Hyuna when for her check-up left Jihyun and Kai outside waiting for her.

“I see that you and Hyuna have back to how high school was.” Jihyun said

“Yeah. We back to best friend like how we in high school.” Kai looking at the door that Hyuna was inside

“I never thought that after a broken relationship, they can become friends again.” Jihyun looking at the ceiling

“Yeah. It requires some effort to make it work, wasn’t easy but nonetheless possible. When we broke up we promise one another that even we can’t be together but our friendship will still remain.” Kai turned and look at Jihyun

“Are you still thinking about Donghae hyung?” Kai observed Jihyun expression

“Well. You know that our relationship turned out bad so we never able to become what we have like before. We can never become friends like how you and Hyuna have.” Jihyun remember the memory of her and Donghae shared

“Our relationship, our love or his love just change. I don’t blame him that he doesn’t love me anymore. I don’t blame him that he and Jessica were together. But I can never forget that scene that I have hard time to cope. The scene that I wanted to forget but can’t, the scene that they kiss just right in front of me. If he have ever tell me that he don’t love me anymore, I wouldn’t have to suffer so much. I will let him go if he doesn’t love me but why must he do that right in front of me.” Jihyun tried to hold her tear back remembering the scene that she always wanted to forget.

Flashback

4minute having their comeback at Music Bank. Fans were anticipation for 4minute come back. Not only that BEAST and 4minute will have a short collaboration dance together too. They were very happy and excited. 4minute Jihyun and 4minute HyunA when to washroom after their rehearsal at Music Back. While talking happily, they witnessed something that Jihyun never wanted to find out.

Super Junior Lee Donghae and Girl Generation Jessica Jung was kissing

Jihyun was shocked of what she witnessed. Without hesitating, HyunA walk forward and slapped Donghae right on his cheek.

“You’re the worst. If you don’t love unnie just tell her. Instead of that you cheated her on her back. Out of all I never thought that you will do this to her” HyunA shouted and pulled Jihyun away leaving Donghae dumbfounded

It was lucky that they had their mask on that they couldn’t recognise them. Hyuna know that Jihyun will hold her emotion not to show to someone not wanting to worry anyone. She always put on strong image for everyone that she needs to be strong no matter what happen. Hyuna left Jihyun alone and called Kai and told him what happen. Since that day, Kai never talks to Donghae ever again as he couldn’t forgive that Donghae cheated on Jihyun at her back. The worst was it that Kai introduced Donghae to Jihyun.

Jihyun when out to the rooftop and cried out with all her energy she possessed. She felt belittled, betrayed and hurt. She knew that her relationships with Donghae have started to drift apart. Keeping her secret away from Donghae about her being 4minute member with all the schedule she had that made her double difficult to meet Donghae schedule too. But she always tries her best to call Donghae or text him whenever she can.

While Jihyun was sobbing with her head in between her knee, someone tap her shoulder. She looked up and saw BEAST leader Doojoon with worried and concern hanging on his cheek. Doojoon not know what had taken place, he just sat beside her.

“Why are you here alone crying?” Doojoon spoke but Jihyun remained silent not wanting to talk about it especially someone she doesn’t really know well.

“It's fine that you don’t want to talk to me but you should speak to someone then sitting here crying alone. Sharing your burden to someone will make you feel better. The person that gets to share your burden was a privilege that ability to share your burden too.” Doojoon continued knowing that 4minute Jihyun wouldn’t talk

“It wasn’t a burden. I just saw something that I just couldn’t accept the fact.” Jihyun lift her head up after her tears had stopped

“Well. Facts hurt but yet you need to accept and face it.” Doojoon turned his head looking at Jihyun. She having a half mask on her face but Doojoon was still mesmerise to her beauty that he saw in his eyes

“Nae. I know it just hard to accept but I know after my cry I will face everything and I will know what I should do. I just need my emotion out before me facing something that I know it will hurt.” Jihyun pulled on her strong image back again knowing what she should do

“Anyway. Thanks a lot.” Jihyun said and left Doojoon behind

After leaving Doojoon behind, Jihyun called Donghae and break up with him. Jihyun changed her phone number not allow for Donghae able to reach her. Donghae asked Kai for help but Kai rejected him.

End of Flashback

“Mianhae. I shouldn’t have brought up his name.” Kai felt hurt to see Jihyun acting this way.

“No need to apologize. I need to move on somehow. I will still need to face him and Jessica again. We in the same entertainment I can’t avoid him forever unless I quit.” Jihyun pulled her tears back replaced with a smile

“You know who he was but he never knows who you are. 4minute mystery was really something. If I never know you guys in high school I will never know who 4minute really was.” Kai changed the subject

“Well. You know well why 4minute remains mystery.” Jihyun reminded

“Yeah. I know. To protect the 5 of you. If ever the media found out the truth, this will make uproar to the whole entertainment.” Kai nodded his head

“You should quit being angry towards Donghae oppa. I have moved on so do you. The thing meant to be happen will happen.” Jihyun remember that because of what happen between her and Donghae, Kai lost a friend, a brother

“I just can’t forgive him just like that. And partially, I was at fault. It was me who has introduced Donghae hyung to you. If you two never met, you wouldn’t have suffered so much.” Kai started to blame himself again.

“No need to be sorry about what had happened. I'm doing fine now. I’m now happy with someone that I know he will cherish and always be the next to me.” Jihyun assured Kai

“Who was that guy?” Kai surprise asked. After the incident, Jihyun basically rejected all the love from other guys

“BEAST leader Doojoon.” Jihyun smiled

“He must have worked a lot to gain your trust and love.” Kai joked

“Well. I’m not sure, it just happens that he always the one that will appear when I happen to be down or need help. He was a great guy and a great leader. I feel safe when I’m with him.” Jihyun remember all the time when Doojoon would always be around her when she need help

“So, how your feeling towards Hyuna now?” Jihyun asked

“Nothing much to mention, we’re just friends.” Kai looked away from Jihyun

“Really? Are you still in love with Hyuna?” Jihyun continued prompting the inquiry

“Even I still love her I can’t do anything. She’s now someone's wife.” Kai turned to look at Jihyun with helpless

Jihyun remain silent not knowing what to say. “Was he treating her well?” Kai asked

“Nae. Not only that he also loves Hyuna a lot and vice versa.” Kai nodded his head

“Have you ever regretted to let go of Hyuna?” Jihyun asked

“When she cries yes when she happy no. But I’m relieved that Junhyung have treated her well. As long as she lives happily I think that’s all matter. Even if I happen to regret I can’t turn back time. So I’m not going to regret what had already happened but to move onward to a better future.” Jihyun smile when she heard what Kai said

“But if one day Junhyung ever hurt Hyun again I will hunt him down. Help me to extend this message to him for me.” Jihyun nodded. “If Junhyung hurt Hyuna again not only you we 4minute will hunt him down too.” Kai chuckled

AUTHOR NOTE

A sad and hurt past of Jihyun relationship with Donghae. Well. What past was past no point turning back and regret or hate something or someone additionally Jihyun already have Doojoon that will treat her right. It wasn’t easy but I do believe that time heals if you willing to give a shot. Even though not fully heal as there always be a traumatized if happened again and to protect yourself you’ll tend to not to trust people too much but at least you can move on to have a better future.

I had changed my foreword picture too. Hyuna look cute and playful from that picture. Hehe
