Visiting our In-laws
My Sarcastic WifeYour POV
Grandpa woke the two of you up.
*It's too early for this.*
“I think it’s time for ~~~~~~ to meet her in-laws don’t you think?”
L’s eyes flashed.
“Uh well,” You began.
*He looks so sad…*
“That’s probably a good idea. I haven’t visited them in a while.”
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The drive to the L’s parents was quiet…VERY quiet.
"I wonder why grandpa chose this day for us to visit them."
"My mom and dad had the same birthday...it's today." He said softly.
You nodded your head.
It felt weird for L to be so sad...everything was perfectly normal yesterday.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
After putting down the bouquet of white flowers, L stared down at the two graves. He bowed and then took a seat on his knees.
His eyes glistened.
*This is wayyy to sad...*
You bowed too, then took a seat next to him.
“You can cry if you want too.”
He looked at you.
“I’ll cover my eyes if you want.”
You took your hands and put it over your eyes.
“Go ahead.”
You heard thunder boom overhead.
You felt someone pull on your hands; you closed your eyes tight.
“You can look dummy…”
You opened one eye to see your husband with tears down his cheeks.
*Aww crap, I’m gonna cry too.*
“What…happened?”
“Car crash.”
You nodded.
L touched the gravestones and began to talk.
“Mom, dad, can you see me from Heaven? I know I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life, but I hope that you can still be proud to have me as a son. I’m married now too. I wonder if it was you two who sent her into my life…”
You smiled, “I’m not that great you know.” Tears formed in your eyes.
He smiled.
Now it was your turn to pay your respects.
“Omonim, Abonim, I know that I’m probably not the daughter in law you imagined, and I know that I don’t deserve your son…” L looked at you.
“But, I’ll try to take care of him, and make him smile every chance I get. And if it is true that you sent me into his life, then I think I should be the thankful one…” Tears escaped from your eyes. Raindrops dropped from the sky.
*It has to rain now, really?*
“Why are you crying?" He asked.
“Because you’re crying, and it’s all…sad.”
“It’s raining since your crying,” He brushed a tear from your cheek.
“How do you know it’s not because YOU’RE crying?” You brushed a tear from his cheek.
He smiled.
“I don’t deserve your son? Didn’t you think I was a jerk?”
“I’m honestly in no position to be insulting someone else.”
He laughed softly. A flash of lightning appeared in the gray sky, thunder followed not long after.
The rain got heavier.
“You should stop crying, cause if you don’t the rain won’t stop, and then we’ll all get sick.” You muttered.
He let out a small laugh.
“I’m sorry for being so bad to you…”
“Bad?”
You nodded, “I know I’m probably, no…I’m positive I’m not the best person out there, so, I just wanted to say sorry for being a really really y wife.”
*Come to think of it...he's been nothing but nice to me all this time >.<"
“You’re not that bad.” He muttered.
You laughed quietly.
“I’m sorry you’re probably never going to meet my parents…”
“I bet they’re really proud of me though, I married such a good guy.” You said softly.
L smiled.
“Ow!”
He quickly turned his head, “What’s wrong?”
“My foot fell asleep…” You mumbled.
He laughed. "Reminds me...how's your stomach?"
No one’s POV
The two of you stayed like that for a while, as the rain poured over you.
