 Nina POV

I was standing back stage at the concert with a few other SM translators. We were all busy tonight with translating for the large crown of fans who, in majority, spoke English. The artists would stand and make their greetings, followed momentarily by an English translation from one of us back stage. I of course introduced EXO. ^^ But Kris also said a bit in English. Show off. :P Jk, all of the fangirls were screaming at hearing him speak English.

It was daebak.

I was so excited to be at this concert, even if I was working. I loved so many of the artists and had never been in such an amazing situation. Super Junior, f(x), EXO, SHINee, BoA, DBSK, SNSD, etc. They all were really awesome and each SM artist had at least one song that I loved. I cheered for them all as they came and went across the stage. I looked at the schedule to see who would be going on next. My eyes widened when I saw what it said: Lay, Kai, and Sehun.

They were on next.

This was it.

I looked up as someone called my name,

“Nina!” I saw Yi Xing standing there at the edge of the curtain a few feet away. I stook a step towards him and he smiled, “Watch closely, okay. Listen well.” He approached me and cast a quick glance around. No one was looking, so he leaned down and placed a quick kiss on my cheek. I blushed. “Will you watch?” he asked. I nodded,

“Of course,” I whispered. He smiled,

“Good! Cheer for me! Jia You! (Fighting!)” At that he walked back to the stage with Sehun and Kai. The lights dimmed and they ran out to get in position. I watched as a stage hand ran out with a guitar and a stool, placing it on stage. I walked to the edge of the curtain so that I could see well. Lay picked up the guitar and sat on the stool. Sehun and Kai positioned themselves on either side of him, slightly behind him. The lights slowly brightened and I watched in awe as it began…

It was Angel, but a different version. The song was adjusted for one singer and a guitar. Lay sat up there, singing alone and played his guitar. This was when his singing was most comfortable and he was at his best. He seemed to loose himself in the music as his fingers ran over the cords smoothly. Kai and Sehun started dancing as he sang and played. Their dancing was impecable, but I couldn’t be distracted by that. Yi Xing is who I really needed to watch.

He sang, and I only had eyes for him; only had ears for the sweet words he sang.

He finished his part singing, and sat down his guitar. Without missing a beat, he joined in with the other two, dancing his heart out. It was so beautiful: all of it. Never before had that song spoken to me so much. Sure, I’d heard it plenty of times. But never before had it been sung by Lay: sung for me.

Honestly, I wanted to cry. I wanted to cry, and I wanted to hug him. I wanted to hug him and kiss him and thank him for being so amazing to me. He was everything that I could ever ask for: everything and more. He was amazing, and I am eternally grateful to him.

As long as you’re with me, heaven can be anytime, anywhere.

They finished their performance and began to make their way off of the stage. I quickly stepped back and wiped my eyes. I didn’t want them to see me so caught up in emotion. Kai would never let me live it down.

As soon as he left the stage, Lay was searching for me. He looked around and finally spotted where I had hid myself off in a corner. He approached slowly, smiling sweetly,

“What’d you think?” he asked sweetly. I stuttered slightly and continued to blink back my tears. He noticed this and smiled. He grabbed my hand, “Come with me,” He pulled me along down the hall to an empty room. He closed the door behind us. I understood what he was doing. No one could see us acting this way around each other. That was too public. Our relationship was still a secret. Neither of us was ready to go public. He stepped forward and wrapped his arms around me, “Shh…” He comforted me. It was silent as he rubbed my back. Finally, “Why are you crying?” I knew he was smiling slightly as he asked. I blushed,

“…”

“Please,” He crooned. I sighed,

“I-I was so touched. That was really beautiful Yi Xing. You did an amazing job.” He chuckled,

“Thank you. I was hoping you’d like it.” I nodded and hid my face in his shoulder. He chuckled and patted my hair. “Nina~” He whispered.

“Hmmm?” I asked from my place in his arms, my face still hidden from him.

“I meant every word.” He smoothed down my hair again and placed a light kiss on my head. I pulled back slightly and looked at him. He smiled back at me, his dimples evident. “Everyday with you is heaven~” I blushed and he chuckled, his eyes disappearing cutely. He leaned forward and kissed me quickly. He leaned in and whispered in my ear,

“My Angel.”
