Your POV

You sat cross-legged on the couch in the living room, watching the tv. You were in a pretty good mood, considering the paprarazzi had FINALLY left.

L walked into the living room with his shirt off, and a towel wrapped around his neck. He then took a seat next to you. 

You noticed that a couple of the younger maids had stopped working to gape at him.

You felt a pang of jealousy,

*Yah, that's still my husband your gaping at -____-".*

"Put on a shirt," you mumbled.

He raised his eyebrows and leaned in closer to you, until you were pressed against the arm-rest of the couch.

"Why? Jealous?" Drops of water fell onto your skin.

You pushed him away, "You're getting me wet!"

He grinned, "Just came back from the sauna."

"SAUNA?? You have a sauna in here?!"

He nodded, "Yup."

"Oh...What else do you have in here?"

"Want me to give you a tour?"

You nodded excitedly.

"K, let me go put on a shirt first."

You noticed that the eyes of the maids followed him as he walked up the steps.

You scrunched up your face, and looked down at the magazines on the coffee table in front of you.

One had a picture of L's face. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" was printed in large black print across the cover page. 

"It's his birthday today?"

L's POV

Both of us crashed into bed, exhausted after our tour.

"I'm surprised your house doesn't have a map..." She mumbled.

I laughed.

"Hey..."

"Yeah?"

"It's your birthday today?

I didn't respond for a while, then I nodded slowly.

*I guess I forgot this year...*

"Why don't you celebrate," she suddenly stopped, "Oh."

I stayed silent.

"Sorry for bringing it up," she mumbled.

I shook my head, "It's fine."

*I wonder why I forgot about my birthday this year.*

*Hey, since it IS my birthday...*

"Can I get a birthday wish?"

"Birthday wish?"

"Yeah. Can I?"

She nodded, "Sure."

"OK, then, do you know what bothers me?"

"No...what?"

"This," I gestured at the space between me and her on the master bed.

She shrugged, "Not my fault you have such a huge bed."

I sighed, "You're right on the edge, you look like you're about to fall off."

"Am not."

"Can't you just move in closer? It's not like I'll do anything to you."

"Why should I?"

"Because it's lonely all alone over here," I complained.

"Get a dog then!"

I grinned, "Then...i'll just make it my birthday wish."

"Eh?"

"Just sleep here, at least for tonight," I patted the space in front of me.

"You said I could get a birthday wish," I pouted. 

She scowled, but moved in closer to me, till there was barely an inch of space between the two of us.

"Better?" She grumbled.

I gulped, "Uh, yeah, better."

I felt my heartbeat quicken.

*Why...why am I enjoying this?*

I then brought my hand behind her head and gently pushed it closer, so that her head was on my chest.

"Yah!" Sbe tried to move her head away, but my hand stayed firm. 

I blinked at her, "Birthday wish remember?"

She narrowed her eyes at me, but didn't move away.

"You make a pretty good pillow," she muttered.

I smiled, "This was a pretty good birthday."

"You know what would make it even better?"

"What?"

"If I could push you off, so that I'd have this WHOLE bed to myself," she said cheerfully.

I frowned and brought my arms around her.

*This feels nice.*

"You make a good teddy bear," I muttered.

She socked my stomach, "You're just lucky it's your birthday."

I ruffled her hair,

"Happy birthday weirdo," she muttered, as her eyelids closed.

I smiled at her face nestled into my chest, my heart felt like it was about to jump out of my chest.

*Aigoo...even if I fell for you, you wouldn't fall for me right?*
