Sandwich

Weirdly, he was starting to like you

It has already been 2 weeks and Jaejoong kept following you, trying to talk to you. 'Annoying' you

You ignored him most of the times, but the more you ignore him, the more persistent he became

One day, you were sitting on a bench by yourself in the school garden at lunch break

You were staring blankly at the flowers

Colorful.. Pretty.. Nothing like me at all.. You sighed as you rested your elbow on your knee and your chin on your palm

"What are you sighing about?" Suddenly a sandwich pops out of nowhere in front of you. You looked up and there was Jaejoong. He was holding another sandwich in his other hand

You sat up "What are you doing here?" You asked, annoyed

"What? Can't I have a decent meal with you?" he sat next to you and handed you the sandwich

You ignored him by looking the other way

"Hey.. Hey.. Hey.. Hey.." he kept pushing the sandwich to you

You couldn't take it anymore

"My God! You are the most annoying guy I have EVER known!" you stood up angrily

Jaejoong just looked at you with his mouth chewing. Completely unaffected by your comment

"Want some?" he held out the sandwich again innocently with his big round eyes

You rolled your eyes and sighed in frustration "Not hungry" you replied

But as if on cue, your stomach grumbled

He laughed "No you're not. Come. Just eat with me" he patted the spot you were sitting before

You didn't want to but.. you gave in. At the end of the day, it was still free food. You could save on money

"Fine" you held out your hand and he handed you the sandwich

You sat on the bench again. But a little far from Jaejoong

Jaejoong scooted closer. And you scooted away. Until you were on the edge of the bench. You couldn't scoot away anymore

You sighed in frustration again

"You are annoying, don't you know that?" you said

"I know" he munched his sandwich

You started eating the sandwich as well

Jaejoong stared intently at you. Your face was flawless, except for your lifeless, blank eyes. He wanted to see your eyes bright, full of life and.. beautiful

"Hey" he called

You looked at him from the corner of your eyes while still biting to your sandwich

"Why are your eyes so.. blank?" he asked

You chewed and swallowed "Is that one of your bussiness?" you asked bitterly

"Yes" he replied

You looked at him weirdly, because for once, you didn't know what to say. He was the only person who could do that

Then he laughed

"What?"

"You have some err.. " he touched the corner of his right lip

"What?" you touched the corner of your right lip as well, but couldn't find anything wrong

"No, here.." he reached the corner of your left lip wiped the mayonaisse off it

Looking at each others' eyes for quite a while, you both felt awkward

You both turned to look the other way

He cleared his throat, you jsut began eating your sandiwch again, pretending like nothing happened

That was the first time someone has ever did that to you

When you were finished eating, you cleared your throat and stood up

You were about to walk away but he caught your hand

You felt a stream of electricity running down your body when you felt his hand. But still cold as always, you looked back at him "What?"

"You're just going to go away like that?"

You plainly nodded

"Not even a 'thank you'?"

"Thank you" you said and shook your hand off his and began walking away. Leaving him dumbfounded

Lee Hyeri.. How did you manage to catch my attention so much? You're cold to me, you're far from nice. Yet, I still find myself drawn to you.. What is it that makes me... like you so much? he asked to himself

He had asked to himself that question a whole lot to himself. But he still couldn't find that answer

Maybe this was what they call love at first sight?

He thought for a while

Nahh.. he shook his head

He slapped his cheeks to prevent him from thinking any more ridiculous stuff
