CHAPTER 9

Chaerin’s POV

I woke up as I force myself to smile; this act became my ritual every day. A promise to myself after the worst day of my heart happened. This somehow helps me cope with the pain, sadness that keeps going back even I know, it’s over. That I can’t do anything now to heal the pain, even hope… Faded.

I open the curtains on my glass door and step out on my room’s balcony as I inhale the fresh air and exhale all the bitterness and sad thoughts that once again starting to form.

‘Good Morning Seoul’

I said as my phone beeps, signal for a new text message, surprisingly it is my boss. This is the first time he texted me this early, I check my watch to make sure that I am not late, I am not.

From: Boss

Ms. Lee, Come to office as early as you can. Something came up. Urgent!

Sigh. I wonder what it is all about. It’s still two hours early before my shift. I immediately prepare for when boss said it’s urgent, it is.

As I entered the office with the help of boss since I don’t have the access with me which is my I.D., I wonder where that goes, I saw dara seating at my desk. I don’t expect to see her as early as now.

‘Boss texted you too?’

I asked as I put my bag down and start putting off my things not until she spoke,

‘If I were you, I am not going to put off those things out for we were going somewhere’

‘Where?’

I asked raising my brow.

‘Jeju Island’
