Narrator POV

Wonho opened his eyes.

He stared at the familiar ceiling in the familiar bed under the familiar blankets surrounded by the unfamiliar aroma of spearmint. Probably a girl’s perfume, and he’d smelt plenty of those before. Blinking twice, he sat up and rubbed his eyes taking in the same surroundings with different accessories. This room used to be empty. Now, every single shelf was full. 

Crawling out of bed, he walked to the life size Ahn Jaehyun poster on the door before proceeding to turn the knob. 

“Hey,” his best friend Hyungwon waited in the hall across. 

“Hey,” Wonho greeted, his head still buzzing from the hangover, “Why decorate the room?” 

Hyungwon smirked. Without answering he poked his head inside and scanned the grounds, “You’re the only one in here?” 

“Yeah,” Wonho replied, “This is my room.” 

Huh, she’s gone. Interesting, Hyungwon felt the corner of his lips cork up, “Not anymore.” 

“What?” Wonho didn’t understand. For as long as he’d known Hyungwon, this room became the place he would crash at whenever he didn’t want to go home. 

“This is my…” Hyungwon felt like he was chewing on cement, “step sister’s room.” 

“Oh,” that explained the poster. Wonho nodded for a few seconds before his head stilled and he realized, “Wait, where is she then?” 

“I should be asking you that,” Hyungwon was fully grinning now. 

“Huh,” Wonho furrowed his eyebrows. He vaguely remembered holding someone to sleep last night but then again, that could have been the night before… or the night before that, falling asleep with a girl in his arms wasn’t unusual for Shin Wonho. 

Wonho gasped. Suddenly, he sprinted to the window and peered his head out urgently. 

“What are you doing?” Hyungwon asked his friend. 

“Making sure that there is not a dead body under here,” although Wonho was pretty sure he didn’t do anything inappropriate last night, he still had to double check. 

“Oh please,” Hyungwon rolled his eyes, “If that brat ever decides to suicide, she’d be sure to inform the whole world ahead of time.”  

“Why didn’t you tell her?” Wonho frowned realising how dangerously close he was to ual harassment. 

Hyungwon shrugged, “I tried.” 

“What if she reports me?!” he asked. 

“She probably doesn’t even know who you are,” Hyungwon patted his buddy on the back, “Chill man.” 

“I can’t!” Wonho pushed the other male away, “Where is she? Are you going to take responsibility if something happens to her?” 

“She is probably at her boyfriend’s,” Hyungwon's tone shone with amusement looking Wonho up and down, “You might want to put on a few more pounds of muscle. I met her boyfriend… and boy was he buff.” 

Wonho rolled his eyes, “How can you still be joking at a time like this?” 

Hyungwon sighed not understanding why Wonho was making such a big deal out of it when he slept with different women on a daily basis. Not wanting to talk about that girl anymore, Hyungwon changed the topic, “C’mon, let’s have breakfast, you have one hour before you need to run to your company meeting.”

“Chae Ara?” the cute amber head boy looked up from his clipboard.
 

“Im Ara,” she didn’t bother hiding her irritation. 

Kihyun glanced at his sheet again, “But it says Ch –…” 

“I think I know my last name better than you,” Ara sighed, “Please fix it on my name tag as well.” 

Kihyun wanted to protest, their company was professional and there was no way they’d make a mistake like this but the look in Ara’s eyes shut him up. 

“Here is your uniform,” he handed Ara a bundle of folded clothing. “You have thirty minutes before accompanying me to the stock meeting.” 

Meeting? But that sounds boring, Ara took the clothes. 

“In the mean time, you can look around, just try not to get into any trouble.” 

No promises, she headed into the change rooms. As soon as she stepped in, a strong arm pulled her into a stall. 

“Crap, you scared me to death!” she scowled. After yesterday’s incident she really became an anti-fan of surprises. 

“Sorry,” Shownu actually looked apologetic. He should have known better. After receiving a phone call at three in the morning, he skipped work and sped through all the red lights to pick her up.
