Chapter 49 – Cold

Recap:

"Un-unnii!!! Jaejoong oppa is killing me!!!" Hyemi shouted, giggling from the continuous tickling

"Kim Jaejoong you better not kill her!" you shouted from the kitchen as you prepared the food

The three of you had dinner, it was a simple dinner, but Jaejoong loved it

After the dinner, Jaejoong stayed for a while to play with Hyemi

You watched them play and you couldn’t help but to smile the whole time

He’s such a nice guy

 

It was already late

Hyemi yawned “Oppa, I’m sleepy” she rubbed her eye

“Wanna go to bed?” Jaejoong asked

Hyemi nodded

“Okay then” he picked Hyemi up and placed her on the bed

He pulled the blanket over her and fixed it

“Sleep tight” he ruffled her hair

Then she went to sleep

Jaejoong turned around to you and found you smiling

“What’s so funny?” he asked

“Nothing” you made your way to him

You wrapped your arms around his neck and he wrapped his arms around your waist

You kissed his cheek “Aren’t you going home?” you asked

“You want me to go home already?”

“Well… What are you gonna do here, anyway?”

“Do you have any ideas?” he asked

You shook your head

He pouted “Fine. I’ll go home”

You laughed “Unless you want to share that single bed with me and Hyemi” You peered over his shoulders

Jaejoong looked back

He couldn’t help but to feel bad

She’s the girl I love the most, yet she lives in a tin can and shares a single bed with her sister

He frowned then turned back to you

“Move in with me” he said

Your eyebrows furrowed “Why?”

“You don’t deserve to live here”

You chuckled “And why is that?”

“Just look at this place”

You sighed “No, Jaejoong. It’s okay. I’m happy living here”

“Well, I’m not”

“I told you, it’s okay. Only when it collapses, I’ll take your offer. As long as it’s still decent, I don’t have a problem living in it”

He frowned “Are you really okay with this?”

You smiled and nodded “Don’t worry”

He sighed and gave up “Fine”

 

Then Jaejoong went home

The next day…

 

You dropped Hyemi off at the daycare then went to school

Jaejoong was waiting for you at the gate, girls waving and smiling at him

Yeah, he was still that popular. Even though he was with you, girls didn’t stop coming to him and try to snatch him away. It ticked you off

But Jaejoong always ignored them, because in his eyes, there were only you

“Jaejoong-ah” you called from afar, making him notice you

You ran towards him

“Yah, Lee Hyeri. I told you I could pick you up”

“No thanks, I like exercising in the morning”

 “Aish…” he hissed “Anyway, let’s go before the school bell ring” he took your hand and dragged you to the school

 

It was time to go home and Jaejoong wanted to drive you home, but you declined his offer

“Are you sure?” he asked

You nodded “I don’t like riding in cars, it feels weird. It’s better to walk”

“You weird girl”

“Weird?!”

“Yeah, weird!”

You rolled your eyes “erted jerk”

“I know I am” he smirked

You laughed “Drive safe, okay?”

He nodded “I’ll come to your house later”

“You don’t need to”

“But I want to”

You sighed “Fine”

Hyemi was still at the daycare and you didn’t have to pick her up until 5. It was still 3

You decided to take a warm shower since the weather was really cold that day

You turned the shower on and let the warm water drench your body

You let out an exhale

It felt so good and relaxing, but then the water turned icy cold

You quickly turned it off

“What the hell?”

But you weren’t finished with your shower, so you had no choice but to bathe in cold water

Your body that was warm was now freezing cold because of the water

“…” you muttered as you reached for your towel

You wrapped yourself in it and dried yourself

You grabbed a sweater and jeans and you put them on

You went inside the living room to turn on the heater but it wouldn’t turn on

“AISH!” you kicked it

You were now freezing cold, you searched for a blanket and wrapped yourself in it to warm you down

“It’s f-f-ing c-c-cold” you shivered

Then you heard a knock on the door

You walked towards the door, still wrapped in your blanket and opened the door

“N-n-ne?” you shivered

“Omo! Hyeri!” Jaejoong’s eyes widened when he saw you at that state
