“Wait, I wanted to stay with Nana, L.Joe sunbae…” Saeyeon pleaded.
L.Joe didn’t know how to reply.
He couldn’t say that Chunji wanted them the hell out of there.
He couldn’t say that he wanted to be with her alone – well he could, but there was no way he’d do that. Not until pigs flew or hell froze over.

“Um… you have to study for math. Let’s go study then.” He said awkwardly. He had never felt so uncool before.
Saeyeon looked at him with a strange look on her face.
“Uh yeah, there’s erm… A library! Yeah, why don’t we go there?” He said with a nervous smile, trying to sound normal.
“That’s not a library, sunbae… That’s a mall…” She answered quietly.

L.Joe now felt uncool AND stupid. “Then, let’s go to the mall.” 
“I need to study, remember?” She reminded.
He bit his lip so he wouldn’t say anything else completely idiotic.

Why was it so hard to stay his usual cool self?

Saeyeon smiled to herself. She never remembered L.Joe being so… normal.
It was kind of… amusing – in a cute sort of way.
“Sunbae, why don’t we just go to the “library”?” She teased, putting air quotes around ‘library’ and pointed to Daedong Mall.
“Haha… very funny…” L.Joe said sarcastically, very unenthusiastic about his mistake.
“It is very funny.” She replied and tugged at his sleeve.

L.Joe couldn’t help but think she looked … perhaps… 
Just maybe…

“What happened to “I need to study. Blah blah blah.”?” L.Joe asked, deciding it was Saeyeon’s turn to receive the teasing.
“I will… At the mall. There are tables and chairs there… You do know that right, Mr. I-Think-Malls-Are-Libraries?” Saeyeon joked back.

L.Joe wasn’t used to being made fun of.
There usually wasn’t anything about him to make fun of.
And yet, here he was, being constantly made a fool out of.

But strangely, he couldn’t say it bothered him.
