HyukJae woke feeling well rested, but the image from last night was still fresh in his head. He looked over to where he had seen the figure but no one was there, it was just an empty bed, perfectly spread.

He slowly got out of bed looking for something to wear for his first official day of school.

“A new beginning” he said to himself.

On the inside of their closet door, there is a long mirror in place that hung. “Aish i don’t know what to wear” Hyuk said as he looked over his clothes.

Two soft knocks at the door and it began to open, drawing HyukJae’s attention towards it.

“Hey” SungMin entered cheerful just like when they first met.

“Nice of you to wait” Hyuk replied in a joking manor.

“Ya” SungMin shot back with a cute but angry face.

“I’m just joking” Hyuk conceited to SungMin’s adorable face.

“I know” he replied sounding ever so chipper. “I was told to give you this” SungMin said as he held his hand out with a school logo on the left side of the suit carrier.

“Tell me that isn’t what i think it is” Hyuk said looking horrified at the uniform before him.

“Yes it is” The platinum blond replied and started to make his way toward his new found friend.

“It’s not that bad” he said trying to encourage Hyuk.

“I thought this place just might be great after all, but that” Hyuk paused as he pointed at the uniform in disgust. “It just brought me back to reality, this is hell”

“Ya!” SungMin snapped. “This place is amazing, just give it time. Besides i picked out a great uniform for you” He finished off saying.

“You...?” Hyuk asked as he focused his attention to SungMin’s face. “Why did you pick out my uniform” Hyuk asked as he became confused.

“You should be thanking me. They were about to give you an orange uniform” SungMin said defending himself, while placing the uniform to HyukJae’s chest.  “Now get dressed and quit complaining. You will not make me late today” the platinum blond said as he plopped down on Hyuk’s bed.

“Are you not going to leave?” Hyuk asked as he saw Ming getting extremely comfortable on his bed.

“No” SungMin replied. “Why do you have something to hide?” he teased with a bit of curiosity.

“Fine” Hyuk replied as he notices that Ming wasn’t going anywhere, as he pulled his knees to his chest looking at HyukJae. “Whatever”

“Has anyone ever told you that you got an amazing milky skin?” SungMin said as he eye HyukJae as he removed his shirt.

“No, just that i have nice skin” Hyuk replied. “Stop staring at me” He continued to say as he looked over his shoulder towards SungMin.

Hyuk turned back towards the closet, where the rest of his uniform rested on the hook.  He put on the plain white undershirt, and then picked up his black with silver ts button up jacket and put that on.

As he is buttoning up the jacket, the door begins to open, bringing a draft of air in catching both the blonde’s attention.

The brunette walked through the open door with all eyes on him. He was already dressed in his school attire, the only thing that was missing was his jacket.

He walked over to the closet without saying a word and pulled his blazer style jacket out. His entire wardrobe is black, even the button up undershirt.

SungMin’s eyes shifted to HyukJae as the transfer student was fixated on his roommate.

“It’s not polite you know” SungMin said as he studied the boy lost in a daze, his voice only drawing Hyuk out of his daze a couple seconds later.

“How far is our class from the dorms?” Hyuk asked, trying to distract himself from staring at the beautiful brunette that just entered the room.

“It’s a good ten minutes walk, considering our first class is on the third floor and to the far east side of the building” SungMin replied.

“Wow, isn’t there a way to get there in less time” Hyuk complained.

“Yes there is, but not everyone can go that way” SungMin replied nonchalantly.

“Hi, my name is Lee DongHae, sorry to interrupt” the brunette said as he began to cross the room. HyukJae turned around to look at DongHae, finally he knows his roommates name.

“I know i should’ve said hi sooner, but i was a bit busy over the weekend.” DongHae continued to say as he notice Hyuk’s questioning look.

“Your name is...?” he asked waiting for HyukJae to take his hand. He couldn’t help but smirk, the hesitation within the strawberry blonde’s eyes intrigued him.

“My name is Lee Hyuk Jae”

“Nice to meet you HyukJae” DongHae said as Hyuk finally grabbed hold of his hand. DongHae smiled brightly at his roommate.

The more Hyuk looked at him, the more he started to remember the night before. The red glint in his eye, which isn’t visible to him now, the trail of his fingers along his neck replayed in his head.

The strawberry blonde pulled away from Hae’s hand as chills ran throughout his body, as DongHae’s smile disappeared.

“Sorry” Hyuk apologized without knowing why he blurted it out.

SungMin was just sitting idly by, watching the whole awkward introduction take place.

“Glad you two finally got to meet, but we gotta go.” SungMin said as he hopped off Hyuk’s bed.

HyukJae scrambled really quickly to change into his uniform pants, as he used the closet door as a barrier for his privacy.

“Wait” Hyuk said in a panic as he picked up his extremely very light backpack. “I don’t have any books”

“Idiot, you will get them in class” SungMin replied as he impatiently leans against the doorframe of the room entrance.

Walking into the classroom started to make him nervous. Making new friends in a new environment was always hard for him

“Hey, its gonna be okay, you got me” SungMin said with a smile, as he put his arm on Hyuk’s left shoulder and pulled him in.

“Thanks” HyukJae replied with a shy smile.
 

DongHae walked in between the both of them separating them, as he made his way to his seat in the back of the room.

“YA!” SungMin called out after DongHae rudely stepped between them as if they weren’t there.

“It’s okay” Hyuk said in a small voice, trying to not make a scene on his first day.

“No, it’s not okay” SungMin said as he turned his attention to Hyuk. “If you let him start walking over you now, he will continue to do so. Besides...” He paused as he felt eyes on him.

HyukJae followed his eyes to see where he was looking, to see the five guys sitting at the back of the room staring in their direction.

“Never mind” SungMin said as he started making his way to his seat; third row beside the window.

“Hi, you must be the new student” HyukJae got stopped as the homeroom teacher took notice of him.

“Yes i am. Hi my name is Lee HyukJae” he replied as he greeted the teacher.

“Nice to meet you” the teacher replied and then continued to say.  “Do you mind introducing yourself to the class?”

Hyuk couldn’t help but peer to the back of the room, only to see DongHae and the others looking at him.

“Ah no need to worry, just tell them your name and one thing you like to do” the teacher said as he notices Hyuk’s uneasiness.

“Ya, listen up” the teacher called getting his class attention.  “The floor is all yours” he said as he gestures for HyukJae to step up and introduce himself.

Although he was nervous, more than usual, he mustered up some strength as he looked out at the faces of his new classmates with confidence.

“Hi, my name is Lee HyukJae. I’ve recently transferred from Seoul High School, i like to play soccer and i am looking forward to my time here.”

“Well done” The teacher said as Hyuk stopped talking. The class gave a round of applause in response. “You can take a seat in the back over there. The teacher gestured to the seat by the window.

The day was up and down for HyukJae, people asking him questions about how he ended up at this school. Some of their questions seemed too personal or too out there, it made him uncomfortable. He was grateful when lunch time rolled around, because he was back with SungMin who didn’t have the same Math class as him.

“How’s the day going” SungMin asked as they walked the line to get their lunch.

“Long” HyukJae said as he added some kimchi to his plate.

“Hopefully it won’t feel long after lunch” SungMin said with a nudge of his arm trying to lighten Hyuk’s mood.

Both of their plates had sufficient amount of food on their plates, and they started to make their way to find a spot to eat.

Just as they were about to sit down, a couple familiar faces showed up in front of them.  SungMin barely paid any attention to them and just sat down like they weren’t even there. HyukJae on the other hand, froze in his spot. A moment ago they weren’t there, and all of a sudden they were right there standing in front of him.

“Sit down HyukJae, you don’t need to pay them any attention” SungMin said and then directed his attention to the four guys with an ice cold look, which clearly was a warning.

“We’d like for you to come with us, our friend would like to talk to you.” The tall brunette out of the four spoke out, looking at HyukJae.

“Me...Why me?” HyukJae fumbled with his words.

“We don’t ask questions, we just do what we are told” the brunette replied.

“Since you do what you are told, why don’t you listen to me and walk away now” SungMin said in a serious tone, as he stared at the brunette.

“You know it’s not that easy” another one said stepping up beside the brunette who was stunned by SungMin’s tone and stare.

“Would you like for me to make it easy for you, or you'd rather save yourselves the embarrassment” the platinum blonde said as he stood up, stepping in front of HyukJae, in a protective stance.

“Ming, it’s okay” HyukJae said, nervous from the tension that filled the air.

“I already told you once today, it’s not okay” SungMin said, barely giving him a look from over his shoulder.

The tension was practically suffocating HyukJae, along with the brunette who seemed to have gotten lost in his own train of thought.

After a few seconds of silent with heavy stare downs between SungMin and the four guys dressed in all black, something happened, not seen by eyes but clearly something happened that HyukJae was unaware of.  The stare down instantly stopped and without so much as parting of words, the four guys walked away.

“Sit, your food is getting cold” SungMin said as positioned Hyuk to sit where he was just sitting. HyukJae looked back to where the guys were walking but didn’t see them, he blinked twice wondering if he was that shocked that he’s not seeing right.

“Who were those guys?” Hyuk asked as looked down at his food, knowing his appetite is completely ruined.

“They are no body to concern yourself with” SungMin replied as he mixed his food around, clearly not interested in eating it.

“What do you think they wanted with me? And who is their friend?” Hyuk rattled off the question as his nerves got the better of him. He was never a situation like that, never been intimidated, that was something new and it scared him. 

“In time you will know, no need to rush into that.” SungMin said as he looked up at HyukJae from his plate.

“At least tell me their names” Hyuk pleaded.

“The one who was talking first, that is KyuHyun. JaeJoong was the one who followed up with him. The other two are Key and Kai.”

“Are they all in our classes?” Hyuk asked.

“No just KyuHyun and Key. JaeJoong is in a grade above us, but only because he’s smart, supposedly... And Kai he’s younger than us, but he’s... never mind.” SungMin stopped himself, knowing that he shouldn’t say anymore.

“So what would they want with me then, if we are not all in the same class.” HyukJae said as he thought about what KyuHyun said about their friend wanting to see him.

“Don’t think too much about it. As long as i am here they cannot touch you” SungMin said.

“Wait, should i be worried?” Hyuk spat out as SungMin’s words made him a bit on edge.

“No, you’re fine. They can’t do anything to you even if they wanted to.”

“What makes you so sure?” Hyuk asked as he studied SungMin’s face.

“If they could, they would’ve done so already. Besides there’s a lot more going on here than what meets the eyes, and clearly your eyes have not been open." SungMin finished off saying bringing that conversation to an end.
