Chapter Thirty Two: Kaioala
Where Fate Takes UsSuho POV
“Oooh! Let’s go here!” Sehun pointed up at the giant roller coaster in glee. Everyone froze and looked up at the giant roller coaster in awe. It was silent for a moment, before D.O. smiled,
“Okay.” Luhan laughed nervously,
“I’m just gonna sit out…”
“It’s okay hyung. I know you don’t like heights.” Sehun smiled sweetly.
“Umm… Well… Ava obviously doesn’t want to go either, so I’ll just si out and kep her company.” Kai said as he looked over at Ava who was staring up at the ride with wide eyes. Everyone turned and looked at Ava. She blinked back at everyone innocently,
“…But I wanna go…” She pouted slightly. Kai paled and D.O’s eye’s got wide(er). I was quite surprised too. She didn’t seem like the type to like roller coasters. She turned away from us and smiled up at it with wide eyes.
“I’m doomed…” I heard Kai mutter. I smiled and patted him on the back,
“I’ll stay with Luhan. I don’t like the looks of this anyways. You kids have fun.” Kai groaned and trailed along after the other excited three. I sat down on a bench with Luhan,
“He seriously likes her.” Luhan commented. I smiled warmly,
“I know.”

It was about fifteen minutes later before they all came trudging back. Sehun and D.O. were walking along and chatting. A few paces behind them was Ava with a green looking Kai trying to keep up.
“…Kai…You don’t look so good…” I commented as they joined us.
“…’m fine…” He mumbled, looking away. I tutted at him and stood up. I pushed him down in the seat I had been occupying,
“Sit.”
“So how was it?” Luhan asked while I was fussing over Kai.
“It. Was. Awesome!” Sehun cheered. He and D.O. began describing everything with rapid hand motions and strange sounds. Luhan and I laughed and I smiled fondly over at them. I looked over to see Ava staring at Kai with what seemed to be a look of concern. I smiled to myself before addressing her,
“What about you Ava? Did you like it?” She smiled brightly and nodded her head vigorously. I smiled and looked down at Kai. I didn’t need to ask how he felt about it.
After a few minutes we started walking on. I noticed Kai lagging behind. He was no longer bothering Ava continously, which was an immediat indicator that something was wrong. I slowed my pace to join him at the back of the group.
“What’s up Kai?” He sighed and watched the ground.
“She must think I’m weak…” I sighed and shook my head,
“Kai,” I put my arm around his shoulder, “Listen to your hyung. Not enjoying or going on a ride does not make you weak. Please, she knows you’re not weak. We all know. Your dedication and skill in dance is more than enough to prove that to us. I couldn’t do what you do. We all have our strengths and weaknesses and there comes a certain point in which you must step back and asess yourself. Maybe roller coasters aren’t your thing, but you can dance longer and better with more determination than anyone I know. Now that’s impressive. And sometimes it takes a truly strong man to step back and know what’s best for him. And you can do that. Look at Luhan Hyung. He doesn’t like heights and he admits it, yet do we see him as anyless? No, he just has a phobia and we accept it. It’s no big deal.” He continued to hang his head, “And Frankly, I don’t like them either. That thing scared the heck out of me. That’s why I stepped out.” He looked up at me,
“How can you say that so easily?” I sighed and squeezed his shoulder slightly.
“Don’t give yourself such a hard time. You’re great.” I pulled away, “Now come on. I don’t like seeing you like this. Don’t tell Nina I said this, but go. Go give Ava a hard time.” I pushed him forward and he looked back at me cluelessly. I winked at him and his eyes widened. He turned and ran forward. After a moment of hesitation he ran and put his hands on Ava’s shoulders, jumping. She turned in surprise and turned bright red. She smacked at his hands, but he just atttatched himself to her arm, very similar to how a koala might. She tried her hardest to pry him off or something, but he wouldn’t budge. Eventually she stopped and gave up, walking along degectedly with a Kaioala on her arm.
Wah!~ Its finally the weekend and I can update again!~ I've had this chapter as well as a few others written for a few days now, but I never had enough time to type them and post them. -.- But now you can expect at least one more chapter tonight and hopefully more before the weekend is over!
