A Life Worth Living(Tiffany's POV)
I finally understood why Taeyeon harboured so much dislike for Yoona.
My poor baby.
The closet was completely dark, apart from the slivers of light peeping through the door's slats. Taeyeon and I sat on the floor.
She sighed, "so what should we do now?"
"I dunno," I shrugged, "we could talk, get to know each other more."
"What, like twenty-one questions?" she asked.
"Yeah, I guess. You can go first."
"Okay..." She thought for a while, "You don't have to answer this if it makes you uncomfortable, but why do you have so many scars?"
I froze.
How did she know?
No one knew, apart from Sunny.
She grabbed my arm gently, and asked quietly, "does it hurt?"
And the walls that I had spent so long building came tumbling down. I felt warm liquid trickle down my cheeks. She took my face in her hands and tenderly wiped away the tears.
"It's okay, it'll be alright, I'll be here for you," she whispered, in the soft tone that always made me feel at ease and comfortable.
"Can you really promise me that?" I asked between sobs."
She pulled back a bit, only to hug me tightly as she my hair. She nestled against my neck, "No, I can't promise that."
I nearly choked.
"I can't promise you forever. I can't promise you the future, but I can promise you the present, and it shall be my gift. Because I don't know if you'll still love in the future, nor do I know that I'll still love you, but I love you now, as you love me, and that's all that matters."
Did she just.
Smiling, she patted my cheeks and held my hands.
"So, now that I've asked my question, you gotta ask one."
I sniffed.
"But I didn't even answer it," I said.
"That's okay, you can tell me when you're ready," she smiled again.
Never has anyone treated me in such a caring and understanding manner.
I cleared my throat, "So, um...why...uh...why do you love me?" I asked.
"I,"she sighed, "I love you because I love you. I can't say more than that."
"Come on Tae-Tae," I whined.
"Fine," she bit her lip.
"I...I love you because...because you are perfect, you're beautiful, you're so selfless, you're so strong. I love you because you love me.
And your . Let's not forget that," she grinned.
Oh dear.
This girl, what could I say?
"You byuntae," I laughed while slapping her thigh.
"How bout you? Why do you love me?"
Oh how do I even begin to describe it?
"I love you because you're cute!"
She raised an eyebrow, "aaaand..?"
"And...you make me happy, just by being near me."
"Really Tiffany, you flatter me," she blushed.
