“Ka Eun…”

“No, don’t even say a single word.”

“No, Ka Eun – you’ve got it all wrong-”

“What is wrong? Yet, what is right? I saw everything right in front of me Jong In-”

“Hush, don’t say another word, love.”

                    “You think saying that will make everything better, Jong In?”

“…I love you Ka Eun.”

-from the drama that Chae Rin & Kyu Hyun are watching-

“Yawn!” The girl slouching on the couch let out a visible yawn and her best friend glanced over at her with straight stare.

The girl stretched her arms out and grabbed a pillow from the side. “Really, Chae Rin? Really?” The guy blinked at her slowly and clicked his tongue in disapproval.

“It’s not my fault most of these dramas are predictable, Kyu Hyun.” Chae Rin pointed out as a matter of fact.

Kyu Hyun grabbed the remote and turned down the volume on the TV.“This is probably the third drama you’ve almost fallen asleep to.” He stated while rolling his eyes.

“Again, not my fault you have horrible taste in movies.” Chae Rin said while pointing a finger at her friend.

Kyu Hyun shook his head. “Sigh…wait, HEY!” He then snapped his gaze to the girl and gave her a glare.

“Heh-” Chae Rin turned away and chuckled.

“Aish, this girl.” Kyu Hyun muttered under his breath.

“Besides-” Chae Rin pouted and said, “I don’t understand why girls are always swooning over these Korean dramas. They all have the same dumb plotlines. You have that ditzy main girl, then you have that so-called ‘y’ main guy-” Chae Rin began to ramble on about her dislike for dramas. Kyu Hyun sat back and watched his best friend in amusement. He always did like that spark in her eyes when she is in a debate. That’s one of her traits that he enjoyed seeing. It made her shine and different from the other girls that he’s met.

“-then in the end, they get into one last stupid argument and the guy comes back to his senses that he is deeply in love with the girl. The girl cries from happiness, the guy sweeps her off her feet with a fancy-shmancy kiss and BOOM. You got a wedding and a baby fell from the heavens. Champagne will rain down on all over and you have a happy ending.” Chae Rin crossed her arms and sat back on the couch.

Kyu Hyun raised an eyebrow and let out a laugh at his friend’s theory. Chae Rin looked at him and said, “What? You know it’s true.”

Kyu Hyun scooted over to the girl and looked at her in the eye. The girl’s eyes blinked slowly and looked back at him. A silent moment had surrounded the two and Chae Rin didn’t know what was actually going on.

Kyu Hyun’s lips formed a smile and he saw the confusion in the girl’s eyes. He raised a hand and reached out to Chae Rin.

Chae Rin’s eyes grew wide for a second and then she shut her eyes. She felt a soft and gentle brush against her forehead. She felt her bangs being moved to the side and then a soft pair of lips had landed on the side of her cheek.

Chae Rin’s eyes fluttered open and she saw Kyu Hyun backing up. She saw that he was still smiling, yet his cheeks were bright pink. She raised a hand to where he had just kissed her.

“K-Kyu Hyun…” Chae Rin whispered out.

“Honestly, I don’t know if I can make it rain champagne or we’ll get married – I-I mean…well…I want to get married but…I…” Kyu Hyun stuttered while trying to explain, but suddenly Chae Rin placed a finger on his lips. Kyu Hyun stopped speaking and saw Chae Rin’s cheeks turning bright pink as well.

“Hush, don’t say another word, love.” Chae Rin recited from the drama that they were watching earlier.

“W-what? A-are you really saying that?” Kyu Hyun was taken back and then raised an eyebrow. Chae Rin backed off of Kyu Hyun and grinned.

“Heh, I thought it would work.” Chae Rin laughed out softly.

“If anything, it didn’t work.” Kyu Hyun nudged her.

“Oh poo.” Chae Rin let out a yawn.

“But…it was a good attempt.” Kyu Hyun laughed.

“Oh shush, don’t even think about trying to make everything better by saying that.” Chae Rin glared at him and turned away.

Kyu Hyun looked at her and then looked over at the screen to seeing the two main characters kissing each other in the forest. “Chae Rin.” Kyu Hyun called to the girl.

“Hm?” The girl shifted her eyes from the TV screen and back to her best friend.

“I like you, very much.” Kyu Hyun confessed and stared at the girl in front of him. He saw that she was looking back at him. Her expression was pure shock but her lips slowly formed into a smile.

“This is where I’m supposed to say it back, right?” Chae Rin whispered to him.

“Mmm…yeah unless you don’t feel the same way?” Kyu Hyun nervously said.

Without hesitating, she said, “I like you too, Kyu Hyun.”

Kyu Hyun looked into her eyes and saw the same gentle twinkle in them. “Heh, should I make it rain champagne?” Kyu Hyun teasingly asked.

Chae Rin shook her head and went closer to him, “Nah, I rather just cuddle with you.” She laid in his arms.

“Heh, you are something, aren’t you Kim Chae Rin?” Kyu Hyun wrapped his arms around his new girlfriend and didn’t let go.

“Well let’s be honest Cho Kyu Hyun, you’re stuck with me forever and ever.” Chae Rin beamed.

Kyu Hyun placed another kiss on her head and whispered, “I would enjoy every single second of that.”
