"Kara, I had to do that! Kelangan niyang ayusin muna lahat."

 

"Hay naku Kimmy, ewan ko naman sa'yo, ikaw itong dating humahabol tapos ngayong nahuli mo na, iiwanan mo ulit!"

 

"Ayan ka naman Kara, alam mo naman ang mga nangyari hindi ba?"

 

"Opo! niloloko lang naman kita, para sumaya ang mood! Ang lungkot na nga lang ng environment natin dito sa hospital dahil puro mga may sakit, tapos malungkot din kapag tayo tayo na lang. Ano ba yun? wag ganun, maaga tayo mamamaalam

sa earth nyan."

 

Kim laughed. "Ito na naman po tayo sa pagiging makulit ni Kara Tiara!"

 

"Tama bang sabihin ang totoong pangalan ko?" 

 

"Yan ang gusto ko sa'yo, napapatawa mo ako lagi."

 

"Aba, oo naman. Magalit pa si Papa Gerald sakin."

 

"What did you just say?"

 

Kara covered . "ayan na, nadulas tuloy!"

 

"Kara!" Kim gave her a questioning look.

 

"Hay naku! Paano ba naman to? huli na naman ako. Opo! Gerald's calling me or JM para malaman mga nangyayari sa'yo at saka, bantayan daw kita!"

 

"Bantayan?"

 

"Oo! baka daw kasi magpagod ka na naman sa trabaho. Hay ang sweeeeet ni papa Ge!"

 

"Baliw ka talaga! Akala ko ba kakampi kita, bakit ka naman pumapayag sa utos ng lalaking yun?"

 

"Syempre, ako ang number one fan ng loveteam niyo! Alam ko kayo pa rin sa huli."

 

"At may paloveteam loveteam ka pang nalalaman diyan!"

 

"Kimmy, aminin mo! Kinikilig ka naman e!"

 

"Hindi no! Bahala siya!" she stood up and went to get her bag."

 

"Ano bang plano mo? Hindi mo na talaga siya kakausapin?"

 

Kim went back to her seat. "Ano ba na namang tanong yan Kara?"

 

"I'm just asking, out of curiosity!"

 

"Hay naku! Hindi ko talaga alam. Ayoko munang isipin yan!"

 

"Sige, ikaw ang bahala! Halika na, andiyan na daw yung sundo ko." while checking her phone.

 

"Mauna ka na, nakakahiya naman sa inyo ni JM."

 

"Namimiss mo yung sumusundo sa'yo ano?"

 

Kim smiled. "Ayan ka na naman sa pang-aasar mo."

 

"Joke lang po. Halika na, sabay ka na sa amin. Ihahatid ka namin sa bahay mo. Magagalit ang papa Gerald pag hindi ka namin hinatid."

 

"Hay naku! Mauna na kayo, okay lang ako."

 

"I insist! halika na!"

 

Kim finally agreed.

 

2 months have passed and it seems like everything's getting back to normal for Kim, Gerald expanded his business from New Jersey to New York. He got busy with everything. He's fixing everything so he can go back to the Philippines, win Kim back and will live there for good, build a family with Kim, explore the world with her and their kids, they'll live a happy life! 

 

Kim has been also busy with work. Reconnecting with old friends, meeting new friends and spending quality time with her parents.

 

As early as six in the morning, Kim and Kara with the rest of the team are already inside the OR for a scheduled major operation. Kim has been throwing up since she arrived the hospital but disregarded the symptom and prepared for the upcoming operation. After the operation, she fainted just before she can get out of the door.

 

She's in a room when she woke up, with Kara beside her.

 

"What happened?"

 

"Nahimatay ka bigla, may sakit ka ba?"

 

"I've been throwing up this morning and I have a suspicion that I am pregnant."

 

Kara smiled.

 

"Hey! don't you ever tell Gerald about this!"

 

"But why? I am sure, he's the father!"

 

"Ayokong bumalik siya sakin dahil may responsibilidad siyang dapat gampanan."

 

"Sa lagay mong yan, gusto mo pa ring kusa ang pagbalik ng lover boy mo?"

 

"Hindi pa naman confirmed. I am just suspecting, ilang araw na rin kasing ganito."

 

"You haven't used a pregnancy test yet?"

 

"Not yet!"

 

"Bakit?"

 

she shrugged. "I don't know!"

 

"Kim naman, hindi ba antagal niyong inantay yan ni Ge?"

 

"Yeah! Siguro hindi pa ako makapaniwala kung totoo man, kasi ipinagdasal ko talaga ito. Yun lang wala siyang tatay, ngayong nagkatotoo na."

 

"Meron siyang tatay Kim! Call Gerald! He'd definitely be pleased to know about that."

 

"Kara, that's the last thing I'd do. Promise me not to tell anyone about this, not even JM!"

 

"Ang hirap naman niyan."

 

"Kara, please! Promise me!"

 

"Kahit mangako ako, lalabas at malalaman pa rin niya."

 

"Alam ko, but for now, let's keep this yet. Tutal hindi pa naman confirmed."

 

When Kim got home she confirmed the pregnancy with the pregnancy test which came out to be positive. She went to consult to the OB-Gyne the next day, had an ultrasound and confirmed! she's 2 months pregnant.

 

6 months have passed, Gerald is ready to come home, for good. On a sunny Saturday morning, he arrived at the airport then headed to the Anderson Residence where everybody's waiting for him. He gave everyone a hug, catching up with some of the happenings he missed in the family. After that, they had a family lunch.

 

"Mom, may balita po kayo kay Kim?"

 

"She calls once in a while, just to say hi and to let us know she's doing fine. That's all!"

 

"Ate, have you met up and went shopping with her lately?"

 

"Nope, I call her whenever Lyra misses her Tita Kimmy, pero we never went out with her, almost 6 months now."

 

"Anak, hindi ka ba binabalitaan ni JM or Kara?"

 

"Mom, they do! pero siguro sinabihan sila ni Kim not to disclose too much. Everytime I ask them about Kim, sasabihin okay lang siya."

 

"E why don't you call Kim or better yet puntahan mo."

 

"She's working in the hospital pa rin kaya?"

 

"I think nabanggit ni kim sa akin when Lyra and I last called her few days ago na she filed a leave

from work."

 

"Where does she lives now?"

 

"I think she got a condo unit malapit lang sa hospital, that was two months ago."

 

"Ate, did she tell you the details or her exact address?"

 

"I didn't ask, hindi ko alam."

 

"Anak, why don't you ask help from kara. For sure she can help you! She's Kim's confidant."

 

"I will Mom! Is it okay if I will leave after lunch? I am dying to see my wife and get her back!"

 

Mommy Vangie smiled. "Dadalhin mo

siya dito pag nagkita na kayo anak ha?"

 

"For sure mom!"

 

Gerald went to find for Kara an hour after their lunch.

 

"O Ge! Kelan ka pa dumating?"

 

"Kanina lang." he smiled at her.

 

"Mabuti naman at nandito ka, are you staying here for good?"

 

"Yeah! and I am going to get my wife back! Kaya rin ako nandito."

 

"Pero wala siya ngayon dito, she's on a leave!"

 

"Yun na nga e! I am sure you know where to find her."

 

She sighed. "Ge, mapapatay ako ng kaibigan ko!"

 

"Please Kara, akong bahala na lang sa'yo."

 

"Sige na nga, Ge I think it's the right time for you to know. Naaawa na kasi ako sa kaibigan ko."

 

"What do you mean?"

 

"Ibibigay ko na lang ang exact address niya, do you have a car with you? walking distance from here lang."

 

"Oo, may dala akong sasakyan."

 

"Okay, halika muna sa office. Sketch ko na lang."

 

"Thanks kara!"

 

Kara sketched the direction going to Kim's place.

 

Gerald asked the front desk when he reached the place.

 

"Miss, I am going to Kim Anderson's unit."

 

"Sir, tawagan po muna namin si Ma'am Kim sa unit niya kung nandun."

 

"Ah, no need miss. Ako na ang bahala."

 

After signing in on the log book, he went to the 2nd floor, he reached unit 2B and pressed the doorbell. Kim's busy cooking so she didn't bother to check who's the visitor and just opened the main door.

 

Kim was so shocked, but Gerald is a hundred times shocked than her of what he saw. "She's pregnant?" he thought.
