[CONTENTID1]Up for movies…?[/CONTENTID1]

[CONTENTID2]

ping!

Eunjoo's heart jumped at the sound. She would have said it soared, but that was exaggerating too much. She shouldn't even feel something from a message. But then again, something about their late night conversation the other night did mess with her a bit:

ping!

gingerkookies to injoory:
-where do you want to go today?

injoory to gingerkookies:
- i don't know. wherever? you pick.

ping! The reply came in seconds after, something that confused Eunjoo even more.

gingerkookies to injoory:
- how about movies? i'll pick you up tonight?

injoory to gingerkookies:
- movies sounds fine, but i have plans tonight.

Eunjoo immediately locked her phone, the screen turning black. She sprawled her limbs on her bed, mindlessly staring at the ceiling, as she waited for Jungkook's later reply.

Maybe she should have added that her plans for that night was very important and that they can do something else that morning. But before she could do that, her phone pinged again.

ping!

gingerkookies to injoory:
-we can watch it before your plans. morning or afternoon?

Eunjoo stood up, making her way to her dresser blindly because she was still focused on her phone.

injoory to gingerkookies:
- somewhere in between. lunchtime? i'll be at the convenience store.

She laid her phone on the nearest table after he sent her message. Eunjoo then opened up the doors to her cabinet and sighed. She bit her lip and situated her tongue somewhere in between the wire and her actual tooth. Now, what was she going to wear?

+++

Eunjoo, after hours of contemplating and changing, had managed to dress herself in a simple white jumper skirt and a pink sleeveless button up as a top. Going for a more casual look, she took a white beanie, a peach leather backpack, and a pair of white sneakers.

She did arrive at the convenience store exactly at 12 noon, only to find that Jungkook was by the tables outside the store with a lollipop in his mouth.

As she approached, Eunjoo thought she had dressed too much especially when Jungkook was wearing a simple large white shirt, a pair of black men's shorts, and his trusty Timberlands. Or maybe, she was a bit underdressed because Jungkook looked that attractive.

She braced herself, at the metal brackets in both her top and bottom teeth, before she continued to approach him.

Jungkook had been playing on his phone, his other hand ruffling his raven blue hair from time to time, when he saw a pair of familiar white sneakers appear on the ground in front of his favorite footwear.

He had not expected that he would arrive earlier, but he wasn't really annoyed at Eunjoo making him wait for her unlike what his ex-girlfriends did. Besides, he had just arrived minutes ago. And, Eunjoo arriving 15 minutes later than he was very much preferable over his previous one-hour waiting time.

Jungkook didn't have to pause and look up to confirm her arrival. And so, he stood up, taking in Eunjoo's appearance. As he gestured Eunjoo that they be on their way, he thought that maybe he should have worn one of the outfits he tried out earlier because now he felt so underdressed for their date.

+++

Jungkook enjoyed talking to Eunjoo. Truthfully, he liked speaking and listening to her.

The way she spoke was balanced, except the fact that she speaks a bit too quietly. But other than that, their phone conversation was very nice.

Eunjoo was as minimal to words as he is. She was very careful and formal, but Jungkook oddly found that cute especially with her occasional lisp.

His preference in girls was very random. Sometimes, he liked rowdy and rebellious girls. But, most of the time he picked those quiet shy ones, but when they do start to get comfortable with him they usually get whiny and clingy. He'd even got the chance to date those y (sorry for the term, Seokjin-hyung) queenkas, but he never did let it last long.

Maybe he should have at least tried to talk like this to his girlfriend in the beginning, he thought as he listened to Eunjoo tell him that Taehyung is texting her at that moment though she wasn't going to reply.

He never thought that Eunjoo had this kind of side where she teases her friends, but it didn't seem so bad as he found a company when he thinks of pranking Taehyung.

"If you want, I can tell Tae to stop bothering you." He said.

"Oh, no. He isn't being a bother. I just kind of let that slip out of my mouth..."

Jungkook chuckled, rolling on his bed onto his stomach, "But, he is being a bother, to me."

"Oh? What is he doing to you?"

"Oh, he's kind of threatening me with you. Taehyung asks me to do this and that and if I don't he's reporting to you. And, you know what's the funniest thing about this?"

A moment of silence passed by, and Eunjoo just realized Jungkook wanted her to ask him, "What?"

"I comply somehow because of you."

Jungkook flinched. He didn't mean to sound like a flirt. He wasn't even trying to coquet. Yeah, he's a sweet-talker, but he knew when to open his sugary mouth.

Smoothly taking care of the impending awkward atmosphere, Jungkook quickly spoke, "Where did you go tonight?"

A moment of silence and a sigh later, Eunjoo replied: "Baekhyun and I went out to eat. It has always been a tradition of ours that he buys me food after I get over my adjustment-pain."

"What did you two eat?" He poked at his pale arm, keeping a mental note to himself to go to the gym whenever possible - as soon as possible.

"Lamb skewers. Oh, they were heavenly!"

Jungkook chuckled at Eunjoo's unexpected outburst (and peculiar choice of adjectives), and laughed even more when the girl stuttered as she was trying to apologize. "I love lamb skewers too. Yoongi often asks me to eat them with him."

There was a muted 'oh' from the other line and soon they had fallen to another pregnant silence.

Jungkook heard some shuffling from the other line, probably Eunjoo shifting in her bed. And so, he mimick

Chapter 43: This story is so nice but sometimes i feel that you have focused too heavily on Jungkook and Eunjoo and that the timelines were confusing. Still, this story is pretty cute and all fluff :-)
