You were alone again at class

You didn't talk to Jaejoong, and so did he

He just kept silent through the whole class

At lunch break, you walked out of class, but found Jaejoong leaning on the wall, talking to Jessica

Jessica saw you and grinned. Jaejoong turned his head and saw you as well

He just had an indifferent expression on his face

It hurt you, his cold expression stabbed your heart

You shut your eyes and turned away. It was too painful to look at him

But Donghae suddenly appeared in front of you

"Oh, Donghae.." your voice was breaking

He saw the tears welling up in your eyes

"Come with me" he grabbed your wrist and dragged you somewhere

Jaejoong saw the whole thing, he grew angrier


"Oppa, stop thinking about that lying . Let's go eat" Jessica said

"Lying ?" he raised an eyebrow

He had to admit, even though he was angry with you, he still loved you

"Who are you to say that, Jessica? Yeah she cheated on me but that doesn't give you the right to call her a . Not when you are one yourself"

"O-oppa.." Jessica was frightened with his sudden act. She thought he had already hated you

"You can say bad things about her, but NOT in front of my face"

"U-Um.." Jessica nodded slowly "Mianhae oppa. Don't be angry with me" she pouted

"Whatever. I'm gonna go eat" he left Jessica, but she followed him

She hugged Jaejoong's arms

Jaejoong was disgusted but then sudddenly an idea came to his mind

Donghae dragged you to the tree

He saw you, and your eyes were welling up in tears, but you held it in

He softened

"Let's sit down.." he led you to the tree

You both sat down against the tree

"Are you okay?" he asked

You shook your head with your eyes still blank, staring at the grass

"Hyeri, mianhae.." he said

You faced him "Why are you apologizing to me?" you questioned

Because it's my fault.. Jessica forced me into this..

"Because I feel like I should apologize. Jaejoong was angry because of me right?"

You shook your head again "No, this isn't your fault. I couldn't be with him anyway.."

Couldn't be with him? What is she talking about? I thought I was the only one being a problem between these two..

Is there another problem besides me?

"What.. do you mean..?"

You forced a smile "We were.. never meant to be, I guess.."

"But-"

"Thanks Donghae" you cut him off

He raised an eyebrow "What for?"

"For being there when nobody was"

Donghae felt his heart sunk

He couldn't do this anymore, seeing you like that, but he had to..

Donghae smiled back "No problem, Hyeri" he patted your head

Donghae looked up at the sky

But then he glanced at you from the corner of his eyes

Your eyes were blank, staring at the grass but tears were running down your cheeks

He felt really bad
