Hyoyeon smiled as she saw all her friends. They had actually planned a welcoming party for Ha Eun as she will be part of their big family. They were happily chatting and catching up with each other but Hyoyeon noticed that Seohyun wasn’t really in the mood so she approached her.

“What’s wrong?” she asked as she sat down beside her. Seohyun was a little startled; she then looked at the person beside her.

“Nothing.” she answered with a smile. Of course Hyoyeon noticed the fake smile she had just shown. She knew her too well, whenever there was something bothering her it would always show even when she tries her best to cover it up.

“It’s not nothing now spill it. Did you have a fight with Kyuhyun?” she teased, she wanted to at least lighten her mood. Seohyun looked at her unnie with wide eyes.

“Yah! Even if I get into a fight with him I won’t sulk.” she then smiled and that made Hyoyeon smile as well. At least she was able to make her smile a genuine smile.

“I’ll tell you some other time. I don’t think now would be a good time.” Seohyun suddenly said breaking the silence they had and Hyoyeon just nodded in agreement.

“Now c’mon you should play with Ha Eun.” she said as she pulled her and they made their way to Ha Eun who was being carried by Eunhyuk.

Everyone was having a good time until Doojoon cleared his throat and everyone looked at him. “I have a very important announcement.” he started. One by one they all went back to their respective seats and waited for what he had to say. From the sound of his voice it seemed to be very serious.

“Are you sure that my daughter was adopted?” Gyuri asked the nun once again. She didn’t get any answer when she visited last night and so she went back again. The nun just nodded with a halfhearted smile. She saw how Gyuri’s face fell when she heard the news but she can’t do anything she left her daughter.

“Please tell me who adopted her. I want to see her.” she begged as tears brimmed down her now red eyes.

“I’m sorry but I think it’s best if you just let her be. I assure you that she’s in well hands.” the nun said.

“I won’t take her I just want to at least see her.” she pleaded as she continued to cry. The nun felt the pain she was feeling so she decided to hug her. She patted her back as Gyuri endlessly cried. The thought that she won’t ever see her daughter hurt her, she didn’t really want to leave her but knowing that she was a mistake made her heart feel pain and anger. She left her daughter because she reminded her of that one night wherein she was taken advantage off by a guy who was not even the man she loves. She was scared that once she sees her daughter her bottled up anger would just explode and she’ll end up venting it on the poor child. She just avoided the possibility that would hurt the both of them but now she realized that it was the biggest mistake of her life.

She went out of the orphanage with red and swollen eyes. She then received a text message, after reading it she hesitated. She didn’t know if she was to go or not.

“This may be very sudden but…” he spoke as all eyes were on him.

“Just get on with it!” Kangin said losing his patience. Taeyeon who was beside him suddenly smacked him on the back of his head.

“Be patient.” she said as she ushered Doojoon to continue what he had to say.

“As I was saying, this may be a bit sudden but the nuns had given me a very good news last night. They said they might be able to find Junghye-sshi’s daughter.” he said as he looked at the said woman with a bright smile.

“Re-really?” she stuttered, she was really happy to hear such news.

“Then this calls for a double celebration.” Eunhyuk said as he raised his glass and the rest followed having a toast.

After having their toast the door suddenly opened revealing a very familiar person. All eyes were on her.

“Gyuri.” Eunhyuk said in a whisper.

“And the other news is that Gyuri is back.” Doojoon suddenly said.

Everyone became like a statue as they didn’t move although almost all of them knew that she was back they didn’t expect her to be there. There were still unsettled issues that made the atmosphere a little bit awkward.

Doojoon then stood beside her and gave her a smile. She smiled back at him but then it faded once she saw Eunhyuk carrying a baby.

“It’s nice that you’re back. You’re just in time we’re actually welcoming our daughter Ha Eun into our family.” Eunhyuk said as he pulled Hyoyeon closer to him. Hyoyeon looked at him with wide eyes. She wanted to protest to what he said but she couldn’t find her voice probably due to shock. Although she knows that Eunhyuk loves her she can’t help but feel insecure, his first love just came back and his feelings for her might come back.

Gyuri felt a little left out, it’s been years since she last saw her friends and she had to admit that a lot has changed. She felt a little jealous that it was like Hyoyeon had taken over her place. It was a good thing Shindong and Yuri talks to her and updated her with their lives. One thing they forgot to mention though was Eunhyuk and Hyoyeon was not yet married and that they just adopted Ha Eun. That topic just slipped off their mind, and she didn’t bother asking so they never told her.

“Congratulations.” she said to Hyoyeon. Then she looked at Ha Eun and smiled at her. “If I had known then I would’ve brought something. Doojoon didn’t tell me the occasion.” she added as she rubbed her right arm.

“It’s alright. It’s nice to have you back. You don’t know how your friends had missed you.” she said with a smile.

Gyuri looked at her. “You mean our friends.” she corrected and they both laughed. “I’ll try and visit some time to give Ha Eun a welcoming present.” she said.

“Thank you.” was all Hyoyeon had said as she waved goodbye and followed Eunhyuk who went ahead. She noticed how Gyuri wanted to talk to Eunhyuk but the latter avoided her. She decided to have a talk with him later.

Once she had tucked Ha Eun in her bed, she went to see Eunhyuk off.

“I’ll be leaving now. Good night.” he said as he kissed her on the cheeks.

“You should have a talk with her. I saw how she wanted to talk to you earlier but you avoided her and that was really rude.” Eunhyuk looked at her.

“We have nothing to talk about.” he answered coldly.

“She’s your friend at least have some decency to catch up with her. I know you have a past but can’t you just shove that aside?”

“You don’t know how hurt I was because of her and when I saw her that pain came back.”

She saw the hurt in his eyes and she would lie if she said that she wasn’t affected with what he just said. “And that’s why I’m telling you to talk to her.”

“Why did you suddenly bring her up anyway? I’m already happy with my life.”

“Are you really? You just said earlier that you were hurt. That means you haven’t forgotten about her yet. Don’t fool yourself and make yourself believe that you’re alright when you’re really not.” Eunhyuk hated it when Hyoyeon saw right through him. Every word she said was right. When he saw Gyuri his feelings got all mixed up. He saw that her eyes were starting to get wet.

He pulled her as he wraps his arms around her body and whispered “You know I love you, right?” she was happy to hear him say that but she had a feeling that something was going to happen.

I can see your guesses but I won't say anything... you all just have to wait for the next chapters... one thing though I think there will be drama coming up... to be honest it was not supposed to go this way but since I've already made it like that I'll try and see on what I can do... :p
