Chapter 50 – Princesses

Recap:

You walked towards the door, still wrapped in your blanket and opened the door

“N-n-ne?” you shivered

“Omo! Hyeri!” Jaejoong’s eyes widened when he saw you at that state

“What happened?!!” he pushed you inside and wrapped his arms around your body

“And why the hell is it so cold in here?!” he looked around

“Well… my w-w-water heater broke d-d-down… and so did m-my heater” you still managed to let out a laugh in front of him

You both sat down on the floor

He held your arms and slightly pushed you to make you face him “You babo!!! What if you freeze to death, huh?!!”

“M-mian…” you looked down

His temper quickly calmed down and he softened. He pulled you and held you tight

One of his hand was wrapping your body and the other your hair

“Aish, I told you, you should move in with me!”

“But I’m f-fine”

“What part of this is fine to you?!”

“J-jae.. I-”

He was getting impatient because of your stubbornness “You could’ve frozen to death!! Why can’t you just listen to what I say?!!”

“Because…” you searched for a reason but you couldn’t find one

“You’re moving in with me, Hyemi is too. No buts. And are you still working those two jobs?”

You nodded slowly

“Quit”

“But then what can I do for a living?!”

He pushed you lightly and looked at you straight in the eyes “You have me. I have more than enough to make you two live like princesses”

You sighed. You didn’t want to move in with him because you’d feel like you’d be a burden to him, you had a little sister too. You had to pay for her school fees and yours. You had to pay for your meals. And now, Jaejoong was asking you to quit your job and live with him. That meant he had to pay for all your and your sister’s needs. You didn’t want that

“I’ll move in with you” you stated

His face brightened

You exhaled “But I won’t quit my job”

His expression changed “Quit”

“No!”

“Why not?!”

“If I quit, then who’s gonna pay for my and Hyemi’s needs?!”

“Isn’t that obvious? Me! I told you I could make you two live like princesses!”

“I don’t want that, Jaejoong…” you finally said it

He raised an eyebrow “You don’t want to?”

You nodded “I don’t want to live like a princess, I want to live like any other normal girl…”

“But you’re not normal, you’re special” he cupped your face and rubbed your cheeks with his thumbs

You smiled weakly

“If you don’t want to quit working, I’ll give you a job. I won’t let you work in a place where drunkards and erted ajussis all hang out, it’s dangerous”

You chuckled “I’ve been fine all these times” you reasoned

“Don’t be so stubborn! I’ll contact the owner of the club and tell him you can’t work there anymore. And the restaurant you work at too”

“Why? Is the restaurant dangerous?”

“It’s not a restaurant, Hyeri. It’s a cosplay café. I don’t like you wearing such little maid outfits with those stupid bunny ears. Why did you pick jobs where you have to wear bunny ears?! Do you like them that much?!”

You laughed weakly

“My point is, I don’t want you to work at a place where I don’t feel at ease. I’ll give you a decent job, with a decent wage. You don’t have to worry about anything else, you have me now, okay?”

You smiled and nodded “Thank you, Jaejoong” you hugged him

“Anything for my princess” he hugged you back
