so.......i didn't update when i said would AND I'M SO SORRY!!! imstartingtofeellikeygwithallthesebrokenpromises but no anyway i really am sorry, the day after when i was supposed to post it my family suddenly got all i dunno 'close' to me and i was like yeah no i am not writing/posting when my dad and mom are literally like two feet away from me---

i know its not much and i'm sorry if i disappoint any of you but like i said i haven't written anything remotely  in years OTL either way i hope you guys like it.

Xiumin had thanked whatever gods were listening for letting Sehun’s heat go by smoothly, or as smoothly as it could.

He had learned from the omega that his heats usually only lasted for five days.

As soon as they had finished that conversation is when Sehun slowly lost himself and started saying nonsensical things, at least for him, Xiumin already knew not to trust anything the omega said from that point on.

In the four days it seemed to pass by like a breeze, Sehun was indeed going through a worse heat than he had ever had but it wasn’t anything extreme. Usually Xiumin petting him and cooing sweet nothings into his ear helped.

Except on the third day when he had to kiss him, he was self-conscious enough kissing him he really didn’t want to go any further.

It’s not like he didn’t want to kiss the omega, he truly did, but underneath the pheromones he could still smell that small sense of fear and dread. He really didn’t want to scare Sehun away, not after how far they had come, he couldn’t imagine being sent back to the beginning.

Thankfully the omega was sated and the fourth day also passed by, but that didn’t mean Xiumin wasn’t anxious.

It was the fifth and supposed to be final day of Sehun’s heat.

He had no idea what was waiting for him, if the omega’s body had something else planned for him and he again truly hoped it wouldn’t come down to anything like that. There had already been more than a few instances where Xiumin had to leave the house completely to stop himself from doing something he knew they would both regret once the omega came off his heat.

Steadying himself he walked up the stairs slowly. He had been urging the omega to stay hydrated and eat throughout his heat, even if it was something small.

Tentatively he knocked on the door and heard a small moan that resembled ‘come in’ opening the door he was met with his almost mate still wrapped up in his sheets. He hadn’t even tried to move his mate to his own room, Sehun, during one of the times where he was coherent enough, said it hurt enough when the alpha left the room. He couldn’t even dream how it would feel if he left the alpha’s room so Xiumin let him be. Also not wanting to risk having the omega closer than he needed him to be.

“Hey Hunnie, how are you doing today?” Xiumin spoke softly, making sure none of the usual authority was in his voice, knowing it would only encourage more pheromones to be released.

Sehun answered him in an almost breathless voice, like he was struggling and Xiumin bit his lip in worry.

“F-Fine, are you o-okay hyung?”

The omega had seen Xiumin have to leave before he did something and even though a small part of was afraid of what an alpha of Xiumin’s power could do to him, a bigger part of him was concerned for his mate. He knew it wasn’t easy being around in heat omega even more so if that omega was your mate.

“Good. Better than I was yesterday.” He tried showing a smile but it came off a bit weak if Sehun’s expression was anything to go by. “Anyway drink some water.”

The alpha held out a glass of water as Sehun slowly sat up, grabbing the glass from him careful their fingers didn’t touch.

Like he said before he really didn’t want to touch the omega any more than he needed to, at this point anything could set the other off.

After he drank half the glass Xiumin brought a piece of toast to his lips as Sehun leaned against the headboard. In the end Sehun had eaten two piece of toast with jelly, some eggs, and drank his orange juice.

For Xiumin that was enough, it was more than he had eaten the night before.

“Do you feel better now?”

Sehun nodded and Xiumin gathered everything up again and steadily readied himself for what would happen next. Just like he had expected his omega moaned and started rolling around in his sheets, his heat spiking up, more pheromones were released and Xiumin quickly left the room before his own could start responding.

They had fallen into this routine. Xiumin would feed him breakfast, lunch, and dinner but after he would leave for an hour then come back up when the hour was finished. He then would spend time coddling the omega and patting his head with a cold towel trying in vain to cool the other down. Xiumin would usually stay two or three hours, sometimes he left early to control himself and other times he left to go make them food.

He had made sure everyone was out of the house, including all the staff. He knew Sehun was having it bad enough already since the omega was usually alone for his heats and he didn’t want him to be embarrassed even more. So it fell upon Xiumin to make sure they didn’t starve.

Thankfully his mothers had already taught him how to cook, saying he couldn’t depend on his mate for food.

In the breaks Xiumin had for an hour he would wash the dishes, inspect the house. Staying far away from his room though. He even read his past notebooks. Anything to keep him busy and occupied, to distract him from his mate.

Once he finished everything he inspected his work then looked at the time. He sighed heavily as the hour was already up.

Slowly he walked back up the stairs, he didn’t hear anything so he figured Sehun had fallen asleep. That seemed to be the omega’s favorite way of making his heat pass but Xiumin entered and just sat in his chair sideways from his bed. Sehun stopped shaking as he walked in and that was something that relived him immensely.

Since the omega was sleeping he leaned his head back and decided to take a nap, the past four days he had been too on edge to even fall asleep and if he did it wouldn’t be for long.

When he woke it was due to a very large spike of pheromones in the air, he jolted up and stared at the omega withering on his bed. He looked close to tears.

“S-Sehun.” He jumped up and rushed to his side.

The other didn’t say anything for a while, just whimpered and cried softly as a few tears fell down and it broke Xiumin’s heart that his mate was in so much pain and he couldn’t even do anything to help. Right when he was going to move away thinking it would be better if he just left so the other wouldn’t have to deal with his pheromones as well Sehun caught his wrist and held on tight. His grip was tighter than it had ever been, it shocked and quite frankly concerned the alpha greatly.

“W-What’s wrong?”

There was only silence and he tried prying the grip off but the omega was adamant about making him stay. “Sehun?”

Waiting for response Xiumin frowned looking at his wrist and deciding to try one more time.

“Sehunnie….can you hear me?”

He still didn’t get an answer rather he got Sehun pulling him down and crashing their lips together.

Obviously he was taken aback but followed along just wanting to help his mate in whatever way he could although he still remembered the boundaries they had set before.

He wasn’t sure how everything had lead up to this point but he was currently shirtless on top of Sehun their lips connected. It didn’t seem like his heat was calming down like it usually did and Xiumin quickly realized it was making the omega desperate as he started humping against his leg. Pinning his hips down Xiumin pulled back from their kiss making Sehun protest before it was cut off by his own moan as the alpha started nibbling on his neck. He kissed his way down before over the junction where your neck and shoulder meet.

He kissed it once more before he bit and it softly, he felt Sehun’s nails down his back and applied just a little bit more pressure before letting and it over again, continuing his trail of kisses down.

He stopped right above the hem of the other’s boxers. He still remembered what they talked about but he still feared the other would become afraid of him.

Sitting up he pulled the other onto his lap and kissed him fiercely again trying to distract him as his hand slipped under his boxers and wrapped around . Sehun mewled and wrapped his arms around Xiumin’s neck holding him even closer as Xiumin started languidly him. The omega soon started bucking his hips up into his hand. Xiumin pulled down the omega’s boxers until his was free, quickening his pace.

He could feel the burst of pheromones and knew the omega’s body was trying to get him to respond, he needed to get this over with as quickly as possible so he could get out.

Xiumin broke from their kiss when he sensed Sehun near the edge, he knew the other was close by the never ending stream of hormones. He went back to the mark he had left earlier knowing it would be sensitive and it, sinking his teeth in again at the same time he gently but firmly pressed his thumb against the other’s slit. Sehun trembled in his arms and he repeated the motion making two smaller love bites as he did so and watched as Sehun’s back arched, letting out a loud moan, his eyes shut in pleasure.

His eyes looked glazed over and Xiumin made the mistake of looking into them deeply, Sehun didn’t say anything but it looked like he wanted too by the way he slightly opened his mouth yet closed it again. Xiumin figured Sehun gave up on trying to say whatever it was he wanted to as he saw the omega’s eyes beginning to close.

The alpha didn’t need to look at his hand to know what was on it, he closed his eyes tightly trying to calm himself as Sehun slouched against him completely exhausted.

Xiumin just held him closely, listening to his deep pants before they evened out and he realized the omega had fallen asleep. The good thing was the alpha felt his heat receding meaning it really was the last day. With a sigh he got up and walked to his connected bathroom to wash his hands then came back with a wet rag to wipe the other clean.

After that he pulled the covers up over him, pulling his boxers back up and kissed his head before leaving the room wondering what would happen between them the following day.

He sighed not even wanting to think about that yet and instead made quick work of calling his mothers to let them know they could come back and bring their staff back with them.

While he was taking a shower he couldn’t help but think of negatively. He was plagued with thoughts of Sehun not wanting to be near him anymore. Not trusting him. Hating him.

That last one really bothered him, it dug a stake through his heart. After everything they had been through Xiumin really didn’t want to be sent back to square one. He knew he was helping and he knew he had spoken to Sehun right before but he still couldn’t help but get chills down his back whenever he thought about it. Shaking his head he rushed his shower and tried rushing everything out.

If the alpha was being honest he barely got any sleep that night. He was tired and drained from holding himself back for so long but thoughts of what could happen in the morning kept him up.
