“So this is the little Hooker’s daughter that latched onto Hyungwon and now you?”

“Grandma…” Wonho pursed his lips while giving the old lady a shoulder massage, “Don’t get mad at Ara, she didn’t do anything wrong. It was my idea.”

“You’re not off the hook either!” the old lady scowled firmly, “I come back from a two month business trip only to find the CEO running around like a blind goose taking down your uncle with a girl on your back!”

Ara could only stare as a man in his fifties nursed his wounds with an ice pack. She felt bad and wanted to apologise. There was no denying that both she and Wonho were in the wrong. Wonho was crazy but that didn’t mean Ara was free from responsibility, she should have known better and stopped him sooner… even if it meant strangling him from behind.

“Halmoni!” Wonho exploded with aegyo, “That was an accident too! I don’t do it every day. You just happened to drop in at the wrong time –…”

“We’re sorry,” Ara blurted before she boldly dragged Wonho out from behind the Chairwomen’s back.

“What are we doing?” Wonho spun his head trying to get a glimpse of Ara’s face.

“Apologising,” she muttered trying to force him into a bow.

“For what?” Wonho never liked saying sorry to anyone.

“For acting like immature nine year olds,” she finally got his mouth shut and back bent.

“We don’t have an excuse,” she joined him and arched her back.

When Wonho wasn’t saying anything, she shot him a glare.

“Ah,” he tried to contain his irritation, “We’re sorry.”

The room was so silent that you could hear a pin drop.

“Very well,” the Chairwomen spoke up with a poker face, “You are dismissed.”

Ara expressed her gratitude and bowled again before leaving.

“Thanks Grandma!” Wonho straightened with a cheeky smile and was about to follow Ara out but the elder stopped him.

“Not so fast, no one said you could leave.”

“Aww Halmoni!” Wonho pouted and slouched into the nearest chair.

“Wonho,” his grandmother sighed, “What am I supposed to do with you?”

“Let me go and finish that project you assigned me?” Wonho tested his luck.

“I haven’t seen you for two months and you don’t have anything to say to this old lady?” she finally relaxed her expression.

“This is the company Halmoni, it’s the place for work not family talk,” Wonho’s statement left his grandmother speechless.

“Fine,” she unclasped her hands, “Go. You’re dismissed to fulfill your duties at work.”

“Thank you Halmoni!” Wonho happily pecked the elder on the cheek before skipping out the door.

The Chairwomen chuckled and shook her head as he disappeared, “What do you think Han?”

Wonho’s uncle removed the ice pack and chuckled as well, “I think that girl can do Wonho some good. I’ve never seen anyone treat Wonho like a puppet before or more precisely, I’ve never seen Wonho follow orders so well.”

“Say…” the corners of the old lady’s eyes crinkled, “I’ve always been nagging him to settle down and mature a bit more.”

His uncle glazed at the doorway thoughtfully, “Well, I think he just found his motivation.”
