I5. Missed Us?

The Path

The next day, Kai, Luhan and Sehun were hanging around the school entrance, waiting for the girls to come.

"Hey guys!" they looked up and saw Baekhyun running up to them.

"Sup?!" Luhan asked. "Nothing... Are the girls here yet?" The guys shook their heads. "We just got her not too long ago."

*Hmmm... That's weird. Eunbi left before I did.* Baekhyun thought, but quickly shrugged it away.

"So where are the others?"
"Basketball practice, music room and the cafeteria." Baekhyun nodded in understanding.
"Did you guys hear abou--"
"OH MY GOSH!!!! THEY'RE BACK!!!???" Baekhyun was interrupted by a group of girls screaming.

The guys all looked back and saw four cars park swiftly in their reserved parking spaces. They almost forgot that nobody knew about the girls sudden re-appearance a few days ago.

"Let's go before we get trampl-OOF!" Sehun and Kai were trying to leave before the swarm of fancrazed students kill them... too late. The four boys were already on the ground being stepped on and ran over.

Luhan saw an opening in a crowd and took the chance grabbing the other guys making a run for it.

Once they got out, they looked passed the massive sea of students and to the four girls emerging from their cars. The guys jaws dropped. *WHAT THE HELL???!!!*

"What happened to them?"

"They look different."

"Is that really them?"

"Oh My Gosh! They look so pretty!!!"

"Y!!!" The sea of students were flooded with murmurs and gossip. But the four guys behind them were still awestruck. They were already shocked to see that the girls had new hair colors when they came back a few days ago, but surprises come once in a while and let's just say, it's been coming an aweful lot lately. Not that they're complaining.

The girls changed their whole appearance.

Jieun, the school's well known "tomboy" was now wearing a form fitting white dress that hugged her figure in all the right places, matched with a pair of colored stilletos.

Eunbi had a chrome hearts tank top on, topped off with a leather jacket, black ripped jeans and some Louboutin's. Charisma was just flowing out of her.

Dayoung, the group's little conservative cutie, was now wearing a black strapless blouse, denim short shorts and some black stilleto's.

The maknae Soyoon, had a white strapless one peice on, that stopped midway her thighs and had gladiator heels to match. What got everybody creeped out was the fact that she had a smile on her face and not the usual souless glare.

The girls started heading for the entrance and everybody made way for them to pass through. The guys were still in a trance. Luhan, Baekhyun and Kai were close to drooling. Sehun had to snap them out of their thoughts.

"You sick twisted erts! Stop staring them down like a bunch of wolves!! NASTY!!" Sehun lightly punched their stomachs and the three awkwardly looked away, though against their will.

Sehun couldn't care less. He was just happy that his bestfriend was back in school. He looked back to where the girls were and tried to get Soyoon's attention.

"SOYOON!!!!!" he wailed and jumped up and down. She heard him call and she looked at him for about two seconds, then the smile that graced her face just a while ago, was immediatley replaced by the look of sorrow and sadness. She looked away and kept walking towards the school.

"Well that was weird." Kai said walking behind him.
*Why did she just ignore me?*
"Dude come on. Were going to be late if we don't try and push through all these people."  Luhan said pulling Sehun away from his thoughts.

He noticed that it wasn't only Soyoon that was acting weird, but the other girls too. Jieun was faking a smile ever since she got out of her car. Eunbi and Dayoung were smiling but their eyes were showing something completely different. He was trying to shake off the feeling of dread, that something bad is about to happen... soon.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tic Toc Tic Toc... Dayoung was continously eyeing the clock that was etched on the wall. She was so tired and first period wasn't even over yet. They had visited Ara before school started and way before the sun even rose.
Then the constant barrage of questions, compliments and just plain small talk from her school mates were taking a toll on her.
She looked to her side, she could see Jieun and Soyoon weren't in great condition either. They looked good on the outside but felt dead on the inside. Soyoon wasn't even listening to the teacher's monotonous lecture anymore, she was looking out the window thinking about what Ara said to them this morning.
"Oh.. Girls! I would have thought you've had forgotten about me by now." Ara chuckled lightly placing her cup of coffee on the living room table. "So... how's it been?" she looked up and saw the girls eyes b with tears.
"Oh dear..." Ara stretched out her arms ushering the girls to come. The girls didn't think twice and lunged at her, wrapping their arms around her tightly. They were sobbing and quivering.
Ara was patting their heads, "Shhhh... Come on.. tell me what happened." The girls pulled out of the hug one by one, except for Soyoon. She was still hugging Ara's waist, which the latter didn't mind.
"Uri Soyoonie... Why don't you start first? Neh?" she cupped her face and wiped away the tears that were on the younger girl's cheeks.
It took about two hours for the girls to let out their frustrations and problems to Ara.
They told her EVERYTHING... from boy problems, to controling their powers, then to eventually them deciding to move out. They would start crying then laughing then crying again. It was a whirlwind of emotions and the weather was as confusing as can be.
First it would snow, then rain, then be sunny and then rain again. Thanks to Ara's little forcefield, none of it was seen by the outside world.
"When will we be able to fully control this?" Jieun asked.
Ara shrugged. "Well... That would be up to you my dear." The girls faces were stoic.
"What do you mean up to us?" Soyoon asked.
"The first step in accepting change, is to accept the fact that you HAVE changed. Be one with it... Everybody is special in their own way and this is yours."
The girls didn't fully understand what Ara was trying to say, but it made them feel a little bit better. Ara smiled.
"Oh... before I forget... you girls need to know something else." The girls all looked up at her. "What is it?" Eunbi asked. "Well... It's a mix of bad news and good news." Ara sheepishly said.
" I found out why you girls have other powers."
"And...."
"You girls are.... half bloods." The girls faces were etched with utter confusion.
"Half bloods???!! Aren't you one?" Eunbi asked. Ara nodded.
"Wouldn't that mean that one of our parents were some kind of mythical being?" Ara shook her head,"No no no... you were just plainly given the power when you turned."
"What's the good and bad news?"
"Good news... I figured out which clans you guys each came fro-"  "CLANS???!!!" the girls shreiked.
"Oh hush down. It's not as evil as it sounds." Ara waved her hands for them to calm down.
"Soyoon... you have the power of mind control. The only clan that has that power are the Vampires." Ara said calmly. Soyoon's eyes were as big as saucers by now.
"Dayoung... You are a sheild.... which means you have the power of the Fairies." Dayoung had a smile etched on her face.
"Hmph... no fair." Soyoon mumbled. Ara rolled her eyes, "Eunbi... my dear... you have the power of illusions and also have visions of the past and the future... you are an Oracle." Eunbi had a blank face.
Ara looked at Jieun, "Jieun, my dear. Don't get scared with what I'm about to tell you okay." Jieun nodded hesitantly.
"You my dear... have the power of death... Which that is of a Demon." Jieun jumped off of the couch in shock.
"W-What do you mean? D-Demon?" The other girls were shocked too.
"Settle down... You girls only have those powers. There is no risk of you actually turning into one of them. AT ALL. So don't worry." Ara said.
"Don't worry???? I'm a friggin Demon. Soyoon is a blood- Vampire, Dayoung is a twinkly fairy and Eunbi is going to be a bald oracle, for God's sakes!!!!" Jieun protested. Rain started pouring down heavily again.
"JIEUN!" Eunbi yelled. Jieun looked at her and eventually sat down.
Eunbi looked at Ara, "What's the bad news?" she asked.
Ara sighed, "The danger posing for you guys is on the maximum, now that me know that you guys are half bloods. There are more threats to your lives. The portals have been weakly guarded for the past few months and I cannot be of help in your world." Ara told them remorsefuly.
"Which means all of you need to look out for each other at all times. Don't trust anyone."
Eunbi looked at her watch. 6:30... they need to get ready for school.
"Uhmm... we need to head back. School starts in two hours." Eunbi informed them. Ara nodded.
The girls got up and gathered in a line holding hands, getting ready to teleport.
"For the time being... try staying away from other people, until you girls control your powers better." She patted Soyoon's head.
"You wouldn't want any of them to get hurt..." *And then you would end up having to blame yourslef for it.* Ara thought.
Soyoon was the only one who heard her. Come to think of it... maybe that thought was directed to her.
"BRIIINNG!!!!" The bell snapped Soyoon out of her thoughts. She felt something wet on her cheeks.
Cupping her face, she felt the tears that stained it. She didn't even know she was crying. She quickly wiped it away before anyone could notice.
Lookingr around the room, she noticed that it was only her, Jieun and Dayoung left. Everybody was already gone.
"Come on... Eunbi said she was going to meet us in the hallway." Jieun said and headed for the door. The other two followed.
*Great... more classes.* Dayoung thought and earned a giggle from Soyoon.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It was already time for lunch and the guys looked around the cafeteria trying to look for the girls. They were M.I.A.

"Where are they?" Chanyeol was craning his neck trying to scout the place for them. But to no avail. He slumped back down on his chair in defeat.

Chen who was next to him rolled his eyes. "Calm down... I'm sure they're just here somewhere." he said then started chowing down on his food.

Chanyeol looked at him in disgust, "I swear... Xiumin isn't the only fattie in this group." Chen glared at him.

"Says the person who ate two plates of Bulgogi already." Chen said eyeing the two plates infront of Chanyeol.
"Hmmm... Whateve-"
"WHERE IS MY JIEUN???!!!" Chanyeol was cut off by a guy yelling. Kai who was sitting across from him grumbled in agitation.

Chanyeol already knew who it was.
Mhong... Jieun's No. 1 fanboy, ever since the third grade. Mhong wasn't even his real name. It was given to him by a group of students that bullied him.

It was a word play of "mini" and "thong". Nobody really knew how the nickname came to be, but it just stuck.

Mhong pranced up infront of the guys table with Xiumin following behind him. "So... is anybody going to answer me?" He asked again.

The guys rolled their eyes and continued on what they were doing except for Kai who was having a stare down with him. Xiumin nudged Mhong and told him that he'll talk to him later. But the latter still didn't budge.

Sehun got up and stood beside Mhong, "Shoo..." Sehun said nonchalantly and the other hurriedly scurried off as fast as he could.

"Thanks man." Kai said and earned a nod from the maknae. "Anytime." Sehun sat back down and Xiumin followed, only to be stopped by Kai.

"Nuh uh. You stay standing. You brought that pest over here." Kai said and Xiumin gave him a pout.

"Whhhhyyyyyy????" he started stomping his foot on the ground. Kai wouldn't budge though.

"Yah! I'm your hyung!" Xiumin tried a different approach this time, only to be laughed at by the other guys.

"Hyung? You couldn't even get rid of your friend, Sehun had to step in." Kris said and started laughing again. Xiumin was as red as a tomato by now.

Baekhyun felt sorry for him and hushed the guys down. "Ok ok... enough... Let him sit." The guys scooted over.

"Yay! Only Baekhyun understands me..." Xiumin said and started eating his food.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
With all the ruckus in the cafeteria... The girls decided that they needed a breather from their hectic school day and went outside to the soccer field to have a little picnic, or at least just to get away for awhile.
It was peaceful, serene, quiet... a little too quiet.
Usually, Jieun would have been chasing Dayoung around the field by now, while Soyoon would have been cheering for somebody to fight and Eunbi dying of laughter.
But today... silence was their little slice of happiness. No one bothered to talk... they didn't have to. They already knew what was on each other's minds.
Their powers, moving out, and especially their family and friends. Can they really just avoid them... How long will it take... two weeks... a month... or worst... a year.
Nobody knew.
"We're going to have to talk to our parents about us moving out later. Soyoon can just use her powers if they oppose." Eunbi implied, the others nodded.
"But what if the guys ask why we were moving out?" Jieun asked. "I dunno... Just tell them that we just wanted to try it out." Dayoung answered.
"BRIIINNNGG" the bell for third period rang.
The girls sighed in frustration. "Come on. It's only two more periods, then we're free to go." Eunbi pushed them towards the door.
Once they were in they all split up, heading to their classes. Jieun had to go pee so she jogged to the restroom quickly, before the tardy bell rang.
When she was turning at a corner, she collided with somebody and ended up falling down on the floor.
"I am so sorry." the person she bumped into said. It was a guy.
She looked up and her face flushed with embarassment. The guy was so cute. She knew almost everybody in school and she had never seen him before, though he looked oddly familiar.
*Stop staring... Stop staring.* she thought but still did otherwise.
She was brought back to reality when someone cleared their throat. "UH UHM!!!"
Jieun got up and looked back. It was a teacher. "Student's should be heading to class, not flirting around in the hallways."
Jieun and the unknown guy bowed in respect saying sorry. The teacher left and they couldn't help but giggle.
"Oh.. sorry about that, it was actually my fault, I wasn't looking where I was going." Jieun blushed and looked down.
"It's alright." he said. Jieun looked up, his face was so familiar to her, she just couldn't pinpoint exactly where she had seen him.
"Are you new you here? I don't think I've seen you before." she asked. He nodded, "Not exactly new. I started just two weeks ago, but I'm used to it, nobody really notices me." he said rubbing his hand on the back of his neck.
*Why wouldn't they notice you???? You're gorgeous!* she thought.
"My name is Mir, by the way." he held out a hand and she took it, shaking it a little too excitedly.
"And yours?"
"Oh... uhm.. haha.. My name's Jieun."
"BRIIIINNNGG!" the tardy bell snapped Jieun back to her senses.
"Oh my gosh! I got both of us late!" Jieun wailed. Mir shrugged. "I don't mind... It was worth it." He winked at her and started heading for his class.
"See you around Jieun."
Once he was out of sight, Jieun was still frozen to the ground. She couldn't move her legs. She's pretty sure that it was raining heavily outside by now, and she couldn't care less.
A cute guy just talked to her and her insides were flip flopping with giddiness. *KYAAAAHHHHHH!!!!*
She snapped back to reality and looked at her watch. "!!! I'm so late!!!" she ran as fast as she could to her class, forgetting the fact that she had to pee badly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

On the other side of the campus. While Jieun was having the time of her life, her maknae is about to end a life.

Soyoon, was walking towards her classroom which was the music room. All the way in the other side of the campus. It would take her about five minutes to get there because of all the hallway traffic, which was just enough time for her, until the tardy bell rang.

Yet someone just had to stop her.

"Well, well, well...The school's little ice princess Chae Soyoon is back." Soyoon knew who that voice belonged to all too well. She looked back to where the voice came from.

And as she thought.... She was right... It was Kim Hyuna. "I don't have time for you right now." Soyoon her heels and was about to head to her class.

"Hmph... Yeah keep walking." Hyuna yelled. Soyoon stopped in her tracks and gripped the books she was holding tightly. She gritted her teeth and tried calming herself down.

*Soyoon... she's not worth it... Let it go.* she told herself and started walking again.

"Pathetic.... like always." Soyoon's ears perked up. She came onto a complete halt.

'Pathetic' was the last thing she would want to hear someone call her. Especially coming from the mouth of this evil .

She turned around and if looks could kill. Hyuna would've been gone by now.

Soyoon wasn't having any of it. The bell rang already and she couldn't care less.

"What did you call me?" her tone was as cold as ice. Hyuna was taken aback but quickly recovered.

"I said... you are PATHETIC." Hyuna answered emphasizing the last word.
Soyoon couldn't take it anymore.

She smirked and it sent shivers down Hyuna's spine.

"Big mistake..."
