Chapter 48 – Hyemi

He kissed your lips

“Um, you know, if it bothers you that much, we could do it right now, I wouldn’t mind” he said

You slapped his arms “ert!”

It has already been a week and it was time to go home. All the students boarded the bus and the bus drove back to the school.

The group sat at the back of the bus, you sat next to Jaejoong, Yunho with Yoochun and Changmin with Junsu, while Donghae with Jessica

You felt tired and your eyelids felt heavy

Your eyelids closed and you fell asleep with your head hung low

Jaejoong, who was looking out the window, noticed you were sleeping. He softly smiled and rested your head on his shoulder

Unconsciously, you shifted closer to him to get into a more comfortable position

Jaejoong wrapped his arm around you to make you feel warmer

Jessica was talking with Donghae, while Yunho, Changmin, Yoochun and Junsu joked and played around before they eventually grew tired and went to sleep too

After 3 hours, the bus arrived at the school. It was 3 in the evening

Jaejoong gently shook your body “Hyeri-ya, wake up, we’re here” he whispered

Your eyes fluttered open and you saw Jaejoong’s face

You nodded and got up slowly. The group waited for the other students to alight the bus first before they do

You were still feeling sleepy, so you held onto Jaejoong’s arms and rested your head on his arm, still half-asleep

“Let’s go grab something to eat!” Junsu suggested

Everyone agreed, but Jaejoong noticed you were half-asleep on his arm. He knew you were still tired from the trip, so he had to refuse “I’m good, Hyeri’s tired, I’ll just take Hyeri home and just grab something to eat later”

Your eyes slowly opened “Ani, Jaejoong-ah, I’m okay”

“It’s okay, you’re tired. I’ll take you home”

“But-“

“No buts”

You frowned

“Aww… The couple is so sweet~” Junsu cooed

“More like so mushy” Changmin shuddered

 “Shut up or I’ll eat all of your supply of food” Jaejoong threatened

“Choisonghaeyo, hyung!” Changmin quickly bowed down

Everyone laughed and Jaejoong shook his head “Let’s go, Hyeri” he wrapped his arms around your waist

You waved at them “Mianhae”

“Ani, it’s okay. Next time, okay?” Junsu said

You nodded “Next time”

Jaejoong drove you home

He parked the car and you both went to your room

You unlocked the door and opened it

Your eyes rounded when you saw Hyemi on the floor near the dining table, playing with her dolls

“Hyemi!!!” you ran to her, getting on your knees and hugged her tight

“Unni!!” she beamed

“Hyemi, you’re back…” you cried

Jaejoong watched you and couldn’t help but to smile

Hyemi noticed Jaejoong was there “Oh! Jaejoong-oppa!”

You slowly let go of her and turned your head to Jaejoong

He softly smiled

“Should I leave?” he asked

You shook your head “No, stay. I want you here” you said

He came to you and Hyemi, he kneeled down and hugged the two of you

“This is a happy ending, right?” you said

“Ending? It’s only just the beginning” Jaejoong said

Hyemi giggled

 

The three of you broke the hug

You stood up “I’ll go make something to eat”

“Um” Jaejoong nodded “I’ll play with Hyemi, groarrr” he began tickling Hyemi

You smiled at the two of them

You were about to turn around to go into the kitchen but noticed a piece of paper on the dining table

“Hm?” you walked towards the table and reached for the piece of paper

You unfolded it and read it

To Hyeri

               Mianhae, Hyeri

I’ve been a total all this time

I never hurt your sister, she was always kept safe and sound, so don’t worry

I told my people to drop her off here, so when you come home she’d be a surprise for you

              Once again, mianhae, Hyeri.

             I don’t expect you to forgive me, but still, I hope you do.

Jessica

“What is it, Hyeri?” Jaejoong stopped and asked you

“It’s a letter… From Jessica”

“Jessica? What is it about?”

“An apology letter”

“Apology?” he was surprised “From Jessica?”

You nodded “Why?”

“Nothing, it’s just that she never does that. She’s changed, huh?”

“Probably” you stood up

“Maybe it’s because of Donghae”

“Donghae?”

“Yeah, Donghae. I think they’re dating now”

“Ehh??”

“What’s wrong? You’re not… jealous, are you…?”

You rolled your eyes and walked to the kitchen

“Yah! Lee Hyeri!”

“Oppa, stop shouting!” Hyemi hit Jaejoong’s abs

“Owww Hyemi you’re getting more violent just like your sister” Jaejoong said in a low voice

“Yah! Who are you calling violent?!” you yelled from the kitchen

Jaejoong flinched

Hyemi giggled

"Dork" both you and Hyemi muttered

"Yah! You two!"

You went to the kitchen and began preparing the dinner

Hyemi stuck her tongue out

"Oh so you're challenging me now, eh Hyemi?" Jaejoong slowly went closer to Hyemi

"O-oppa.." Hyemi backed away

"You're gonna feel the wrath the mighty tickle monster!!!" Jaejoong began tickling Hyemi

Hyemi was rolling on the ground while Jaejoong ticked her

"Un-unnii!!! Jaejoong oppa is killing me!!!" Hyemi shouted, giggling from the continuous tickling

"Kim Jaejoong you better not kill her!" you shouted from the kitchen as you prepared the food
