Yuri shot up from lying to sitting position. She run her fingers thru her hair.

Her dreams are getting weirder and weirder as the time progresses.

At first, she will only dream of her getting thrown off of something or getting shot but now, her attackers are slowly taking a form.

Minutes later after she woke up, she heard a soft knock on her door.

“Yuri?”

“Come in. It’s open”

After she said those words, the door to her room slowly opens revealing Jessica, who even in a messy bedroom hair still looks stunning.

“I was screaming again wasn’t I?” Yuri asked. She patted the empty space beside her.

Jessica slowly shook her head then approached the bed. “No…”

It’s been roughly 3 weeks now since Jessica took Yuri in.

And for a girl who is a heavy sleeper and justify sleeping as a hobby, the first week was a living hell for her.

Jessica will always find herself getting woken up in the middle of the night by Yuri’s screaming.

“I’m sorry for waking you up” Yuri apologized sincerely.

Yuri does know that she’s been causing Jessica to have sleepless nights since the day she took her in.

Yuri made a couple of suggestions.

Well, Yuri more like said to Jessica to just kick her out.

In that way, no one can disturb her sleeping but Jessica shrugs Yuri’s suggestion. Saying that it was absurd.

“Yuri stop saying sorry” Jessica placed a glass of water on the night stand beside Yuri’s bed. “Nightmares are out of your control”

“Jessica, what if–”

“Another ‘just kick me out’ suggestion?” Jessica cut off before Yuri could even finish her words.

Yuri slowly nodded her head.

“Do you honestly think I will kick you out with that condition?”

Yuri looked away.

“Alright, let’s say I kick you out. Where are you going then? You don’t even remember who you are or who you were” Jessica slightly raised her voice.

Yuri stayed mum and just continue to look away.

“If I kick you out will you find your way back to me?”

Yuri snapped her head back to Jessica only to find the older girl silently weeping.

Yuri let out a sigh then pulled the older girl to her chest. “I’ll always find my way back to you, Jessica”

Jessica sobbed whilst Yuri just hugged her tightly.

Yuri had this strong feeling to keep Jessica by her side whatever happens.

Yuri feels protective of Jessica and she doesn’t know why nor doesn’t she want to find out. She’s just going with her instinct.

The older girl continues to sob quietly until she fell asleep.

It wasn’t fully Yuri’s fault that Jessica gets to wake up in the middle of the night.

Sometimes, Jessica would wake up on her own accord because of the similar reason, nightmare.

Jessica doesn’t know about Yuri’s nightmare but she sure knows about hers.

It was always about her being alone and that maybe the reason why she took Yuri in and wants the tanned girl to stick around.

Because Jessica feels safe, at home, not alone when she’s with Yuri.

“Don’t leave me Yuri” Jessica gripped Yuri’s shirt tightly like the latter was leaving.

“I won’t leave” Yuri give a light kiss on Jessica’s crown as she continues to soothe the older girl back to sleep.

Unconsciously, Jessica fell asleep in Yuri’s chest at the same time Yuri fell asleep with Jessica in her arms.

“I’ll be waiting for you downstairs, okay?”

When Yuri saw the fair few days back, she made a mental note to ask the shorter girl to go with her.

Yuri didn’t waste time and asked the girl out to which the shorter girl immediately said yes to.
