That same night, she met up with JM.

"Kim, Gerald called me up 3 days ago. He was trying to let me help him with the annulment papers, I said I can't. Mapapatay ako ni Kara at saka ayoko namang ako pa ang maging dahilan ng hiwalayan ninyo, you're both close to my heart and I can't do that to you."

Kim smiled. "Thank you JM, pero tinuloy pa rin niya. Mama received the annulment papers from him para ibigay sa akin."

"I guess he asked our friend, Krizzia to help him out with this."

Kim shook her head. "Hindi na mahalaga kung sinong tumulong sa kanya. I need to find him. Wala ba talaga siyang nabanggit sa iyo?"

"Wala Kim, ayaw niya rin ipasabi sa iyo na tumawag siya at nakikipag-usap sa akin."

"So you're still in touched?"

"Yes, but the last time he called was 3 days ago. He's using different numbers."

She sighed. "Talagang tinataguan niya ako."

"Hindi naman siguro, magpapakita rin yun in time."

"I hope so."

"Kim, you might want to consider this as an option."

She looked at him. "What is it?"

"Alam ko kung sino ang makapagtuturo kung nasaan si Gerald."

"Sino?"

"Si Sandra!"

Kim bowed down.

"I don't know how to contact her but I'm pretty sure, she knows where to find Gerald. Tinutulungan ni Gerald ang mag-ina hanggang sa magka-trabaho si Sandra. For sure, alam ni Sandra paano matatawagan at kung nasaan si Ge."

"JM, alam mo naman ang sitwasyon namin ni Sandra di ba?"
 

"Oo, just wanted to help you. Yun lang ang nakikita kong paraan para mahanap si Ge."

Kim nodded. "Thank you JM. Send my regards to Kara."

"Mag-iingat ka Kim. I hope this won't take too long at maayos na lahat."

"I'm praying the same JM. Thank you."

She kissed him goodbye and both went separate ways.

Feeling so tired on bed, Kim was thinking if she'd ask help from Sandra. She remembered, Sandra gave her number the last time they talked. She's also thinking of Gerald, where would he be right now. Is he okay? Did he eat already? Until she went to sleep.

The next day, she finally decided to call Sandra.

"Hello, who is this please?"

"Sandra, this is Kim."

"Oh Kim! I'm sorry, may kailangan ka ba?"

"Sandra you know how hard it is for me to do this pero wala na talaga akong alam na pwedeng mapagtanungan."

"Kim, tungkol kay Gerald ba ito?"
 

"Yes. Alam mo ba kung nasaan siya at paano siya pwedeng kontakin?" she went straight to the point.

Sandra sighed. "Kim, I promised Gerald not to tell anyone regarding his whereabouts."

"I know! he doesn't want to see me, I guess."

"Pero anlaki ng kasalanan ko sa inyo ni Gerald. Kaya magalit na kung magalit si Ge sa akin, but I need to do things right. Sa dami ng kabutihang natanggap ko mula sa asawa mo, gusto ko naman sanang tulungan kayong maayos ang sa inyo."

Kim silently cried on the other line. "Sandra, you don't know how this means a lot to me, thank you!"

"Kulang pa yan na pambayad ko sa kasalanang nagawa ko sa iyo, sa inyo. If you have a paper and a pen beside you, here's his number and address." Kim wrote as Sandra dictated.

"Thank you again Sandra."

"No big deal Kim, I hope and pray that soon, you'll be back together."

"Kimmy! how are you? natutulog ka pa ba?" Kara hugged her when she entered the doctor's lounge for duty.

She smiled. "Oo naman. Syempre kailangan pa rin naman ng tulog para mabuhay."

"Anong balita kay Gerald?"
 

"Nasa California siya."

"Whaaat?"

Kim nodded. "I talked to Sandra, binigay niya yung contact number at kung nasaan si Ge."

"Anong plano mo? Have you tried calling him?"
 

"Hindi pa, natatakot ako baka hindi siya sumagot."

"Atleast try. Malay natin di ba?"

That night Kim called the number Sandra gave her. Answering machine welcomed her. "Mautak talaga ang loko, hindi basta basta sumasagot sa telepono." she thought..And decided not to leave a message for him.

She tried living normally for the next 5 days but something in her seems like exploding. She feels incomplete without Gerald and knowing that she has to be blame for this, in a way she can't just do that. She just can't forget about Gerald.

"Ano? bakit mo kakausapin ang medical director?"

"Kara, desperada na ako! Kailangan ko si Gerald."

"So anong ipapaki-usap mo sa boss natin ha?"

"Mag-papa assign ako sa California."

"What? like 2 years ka doon?"

"Oo, siguro naman sa tagal ng panahon na yun, magkikita na kami at magkakausap ni Gerald."

"Hay Kim, alam ko naman hindi ka papapigil."

"Kara naman, alam mo kung gaano ko kamahal si Ge, hindi ko kakayaning mawala siya sa akin!"

"I know. I wish you well. Basta lagi kang tumawag sa amin dito. Hayaan mo, may awa ang Diyos, hindi Niya kayo hahayaang maghiwalay nang ganun lang."

Kim smiled. "Salamat Kara. ikaw ang isa sa mga nagpapalakas ng loob ko ngayon."

Kara hugged her. "nandito ako lagi para sa iyo Kim, sa inyo ni Ge."

Kim talked to the medical director, she has to process everything in two months before she can leave for California. She talked to her parents about it and they wished her well.

She doesn't know what awaits her there but one thing is for sure--she'll never give up on Gerald! She will do everything for him.
