Chapter 32: The answer to my task.
A book of debt
“Tell me.” I tugged him by his sleeves. By his reaction, it seemed to be significant. He did not answer.
“Is it something important?” I asked again.
“Do you really want to know?”
“Neh, I really want to know.”
“Do something to make me happy, then I’ll tell you.”
“You are giving me a challenge? You’ll sure lose, Son Dongwoon.” I smirked.
“We’ll see,”
The invitation of challenge motivated me to plan for something for Dongwoon. I cracked my brain, thinking on ideas to complete my mission. Days went past, the relationship of Dongwoon and Chairman Son improved bit by bit. The physical wounds on Dongwoon also healed.
“Ajumma,” I chomped on a piece of kimbap. I was at Ajumma shop, helping her out in the eatery.
“Yes, Yoora?”
“What makes a person happy?”
“Why do you ask that, Yoora?” Ajumma sat down beside me. I gave an awkward laughter, not knowing how to answer her.
“Different people have different aspects of happiness. Some find it in money, some in family, some in eating, and some in love. It totally depends on who you are dealing with. But, one important point is the person’s heart, what he or she truly like.” Ajumma’s words perfectly made sense.
Ajumma’s words did remind me of something that Dongwoon said before, and it could be the answer to the task. I grinned, this is my answer.
“Yah, Dongwoon,” I grinned at him. We were in class.
“What? You finally thought of an idea?” Dongwoon smirked.
“Actually I do,” I didn’t lose my grin under his threat.
“Going to bring me to Lotte World again?” He teased. I scowled at him.
“No, definitely not.” I pouted.
“Yah, don’t go home.”
“Bwoh?!”
“Yes, don’t go home,”
I grinned, full of confidence my plan would work.
