Chapter 55 – Your Happy Ending

“Besides, you look hot proposing to me wearing only jeans” you chuckled

10 years later…

There was a knock on the door, so you went and answered it

“Unni!” a 20 year old Hyemi was waiting in front of the door with a wide smile plastered on her face

“Hyeri!!” Donghae, Yoochun, Junsu, Yunho and Changmin shouted together

They were all bringing their kids there and their wives too

“ You guys are here! Come in!” you stepped aside to give them a way in

 “Waahh… Unni, this place hasn’t changed!” Hyemi said while examining the house

Jaejoong sent Hyemi to New York to pursue her dreams of being a fashion designer when she was 19. She’s been coming here twice a year

 “Ajumma!” the kids came running to you and hugged your legs

You squatted down “Annyeong, Baekhyun, Yumi, Jaekyung, Juwon, Jihyun” you smiled while patting their heads

Baekhyun was Yunho’s 5 year old son, Yumi and Jaekyung were Yoochun’s 4 year old twin daughters,  Juwon was Junsu’s 5 year old son and Dongwoon was Donghae's 5 year old son

Joon was 6 years old, and Jihye was 5 years old

Changmin hasn’t had a child yet, but they were expecting

“You guys are all so cute” you said

“Ajumma, where’s Joon and Jihye?” Baekhyun asked

“They’re playing in the play room” you told him

“Can we go there?” he asked again

“Of course” you smiled

They let go of you and ran to the play room

“Yah! You kids! Don’t run so quickly!” Yunho yelled

“Aish these kids” he hissed

“Let them be, Yunho. They’re excited to play” you told him

You saw Changmin’s wife, Tiffany “Omona, you’re tummy’s already this big” your eyes rounded while examining her big belly

She chuckled “It’s been 8 months. I can’t wait for this baby boy to come out” she said

“Urgh, you can say that because you haven’t experienced the pain of giving birth” Jessica said

“Yeah, it’s a pain in the ” Yuri, Yunho’s wife said

“But what matters is the result, right?” Tiffany said “Me and Changmin are so behind all of you guys” she frowned

“Aww… This is all Changmin’s fault” you said

“Mwo?! Why me?!” a shocked Changmin exclaimed

“Yes, you! You wanted to have Tiffany all to yourself first, right? That’s why you didn’t want to have children back then” you said

Changmin scratched the back of his head “Well… Heheh”

Yuri was Yunho’s wife, Taeyeon was Junsu’s wife, Yoona was Yoochun’s wife and Tiffany was Changmin’s wife. And all of you must have known, Jessica was Donghae’s wife

“Where’s Jaejoong, Hyeri?” Yoochun asked

“He’s cooking” you answered “Come on, let’s go to the backyard”

They followed you to the backyard

There are already two wooden picnic tables set with all the plates, cups and all the other stuff. One for the adults and one for the children

“Sit, I’ll go check on Jaejoong” you said

Then you went to the kitchen

You saw Jaejoong was busy cooking and you smiled softly “Smells good, Jae” you said as you made your way to him

“I know” he laughed

“They’re all here already. I’ll help you prepare” you told him

“Thanks. Prepare me a large bowl and 4 large plates” he ordered and you did as he told

Then you sat at the stool, watching him with your hands cupping your face

“You’re a way better cook than I am” you said

“It’s a natural born talent” he grinned, still cooking 3 dishes at once

“Aigoo, you’re so full of yourself”

He laughed then he turned around, holding two pans and plated them

He turned around again to grab the other pans and plated them as well

There were salad, beef, chicken and 2 types of pasta

“What’s for dessert?” you asked

“Well, it’s your favorite” he said while grinning

“My favorite… I don’t think I have a favorite dessert”

“Then, I know you better than you know yourself”

You laughed

“Help me carry these” he told you

You got up and helped him

The dishes have been set up

The children have seated and everyone was having a great time eating Jaejoong’s amazing dishes and laughing with each other

“Jihye-ya~ Jihye~~” Dongwoon called for your daughter but she wouldn’t reply, instead she just continued eating her spaghetti

Dongwoon pouted. But then he got an idea, he got up of his seat and went to search for something

Jaejoong caught the scene and couldn’t help but to laugh “Hey, guys. Look at Donghae’s son trying to flirt with my daughter”

“Ehh?!” Donghae quickly turned around

Jihye was peacefully eating, she wasn’t talking to anyone. She just ate quietly

Then Dongwoon came with a flower in his hands “Jihye-ya, this is for you” he held up the pink flower

Jihye turned her head “No thanks. I don’t like flowers” she went back to eating

Dongwoon pouted and then took his seat again, which was next to Jihye

“She takes after you, Hyeri” Jaejoong said

“What? Me?!”

“Look at her coldness. Brrr…” Jaejoong shivered “But Joon takes after me, look at how cheerful he is. And a player too at that” he smirked

You all turned your attention to where Joon was

And Jaejoong was right. He was surrounded by the girls

“Urgh” you groaned “I have a playboy as my son as well” you face palmed yourself

They all laughed

"And Donghae! Tell your son, he's a thousand years too early to be targetting my daughter" Jaejoong said to Donghae

"Mwo?!! Yah!" Donghae yelled

 

You smiled at the scene

You, your husband and your friends were laughing together. The children were having fun, laughing and giggling

You never thought your life was gonna be like this

It’s a life you could only dream of before you met Jaejoong

One thing for sure

The ice in your heart was melted completely…
