiled. Daehyun's face twitched a bit. Eunmi was dying in the inside. "Youngjae oppa is smart~"

"You don't need Youngjae," Daehyun said. "I'll help you."

"What happened to 'I can't help because my brain wouldn't work properly during physics'?" she imitated his voice from earlier. Daehyun smiled and slung and arm around her shoulder, "We both can suffer together."

Eunmi felt her cheeks heat up. She pushed his arm away and glared at him.

"I prefer suffering alone," Eunmi said and headed into her house. Daehyun followed behind her.

"Eunmi~" he sang. She rolled her eyes though in the inside she was melting at his voice. She turned and looked at him. He was suddenly so close to her. Their faces were only a couple inches apart. Her heart was beating faster and her cheeks heated up.

"W-what?" she asked. Daehyun smiled moved closer to her.

"There's something I've been always wanting to tell you," he said moving much closer to her now. She took a step back each time and eventually tripped falling backwards. Daehyun held her waist in time before she hit the cold floor. Eunmi was now trying to hide her red face.

"W-what is it?" she couldn't even pronounce her words right. Daehyun moved his face closer to her face and near her ear.

"I. Like. You." he whispered into her ear and softly laughed. Eunmi pushed him off and straightened herself. She didn't take his statement seriously since this boy was always flirting.

"I'm serious Eunmi," Daehyun's face was now serious. Eunmi didn't know what to say she was lost for words. *Is he faking it? Why does he look so serious...?*

"I have homework to finish," she ignored him. "You need to go home."

Daehyun shook his head. He stood there and looked at her in the eyes. Eunmi avoided his eye contact as much as she can. Daehyun then grabbed her hand and held it.

"I really really like you," he smiled. Eunmi felt her heart racing fast pounding inside of her.

"Will you be my girlfriend?" he asked. Time seem to have froze after hearing that statement for Eunmi. She didn't move she didn't even hear Daehyun asking for her reply. Without even realizing it a pair of warm lips were placed on hers. She came back to earth and widened her eyes, but eventually she returned the kiss. She had liked Daehyun and maybe it was time to show him her feelings. The finally pulled apart to take some breaths.

"I would love to be your girlfriend," Eunmi smiled. "But under one condition."

Daehyun looked at her and nodded for her to continue.

"Please don't flirt..."
