Chapter 12: Muscle Relief Patches
A book of debt
“Good morning,” I smiled at him, the moment he sat down, beside me. Dongwoon was still in black, today, a white inner tee with a black blazer and his black jeans and boots.
He made a grunting noise, lying down to sleep.
“You are supposed to say good morning too,” I lectured. He ignored me.
“Be nice,” I smacked him in the arms, causing him to look up and stare, but his hand held on his arm. It was a bad sign.
“It hurts?” I stared at him in concern. “You didn’t use the muscle ache relief patches I gave you yesterday?”
“No,” He frowned. “How do I know you didn’t put poison inside the pouch?”
I rolled my eyes at him. He shrugged.
“Morning class! Have you guys completed the assignment?”
“Later,” I mumbled to him.
‘Later’ comes faster than expected. As soon as the teacher announced the class ended for lunch, I took my bag and Dongwoon’s bag, dragging him out altogether.
“Let go,” Dongwoon said as we stopped in front of the changing room that no one used. I found this place while touring around the school. We sat down on the bench in the middle of the room.
“Sorry,” I apologized. I ped my bag and took out muscle relief patches. “Take off your blazer.”
He stuffed his hand in his pocket, unwilling to oblige.
“If you don’t, I will,” I said, pealing the blazer of him.
“Fine, fine! I will do it myself.” Dongwoon defended. He took off the blazer and folded in properly on his lap.
Upon removing his blazer, the curves of his muscles revealed. To me, it seemed perfect, not too much, but still fitted the size of the body nicely. Okay, wait, what was I thinking?
I shook my head, trying to get rid of the thoughts. I pasted the places where I knew would hurt. His, arms, shoulders, his lower back… He stayed absolutely still through the process.
“There you go,” I smiled as I finished.
“How do you know where would hurt?” Dongwoon asked coldly as he put back on his blazer.
“My experience tells me so.” Dongwoon raised an eyebrow at me, giving me the what-are-you-talking-about look.
“Well, because of the book of debt, I used to work at different places. It always ached at those muscles area. So, I guess it is the same for you too. Let’s go,” I took my bag, heading towards the door.
“Thank you,” He whispered softly, as he walked pass me with his bag. But those words won’t escape my ears.
“What did you say?” I , following.
“Nothing,” He fastened his pace.
I giggled, knowing exactly the words that spoke kindness.
