“Jessi? Are you okay? You’re always spacing out, not that it’s something new” Tiffany asked her best friend. She can’t help but worry because Jessica was always spacing out.

“Yea…”

“Are you sure? Did something happen?” Tiffany asked curiously. Jessica quickly thought of something to distract her best friend.

“What will happen? Nothing happen Tiff. By the way can you look at this design? I need to know your opinion.” Jessica showed Tiffany her designs to make Tiffany drop the subject and the two shared their insights about the designs of their new clothing.

 

Yuri’s Apartment

“Cheers!”

“Yah! How can you celebrate when I’m sulking here?” Yuri crossed her arms in front of her chest and sulk on her couch.

“Yul come on~ at least be happy alright...” Hyoyeon said after gulping a bottle of soju.

“Happy about what?! Why would I be happy?” Yuri asked confusedly.

“Because now you are finally out from the friend zone! Cheers~!” Sooyoung said then raised her bottle again. Taeyeon and Hyoyeon nodded their heads happily and gladly bumped their bottles to Sooyoung’s.

“Should I be happy that I’m no longer in the friend zone?” Yuri asked again. This time she’s more confused than ever.

“Yea… at least now you move from being a friend to being a -buddy.” Taeyeon gladly answered Yuri’s query and the rest cheered again while Yuri frowned.

“Look on the bright side. At least now you can do ‘it’ with Jessica without you two being in a commitment. Right?” Sooyoung handed Yuri another bottle and Yuri gladly took it.

“Right!” TaeHyo shouted in unison.

“But seriously Yul…” Taeyeon spoke in a serious tone while eyeing Yuri. “Are you going to be satisfied with just being Jessica’s buddy? I mean… We know you want to be in a relationship with her, we know how much you love her which led you to having with her–”

“I made love to her…” Yuri corrected Taeyeon.

“Alright… which led you to making love with her but seriously? Is that enough for you? Is it okay for you if Jessica will always come to your apartment drunk and will demand to have se– I mean to make love to you?” Taeyeon looked at Yuri intently. Sooyoung and Hyoyeon stopped being noisy and looked at Yuri intently as well.

“I don’t know Tae… her family is in chaos and her life is in mess. I just want to be there for her. I can’t leave her like that.”

“Yul… I didn’t say anything about leaving her. What I’m trying to say… either you tell her to stop seducing you or just come clean with your feelings for her. Confess… that’s what I want you to do.”

Yuri messed her air and started thinking deeply. Hyoyeon and Sooyoung who was so noisy earlier just stayed there and didn’t even say a word. The two always goof around but when the situation requires them to be serious, they become serious. Seeing Yuri’s troubled expression worries them. They are worried that Yuri might do something that they didn’t expect her to do.

 

 

“Look here… *click*click* some more... *click*click* now turn to the other side *click*click* perfect!” Yuri exclaimed while examining the pictures on her camera.

“That’s a wrap everybody. Thank you for your hard work.” Yuri thanked everyone and proceeds to her laptop to edit the pictures.

One by one her staff was already leaving, of course not forgetting to say good bye to their boss. Yuri smiled at them and thanked them one last time before they leave. When she was the only one on the studio, she slumped back to her seat and scans the pictures to be added on the magazine that 2-K shine is currently working on.

Half way through scanning, Yuri got a glimpse of the picture on her desk. It was her and Jessica on their senior year. Yuri was smiling widely for the camera while Jessica had her arm around Yuri’s neck and her lips on Yuri’s cheeks. It was already a week since the incident happened and they’ve done ‘it’ four times already, of course Jessica was in her drunken state and to avoid any awkward atmosphere between them Yuri would always leave early and just leave a note for Jessica. Unconsciously Taeyeon’s words kept repeating inside Yuri’s head. She leaned back on her seat and rubbed her temple to soothe the feeling.

“Tired already? I bet you haven’t eaten your dinner yet.”

Yuri immediately turned to the source of voice and found herself face to face with her uncle, who helped her get a job at 2-K Shine. Yuri immediately stood up and bowed her head 90o.

“Good evening Mr. Jung…”

“Oh come on Yul, stop the formality. What happened to Uncle Jung?” Mr. Jung patted Yuri’s shoulder. Yuri stood straight and smile at Mr. Jung who is now looking at her photos.

Mr. Jung, Mr. Kim and Mr. Hwang are the ones who build 2-K Shine but since Taeyeon graduated, she was given the task to handle the company whilst Jessica and Tiffany agreed to be the designers for they don’t want to burden themselves of being a co-president.

“Yul… you really are a god when it comes to taking photos. Your work is unbelievable.” Mr. Jung praised Yuri
