The beginning's a little random and weird... but I got it from the video of Kris, Suho, and Lay at a press conference or something in LA where they spoke English and Lay failed in the most adorable, endearing way and I just wanted to hug him for all eternity for his cute mistake....

“Ohhh! I want some of that!” Lay pointed to a cart selling cotton candy. I laughed and we walked over to it and we bought some to share. We started walking along. As we walked Lay kept asking what different things said or what people around us were talking about. I translated easily for him, but after awhile it gave me an idea,

“Yi Xing,”

“Hmm?” He asked cutely with a piece of candy hanging off his lip. I giggled and he looked at me in confusion, “What?”

“You have something here….” I reached up and wiped off the fluffy candy.  He blushed then made a face and while I laughed.

“What were you going to say?” he asked me.

“Oh. I was going to say that we should have an English Lesson. You keep asking me questions, so I might as well teach you some.” I smiled and he looked at me with wide eyes,

“O-Okay…” I looked around, looking for something to say. I looked to his hand and pointed to the cotton candy,

“miánhuā táng is cotton candy.” He looked down at it in concentration.

“Isn’t that clothes…?” he asked me seriously and I giggled.

“Cotton is a material, so we call it cotton candy because it’s fluffy like cotton (and Nay…).” He nodded.

“Okay… C-Cot…Cotton… Caendy…?” I smiled,

“Pretty good.” I looked around and started pointing things out to him. After awhile he’d had enough,

“Aish! This is crazy! I only need to know three English words.” I laughed,

“And what are they?” I asked innocently.

“I lub you.” He said seriously. While his mispronunciation was adorable, the serious face made it all the more so. I smiled,

“Love?”

“Yes, lub.”

“I love you.”

“I very lub you.” He grinned and I resisted the urge to facepalm.

Let it go Nina… Just let it go…

                “I very Love you too.”

We walked along, hand in hand, trying to figure out what to do. As we walked I heard the jingly music of a carousel and turned to see it. It was covered with various animals, some real, others fictional, all moving up and down and around in a circle in a dizzying array of carnival colors. I nodded my head with it, watching it move up and down, up and down. Suddenly something caught my attention,

“Yi Xing! Look!” I pointed to a particular character and he turned to see what was so exciting. “It’s a unicorn!!!!” His mouth formed an ‘O’ as he stared at it wide eyed. We looked at eachother, then back at the ride, huge smiles adorning our faces.

“We have to ride it!!!”

Sadly there was only one unicorn, causing Yi Xing to pout profusely. I laughed and went to stand by the horse next to it,

“I’ll just ride this one.” He narrowed his eyes at it and shook his head,

“No. Here, get on.” He helped me up on the unicorn. I then expected him to go and get on the horse, but he didn’t. Why would I ever expect something so normal from him? No, instead he hoisted himself up on the unicorn behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. I squeeked and turned to look at him,

“What are you doing?”

“We both have to ride the unicorn. Duh. This is the only way to make it work.”

“They’ll probably kick us off…” He rested his head on my shoulder and shook it no,

“Never! They can’t separate me from my kinsmen!” I laughed, before sighing upon the realization that we were probably about to get a very awkward look from the worker walking around,

“Ke Yi… (Alright)”

A minute later a girl in the Disney uniform began walking past us as she made her rounds before starting the ride. She stopped and looked at us incredulously. Yi Xing sent her a charming smile while I was wishing that the ground could swallow me up. But, it seemed to do the trick because she blushed slightly and quickly moved on, not saying a single word to us. I chuckled and shook my head. I turned to see Yi Xing smiling widely at me, his cheek resting against mine. I leaned against him and closed my eyes as the ride whirred to a start.

Little did we know, we were being watched…  

We went around and around many times, the wind blowing through my hair kept forcing it into Lay’s face where he was left to splutter untill I eventually ventured to put it up into a band. When I went to let go of the pole to tie my hair back, he wrapped his arms around me tighter than ever. I smiled and looked back at him,

“What?”

“I don’t want you to fall.” He blinked back at me innocently and I smiled, turning back towards the front and pulling my hair back into a tie. Once I finished, I placed my hands back on the pole infront of me, but Yi Xing’s grip never loosened. This caused me to blush slightly, but it was a good, happy kind of blush.

The ride came to an end all to soon, slowing down gradually before finally coming to a full stop. I frowned and Lay saw. He pulled me back towards him closer and leaned down to kiss my cheek quickly. I blushed again and he pulled back to whisper in my ear,

“Don’t frown. We’re together, right?” I wanted to melt from the cheesyness of it, but all that I could muster to do is let out a small squeek to which he smiled brightly, eyes crinkling slighly, “Ahh, it’s been far too long...”

We were broken from our little moment by the girl from before as she cleared . We looked down at her in surprise and she avoided all eye contact awkwardly,

“Umm, the rides over… I’m going to have to ask you to get off… New people need to get on…”

“Oh! I’m sorry! Yi Xing, we have to get off!” I pushed him slightly and he slid himself off and helped me down after. I bowed quickly to the girl, “So sorry! Thank you!” She smiled awkwardly, looking between the two of us, before I grabbed Yi Xing’s hand and sped off.

As we were walking along, just minding our own business, I was suddenly attacked by a crazed fangirl aka Stephanie,

“YAH!!!! NINA!!!! YOU’LL NEVER GUESS WHAT JUST HAPPENED!!!” Trailing a few steps behind her was a smiling Kris. Like, happier than I’ve ever seen him, Kris. I eyed the two of them suspiciously,

“Where’re everyone else…?” I asked slowly,

“Oh, we ditched them.” Kris answered casually. I rolled my eyes. Lay squeezed my hand and I looked over at him. He smiled at me and gestured towards the two of them. While I had been too preoccupied with my worried mother instinct, Kris had taked Stephanie’s hand in his. I stared at it, and then up at their faces.

“So, you finally did it?” Lay asked casually. Kris grinned and squeezed Stephanie’s hand. I was still taking it all in. I looked over at Syephanie who was staring at me intently, waiting for my reaction. She finally got it: I squeeled and attacked her with a giant hug, of which she quickly returned.
