Seunghyun didn’t know what to do – he wasn’t even sure how things turned this way. One moment Tiffany was happily chattering about her life then she ended up crying in front of him. He panicked when people started to turn heads to their table. The attention was making the atmosphere awkward and he desperately tried to calm her down. Rushing to her side he gently tapped her back to soothe her nerves. She whimpered slightly and tried to control her sobs.

“I just didn’t know he was cheating on me. I gave him everything!” she blew her nose with a tissue, as Seunghyun handed her another batch of rolls.

“There are better men out there Tiff.”

“The only better man I had was you.” She bitterly declared. Seunghyun hushed her when he caught a waiter eavesdropping. He wasn’t sure what to do now since they looked like a couple having a fight plus the fact that Tiffany is being clingy for the past hour.

He was about to give her another tissue when he caught a glimpse of his watch. It was thirty minutes past five. Then he remembers about Haneul, and he almost jumps up.

“What happened?” she looked up with swollen eyes.

“I really need to go Tiff, I have to fetch Haneul.” Then she started to cry again, “But, but how about me? You’d leave me here?”

“Tsk, but I have to go to my daughter.”

Tiffany clings to his arm, jerking him closer to her. “Nooooo! Stay with me please. I can’t do this alone.”

“I’m sorry I have to go.” He freed himself from her and gathered his things, glancing to Tiffany with an apologetic look, “maybe we can talk again next time.”

“But – you’re going to divorce her right?” she stands and clings tighter to his arm, almost wrapping her body around him.

“And how did you know about that?”

“Overheard Taeyang in the club.” She shrugged.

“I’m not sure yet.” He sighed.

“But you –“

“Let go Tiff, I have to go.”

“No!”

“I’m trying to fix my life. I don’t even know why I’m here. Give me time to figure things out.  If you continue to do this, I might as well let Seungri handle all our transactions with you.” Tiffany’s face frowned while Seunghyun was surprised with his own response but remained firm. He doesn’t want to press the matter any longer so he went out the restaurant without looking back again.

Tiffany wiped her tears and her pitiful expression just a while ago turned sour. Slamming her papers on the table, she cursed silently at Seunghyun’s disappearing form. She realized she has to work harder to get him back. So she picked up her phone and made a call to a man she knew she can rely on,

“Dad, I need your help.”

His heart was racing fast when he saw the empty hallway of Haneul’s school. No one was already around so he decided to rush to Haneul’s classroom, but – he didn’t know where. He felt lost at the vastness of the school that he wondered why he even enrolled Haneul in a big campus. She should be home schooled if he was to decide again – the hallways and wide playgrounds are not yet safe for kids her age.
