Chapter 9

Jongin spent the night thinking. Not of Jinhye because it hurt to think about her, but thinking about ways to reverse the curse he placed upon himself. There was only so much he could do though because of his inability to grab objects. He can’t draw or write any formulas, he can’t search the internet, he can’t open and read through books. All he can do is use his mind to brainstorm everything and hopefully remember it by the time Jinhye comes the next day.

My current state is the result of causing a rip in the fabric of space and time, I am here but at the same time, I’m not here. I am a projection in the year 2016 that’s trapped in between relative time and the time vortex. This library acts as a time rift, because of that machine I built many years ago, the time rift was created, resulting in the library being encased with powerful quantum effects. If I’m correct…there should be an area of high concentration of space time. If I could close that, the rip between the fabric and space would be put back together again and allow my physical form to be relative again.

“I need to figure out the correct geometrics of space-time and implement that into general relativity” he said to himself with a sigh. It was all theory however, how was he supposed to figure it out by himself? Jinhye could help but she dosen’t know the mechanics of Physics and all he could think about is Junmyeon, whether he liked it or not, he needed Junmyeon’s help. Above all Jinhye trusted Junmyeon therefore he would trust him as well.

“Thank you for taking me home Suho!” she thanked using his old nickname while walking towards her front door.

“Yah stop, it’s an embarrassing name”

“Why? I really liked it, especially since it meant guardian. You were my guardian Junmyeon” she confessed.

“Well I’m touched and all but I still like my original name better” he said teasingly as they stopped right at her front door she turned to look back at him and stared into his eyes. His eyes were so warm and inviting that she couldn’t help but stare. I hope he doesn’t think I’m weird.

At the same time, he looked at her with so much admiration, he wanted to make a move but he didn’t know if it was the right time so he took the safer route.

“Ah well, tonight was great. I hope we can hang out more often and I will finally get to meet the Jongin dude you keep mentioning” he said. She nodded in response with a large smile across her face. Of course, whenever you want to hang, give me a call” she replied while unlocking the door to her house.

“Okay then, I’ll see you later then” he said as he waved at her.

“Yeah, goodbye, thanks for the dinner” she replied and went inside her door, turning once again to wave at him before closing it.

Just like that, he was left alone standing right outside her house. He was happy, his dream girl had dinner with him. It was safe to say that this night was the happiest he had been in years.

“Hey Jongin!” Jinhye greeted as she met him in the library. Jongin turned and greeted her with a small smile.

“Hey”

“So what’s up?” she asked as she sat next to him.

“Well I’ve been working and I’ve come up with a theory but I realised I won’t be able to do it without help because you know, I’m not tangible” he started.

“You’ve got me; I can help you. What do you need done” she asked with high spirits. She’d do anything to help Jongin.

“No offence Jinhye, but you might not be the greatest at what I need done” he slowly explained.

“Oh…I get it, I not smart enough to understand everything; am I right?” she asks still with that happy tone and it confused Jongin as to whether she was hurt by his statement or not.

“Well what kind of help?” she asked.

“Umm, I know this might seem rash and totally last minute but I need Junmyeon. I need you to explain everything about me to him so he can help me” he confessed with a hint of anger. He didn’t want Junmyeon to be here but it was the only option,

“Are you sure!? I was really thinking that Junmyeon would be plan C or even D not plan A!” she yelled out in surprise.

“I know but Plan A can’t work if there is no way to execute the plan in the first place” he riddled.

“Okay… How would I explain it to him? I really don’t want him to think I’m crazy”

“Jinhye the guy sat next to you for years listening to you obsess over the existence of ghosts. I’m pretty sure he would accept time travel as well…Besides if he doesn’t believe just bring him here and I will first hand provide him with proof a.k.a me” he said as if he were talking to a stupid person.

“Sooo, when do you want me to meet him? I could go now or-“ she was cut off, something he’s never done before.

“Go now. The sooner the better” he said in his deep monotone voice and she was absolutely astounded. Who is this guy in front of me? Because it’s not the Jongin I know! He’s acting like a jerk!

“O-okay...bye” she stuttered as she walked away. What’s wrong with him? He didn’t even say bye.

Jongin silently watched as she made her way to exit the library. Truthfully he didn’t know why he was acting so cold, maybe it was because he had to stoop as low as asking Junmyeon for help or maybe it was because he was jealous Junmyeon stole her away from him last night. Whatever it was, he took it out on Jinhye, who was entirely innocent. It’s all Junmyeon! He didn’t want to act that way, and he regretted it especially when he saw the look of hurt expressed on her face. Nice one Jongin.

“Aish! Why is everything so fricking difficult!?” he screamed out in annoyance.

Heyo! I've just realised that all the characters in this story start with a J -_- oh well
And That stuff about time travel is completely made up from words I found on wikipedia haha

Please tell me if this chapter was alright because I feel like i've lost my flow......
