Nina POV

“Oh, look! It’s Julian and Amber! Hey guy-” Lay quickly attacked Kris. “Mffthhmmnmm.” He tried to continue, but it only came out garbled. Lay glared at him. Then he looked over at Stephanie and smirked, remembering a conversation he and Kris had ages ago.

“Hey Kris. Remember that time… You know, when I told you to watch out when you get a girlfriend? Yeah. Well now that you two are together, expect me to return the favor. Karma in action!” Kris groaned and Lay finally let go of him.

*Flashback*

“You wait untill you get a girlfriend and you have to meet her gege.” He just ignored me and continued with his laughing…

*End Flashback*

“What was that about?” Stephanie asked. The two of us shared confused looks. Lay just grinned,

“Oh, nothing!~ It was my turn to threaten Duizhang this week!~” He gave Kris a cheeky wink before grabbing my hand, “Come on! Let’s go this way. Away from Julian and Amber. I didn’t want pizza anyways…” I laughed and nodded, running off with him. I turned momentarity to send Stephanie a quick wave and encouraging smile. I can’t believe that it’s finally happened! She and Kris are together. Like, that’s crazy. It still hasn’t quite sunk in yet.

Kris POV

So, now YiXing had me all paranoid that Stephanie was gonna have some huge brother who was gonna come and beat me up or something. At least Julian is cool! Well, to me at least… He’s still weird with Yi Xing… But I guess that’s understandable… If only Julian was Stephanie’s brother! Then I’d know what I was dealing with here.

I was beginning to get serioulsy fidgetey and Stephanie had noticed. For some reason Lay had really gotton to me. This day has just been nervewracking for me.

“What’s wrong with you?” Stephanie laughed, “You’re acting like Chanyeol who can’t sit still.” I frowned,

“Sorry…” It was silent and I tried to keep myself still. Then I finally decided to ask, “Stephanie… You don’t have a brother do you?”

“No, why?”

“O-Oh, no reason…” I smiled to myself. Ha! Victory! Mehrong Lay! She doesn’t have a brother!~ I can’t wait to rub it in his face later. “I have three sisters, a mom, and a dad.” She added oh so helpfully. My face fell.

Of course.

Her father...

I tried to push these thoughts far from my mind. We’d just confessed. Meeting her family shouldn’t even be a thought in my head at this point. It’s all that darn Yi Xing’s fault for reminding me… I always knew that kid was gonna be a troublemaker from the start. It’s always the quite ones…

We were quite as we walked along. I took a deep breath and just tried to cherish this moment. Who knows if we’ll ever have such a normal moment together? As we walked, our hands brushed accidentally. I smiled as she pulled it away out of habit. I then reached out and took it into mine, her tiny hand becoming enveloped by mine. I smiled, totally happy with this moment. Forget YiXing. He’s the one with real brother problems, not me~ Heh.

I was about to suggest that we go and get something to eat when I heard a voice yell from across the park,

“KriiiiiiSSSSssssssSSSSSsssss!~” I groaned. I know that voice… Not two seconds later, the king of derps appeared before us. He gasped for breath. “I thought,” gasp, “We lost,” gasp, “you guys!” I rolled my eyes, although he missed it.

“No. We ran away.” Chanyeol looked at me and laughed,

“What?! Silly Kris! Why would you do that???” He started laughing at me like I was the crazy one. Then he turned to Stephanie, “Ohhhh! Stephanie!!!! Guess WhhaaaAAAaaat?!?!”

“What?”

“I. Saw. Mulan.”

“WHAT!?!? NO WAY!!!”

“YES WAY!!!”

“WHAAAAAT?! NOOOOO! YOU MEAN I MISSED THAT?!?!”

“UH HUH!”

I looked at her pointedly and she blushed.

“Oh… I mean… yeah… cool… that’s… okay.” She bit her lip as she tried to keep calm. I couldn’t tell if it was because she was still freaking out about Mulan… or me… I smirked, much rathering the latter. Chanyeol missed this whole interaction between the two of us, as usual since he is totally oblivious most of the time.

“Oh! Wait! There she is!!!! Come on!” And at that Chanyeol grabbed Stephanie’s other hand and pulled her along to go find Mulan. Stephanie looked back at me and smiled half-heartedly. I could tell she felt bad. Yeah. I did too… I was trying to keep calm, but inside I was beginning to boil. One day. Just one day in and someone is already barging between us. I followed after them, a dark aura surrounding me.

Chanyeol dragged Stephanie around for a good while. I was always just a few steps too slow to catch and stop them completely. Finally I caught them while they were staring up at Cinderella’s castle again.

“CHANYEOL!” I called. He stopped and turned slowly,

“Ne hyung…?” He knew he was in trouble.

“I would greatly appreciate it if you would leave Stephanie and I alone so that we can finish our DATE in peace. Date. Two. Stephanie and I.” His eyes widened at my words.

“D-Date?!” He looked at me, then down at Stephanie for confermation. She nodded awkwardly, not wanting to hurt his feelings, but… She wasnted to be alone too… “O-Ohh… I didn’t know! Shoot! Now Baekhyun Hyung’s gonna kill me…” He mumbled the last bit, but we heard. I took a step closer,

“Not if I kill you first.” I growled. Chanyeol jumped and took a step back.

“Oh. Heh. Right… Umm…. I’ll just be going then…” And with that he was gone.

Oh my gosh! This has taken me forever to upload! My computer and internet both officially hate me. -.-
