Chapter Forty Five: Kidnap
Where Fate Takes UsKai POV:
I pushed my hair back once again, cursing myself for letting Baekhyun near me with that hair brush. I shook my head at the memory of him chasing me around the room, only to feel the hair fall back in place from the motion. I huffed and sighed, deciding to give it up. Maybe I’d be able to secure a little help from Nina before I put my plan into action.
I found myself infront of their hotel room. This is it. I took a deep breath and knocked on the door. A moment later, I heard voices whispering behind the door,
“Its Kai.”
“No!~” My mouth twitched up into a smile automatically at the sound of Ava’s voice. “He can’t be here!” She wailed once again. This didn’t discourcage me, only made me stand up straighter. I knew she liked me; she’d told me herself. Now it was all a matter of getting her to let me in, get to know me. Finally, although there was obvious protest, the door swung open,
“Hi Kai!” Nina beamed and I rolled my eyes. She knew everything and now she was gonna go all happy mother hen on me or something. “Do you need something?” She smiled slighty and leaned against the door, not letting me in just yet. I smirked for a moment, but then went serious, playing along with her,
“I’m here to kidnap Ava.” At that I heard a squeek from behind the door and another person’s laughter. Then Stephanie came up behind Nina,
“At least he’s honest about his intentions.” I cracked a smile and Nina did too.
Finally our laughter died down and Nina looked at me again,
“Well… I don’t know Kai…” I stared at her,
“Since when are you her mother?” She smirked and shook her head,
“Gosh, can’t you take a joke, Kai?”
“Oh…” I blushed slightly. I guess I was more tense than I first thought… “Is she coming?” I finally managed to ask. At that, we all looked towards the room to see Ava trying to sneak past to her room while we were all talking. Stephanie grinned and made eye contact with Nina. They shared a look and nodded,
“She’s yours.” Nina opened the door and let me in. I smiled and ran in to grab Ava before she got too far. Ava felt the difference in the room as I was let in and turned to look. Her eyes grew wide as I came towards her,
“Come on Ava!” I chirped as I grabbed her hand.
“No…” She whined, already haven given up on protesting too much. Honestly, she wanted to come with me, but was too scared to admit it to herself. I smiled and turned to look back at her,
“I’ll make you see. I’ll make you trust me.”

Ten minutes later we were out of the hotel and traveling the streets of LA. I looked around in wonder at the city, this having been the first time I had been able to get out and have a good look around. As we walked, I looked around, trying to find something to do. My hyungs had all tried giving me advice, but nothing seemed right. I needed to come up with sonething on my own… but what? I sighed and looked over at Ava. She was walking along beside me, her arms wrapped around herself as though trying to keep it all together. I knew the feeling; being this close to her, let alone the fact that it was just us, made my heart want to explode. I’d done it; I’d finally done it. She was out with me. Well, it was slightly against her will, but I would have left if she relly did fight me. But she hadn’t, only giving partial resistance at first, but with a quick shove from her friends she shut up and looked down at her feet, cheeks tinged a rosy pink. I smiled at the memory, only a few minutes before.
I kept looking around, hoping something would pop out to me. I wanted this to be perfect.
Absolutely perfect.
And that’s when I saw it. It wasn’t the same considering it was summer, but it would do. Before me stood an inside ice skating rink and I couldn’t have been happier. I grinned widely and put my hands on her shoulders and turned her to face the building,
“Come on!” I lightly pushed her forward. I noted how her shoulders tensed slightly at my initial touch, but relaxed slightly as time went on.
“Ice skating…?” She asked shakily. I nodded. “I can’t… ice skate…” She said softly.
“Oh, it’s no problem! I’ll teach you!”
“That didn’t go so well last time…” She said darkly and I laughed at her meaning. She meant just earlier this morning when I tried teaching her to dance,
“I think it went splendidly!” I grinned cheekily at her. Her cheeks darkened and she ducked her head to try and hide it, but I saw it all and chuckled lightly to myself.
“Don’t worry about it. You’re with me.” I smiled down at her sweetly and she returned my gaze cautiously, set in a line. “Come on. Smile! I really won’t let you fall.”
“That’s not what I’m worried about…” She muttered.
D'aww, aren't they adorable?!?! XD
