“Let’s just end this,” The girl said while standing in the middle of the crossroads with an umbrella. The rain poured as the flower-boy stood there with a baffled expression. He didn’t know what to say or do. “Love can’t continue this way if I’m the only one who is in love.” She spoke to him.

“H-Hye Shi…” The boy called out to her but it was futile.

“There are so many girls like me in this world.” The girl whispered while walking away with tears pouring down her cheeks. She quietly left her boyfriend standing there, alone and in the cold.

The fingers brushed over the Save as Draft. The girl sat there on the park bench. With tear stained cheeks, she didn’t know what else to do with her life. With her free time, she would usually hang out at home or with her group of friends.

Oppa, where are you? I’m at the park. Will you come and meet me?

Lips trembling and the ache in her heart grew. The girl gulped as she thought back to the horrid memory that was burned in her mind.

Hye Shi walked with her three friends: Lu Han, Jin Ae and Chen. Jin Ae wanted to check out this new bar that was popular in town. As the four walked, they passsed a pricy but beautiful restaurant that was across the street. As they walked pass, Lu Han leaned towards Hye Shi.

“Don’t look now, but isn’t that Baek Hyun?” Lu Han pointed to the boy who was sitting outside with an unfamiliar girl.

“Huh? That is Baek Hyun…I thought you told us that he was working, Hye Shi.” Jin Ae turned to the girl and saw that she was shocked at the scene. Hye Shi watched as Baek Hyun placed his hand on his date’s hand.

“I-I texted him and he said he…he was…” Hye Shi stuttered as Lu Han placed a hand on his friend’s shoulder. The group of friends watched as Baek Hyun’s date leaned closer and kissed him from across the table.

“Ew-” Jin Ae gagged. “What a lying, two-timing, pretty-faced jerk wad.” Jin Ae huffed.

“I don’t understand why Baek Hyun would lie to you.” Chen shook his head.

“YAH! BYUN BAEK HYUN!” Jin Ae shouted with all of her might.

“Jin Ae! Shh!” Chen held his girlfriend’s hand.

As soon as he heard his name being called, Baek Hyun looked over and saw Chen glaring directly at him. Jin Ae, on the other hand was sticking her middle finger at him. The horrified boy gasped and saw Hye Shi’s distressed expression. The girl got out Lu Han’s grasp and ran off down the street.

“Hye Shi!” Lu Han chased after the girl and left the duo behind.

Oppa, I love you very much. Do you love me too?

The girl’s fingers traced her lower lip. She bit her lip and felt her hands tremble. “Our hearts…are not one anymore.” Hye Shi whispered to herself. “They both have dreaded far from each other…” Her eyes were filled up with tears once again.

Oppa, whatever happens, I’ll love you for all eternity. Will you do the same?

“Hye Shi.”  

“B…Baek Hyun…”

The boy stood there from the girl’s right side. He looked out of breath and was staring directly at her. “Where have you been? I’ve been looking for you.” He questioned as the girl was speechless.

As the boy proceed towards her she went into alert and said, “D-don’t come closer.”

“Hye Shi, why did you want to break up?” Baek Hyun didn’t listen but continued closer to the girl.

“D-don’t…” The girl yelped out as she shook her head.

Baek Hyun stood in front of the girl. “Hye Shi, you know that I love you.” He bent down to the girl and took her hands.

“Don’t say my name-” Hye Shi whispered to him. “Please don’t tell me that you love me.”

“Hye Shi, what are you talking about?” He brushed his fingertips against the girl’s hand.

“Enough! I don’t want to play this game anymore!” The girl exclaimed as she shoved the ex-lover off of her. She irrupted up from her seat and stood firmly in her spot.

“I admit, Baek Hyun, that you are my first love. I was stubbornly in love with you that I didn’t want to let you go. I was foolishly greedy with this love that…I didn’t realize that your heart and my heart were so different.” She explained to him.

“Hye Shi…are you…” Baek Hyun didn’t get the chance to finish his sentence.

“I can’t do this anymore, you deserve someone better than me. I can’t hold onto you anymore. Just…just go and walk away, Baek Hyun.” The girl stated while pointing in a different direction. “In this relationship, I can’t be the only one that is deeply in love. You might as well walk away from this relationship. Get out of my life.” She said while turning away from the boy who was shaking his head.

“Hye Shi, please don’t…” He begged the girl.

“Now, I’ll let you go – just forget a girl like me. Now you don’t have to deal with a nuisance in your life anymore.” Hye Shi walked away from the bench that she was sitting on. She left the boy stunned in his spot.

With tears dropping from her eyes, she held a smile on her lips. Her heart was now light and not heavy anymore. Even if tears were falling, she felt happy that she wasn’t tied to him anymore.

Oppa, please live well without me.

Just go because…it’s not too late.
